The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess

Hero-of-Time

Recommended Posts

I've just started the 3rd dungeon. Spent 3 hours playing this game just now. :)

I spent a lot of time trying to get out of lake bludd hylia! Very, very frustrating.

But then, the sequence after that made up for it:

where you have to take the zora kid to kakariko. Escorting.

I really love this game. Horse riding is really so awesome.

I envy you guys who haven't beaten the game yet. I want to beat the game with that fresh feeling again, but alas now it is done that can never be. What I can offer after the experience are some spoiler-free thoughts.

Wow.

Yeah, that's it. Just wow. It was fantastic.

Now you lot better get on with playing it! You're in for a treat.

When I said I have been playing for over 3 hours now, I meant that I was playing it for about 3 hours yesterday. :heh:

No idea what my total play time is. Maybe 15 hours?

This game is awesome! It took me over 45 hours to complete the mainquest but I still have a lot of sidequests to do. I only have about 30 poes and 10 golden bugs, so I'll be finding those things for hours and there are still over 30 piece of hearts that I haven't found yet.

Fishing is so damn good that I'll be playing that for hours. I just catched Hylian Pike (24 inches) so now I have caught Hylian Pike (24 inches), Hyrule Bass (22 inches) and Ordon Catfish (27 inches) in the Fishing Hole. There is only Hylian Loach left, am I right? I've heard that I can catch the Hylian Loach only at summer? It has been spring every time I have been fishing, so how those seasons change?

I JUST BEAT IT.

WOHOO,

the final battle was AMAZING, had me off my seat really putting the energy into my sword swings, even though i knew it wasn't 1:1 motion detection, it was brilliant.

Though i kinda feel it ended sooner than it should have, or i just wanted it to last longer cause i was loving it so much.

It seemed like they went back to OOT and just improved on it from there, would have been nice to have more side-quests ala Majora's Mask, which is what i was hoping for, a massive game like OOT, mixed with the many characters and things to do of Majoras Mask, but hey what I got was still class, definatly better than Wind Waker IMO, though not sure how I'd rate it against OOT yet, i have to let it sink in a bit more that I actually beat it.

Still have some bugs, poes and heart pieces to find though and i just noticed that the last time i saved was just after finishing the outside part of the last temple, so I can just pick up from there to get everything and then go back and go through the last temple over again... then after that start the game ALL OVER again, hahaha, I LOVE IT

What is up with you guys finishing it so quickly?! I get sick of it if I play it for that long at a stretch...so I just go outside and wander around the field...the...I guess thats why I've clocked up so much time...everytime I see a boulder I go OMFG! have to blow it up, and I'm trying to find some side quests...I don't get why you would want to complete it that quickly...cherish the moments :heh:

It took me 50 hours to beat it and I wasn't exactly rushing. Kinda disappointed in the lack of side quests, but everything else about the game more than makes up for it.

I didn't want to finish it so quickly, but when I play a game with a story I tend to want to see what happens next. I did get side tracked a few times of course, everytime i found a new area of the map i'd hop on Epona and take a ride around and see if anything looks "interesting" (ie: might hold a secret, like the boulders), I had hoped there would be more side quests which would distract me from the main game to make it last longer, but hey still a great game.

all i can say about zelda is the attract sequence where he lifts th master sword in time to the music gives me goosebumps... every single time... and i'm nearing the end of the game.

it is, in one word, amazing.

Actually I didn't think the master sword sequence was all that good, was kinda disappointing compared to awesome goosebumpness of when you 1st get it in Ocarina of Time.... then again maybe I was just a bit p'd off that the statue puzzle bit before it took ages and was so frustrating.

Did anyone else when first getting the Master Sword go "hey this looks familar, I wonder is this the ruins of the Temple of Time from Ocarina of Time, those statue are new but the sword chamber definatly has a air of de ja vu.

Then later in the game when you get back there and you get to "into the past" and see the area before it became a ruin and it IS the Temple of Time, it was like OMG, its the Temple of Time.

It was different yet still so familar, it was so cool to enter the sword chamber again and see it how we knew it in OOT, brilliant touch by Nintendo
