Cube Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Sure as long as people don't go whining about the fact that I was disappointed with TP. You seem to love it an awful lot...why else would you visit this thread so much?
DCK Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Don't go whining about the consequences then.I never opened threads about my personal discontent with members that ended up being flooded with gay porn and resulted in the banning of members. My point is, you cannot just say "I'll do what I want here". This is not your forum, there are other people coming here. It's a stupidly childish attitude.
motion Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I never opened threads about my personal discontent with members that ended up being flooded with gay porn and resulted in the banning of members. Their fault, they shouldn't have flooded a topic with gay porn + other stuff. My point is, you cannot just say "I'll do what I want here". This is not your forum, there are other people coming here. It's a stupidly childish attitude. Agreed, I was reacting to being told not to 'start this shit again'. You seem to love it an awful lot...why else would you visit this thread so much? I do love the game. I just thought it was disappointing.
The Lillster Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Agreed, I was reacting to being told not to 'start this shit again'. Ok how about... Don't start this shit again, PLEASE!
Lens of Truth Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Lay off motion2000. He's as entitled to his opinion as anyone else, and what's more, he gives perfectly respectable reasons for his discontents. I can't believe how censorious this forum gets sometimes.. If you think what he says is inherently wrong, unacceptable, or unduly repetitious, then why not counter by saying what you love about the 'Temple of Time' or how incredible the 'City in the Sky' was.. surely that's what forums are all about.. On another note altogether, I'd be interested to to hear what everyone fav temple is.. I know it's a tad on the easy side, but I'd have to say that the atmosphere of the Snowpeak ruins captivated me! Or maybe the Lakebed Temple as a close 2nd - great sense of interconnection to the puzzles, and brilliant boss and mini-boss.

I don't really care what he says to be perfectly honest with you, I was just moaning for the fact that he's already told us he's dissapointed with the game a thousand times already. And to me, it just seems like he's coming in here to spam the thread. Anyway, Zelda Peace! On another note altogether, I'd be interested to to hear what everyone fav temple is.. Also it was the 1st dungeon which I had to actually think hard to complete (which is a good thing because the 1st 2 temples were a peace of piss to complete).
motion Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Lay off motion2000. He's as entitled to his opinion as anyone else, and what's more, he gives perfectly respectable reasons for his discontents. Cheers LoT. You don't get many people with that much common sense on here. On another note altogether, I'd be interested to to hear what everyone fav temple is.. Snowpeak. Amazing atmosphere and the background music was stunning and fit the scene perfectly. The only temple music I can actually remember, oh, except that horrible City in the Sky one. Still, cool weapon, different sub-boss fight, stunning boss battle, beautiful location and the storyline with the husband and wife was a breath of fresh air in the game.
Lens of Truth Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 It's so much fun to go back to the temples and get all the heart pieces etc (I tend to have tunnel vision towards to boss on my first attempt). There are some really crafty ones on Snowpeak.. one in particular involving some pendulum-type swinging and perfect timing just made me realise how much in a league of its own the big Z is.
Kav Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I'd say my fav temple is either the Lakebed Temple or the Arbiter's Grounds... son't think I can decide between the two!
Zell Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 City in the sky was the best temple. It provided a good challenge, was nice and lengthy and had an awesome boss.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 City in teh sky was pretty far out. It was almost like a different game. And you got the coolest item, the dual clawshots. Other than that, Temple of Time was pretty cool.
motion Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 The boss was incredible but I just found the only skill necessary for City in the Sky was 'find the next hookshot target', hardly a challenge. Plus the temple itself made no sense, especially after they made a dungeon fit in with the location really well before hand (Snowpeak/Temple of Time), to suddenly have a supposed City where creatures are living as a series of rooms with lots of hookshot targets everywhere didn't really make a lot of sense. In my opinion: Forest Temple: It was ok. A bit dull visually. Goron Mines: Quite nice, liked it a lot. Lakebed: Lacking any sort of character I found. Pretty boring compared to OOT and especially MM versions. Arbiter's Grounds: awesome, with the best Zelda boss battle ever. Snowpeak: Awesome in every sense except length. Temple of Time: Nice visually, but apart from that, dull, linear to the extreme, stupidly short and easy. City in the Sky: Finding hookshot targets in every room isn't what I call fun and smacked of laziness. Horrible music, and a boring item. Temple 8: Fantastic but far too short. There should have been another couple of 'sols' to collect. Final dungeon: nah, prefered Ganon's Castle from OOT and WW far more. Nice outdoor puzzles though.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Anyway, Zelda How can you say that after refusing to let someone talk about it?
motion Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 How can you say that after refusing to let someone talk about it? He's a bit 'special' never mind
Slaggis Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I got bored with the game after the goron part....i sold it on ebay soon after. I preferred windwaker, but then again i;ve never been a huge fan of zelda games so...(dont moan at me for having an opinion lol)
The Lillster Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 He's a bit 'special' never mind LOL! And this is coming from someone who started a thread about someone using the word gay, to describe their thoghts towards a game. I've said what I said because I thought you were spamming the thread, again. Take the piss out of my intelligence again though, my reply won't be half as rosy as this one.
Ellmeister Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I didn't like city in the sky, it got on my nerves, although the boss was one of my favourites, and the weapon obtained was great. I just didn't like the moving about for this one. My favourite is probably temple of time. Good fun ^^
motion Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Take the piss out of my intelligence again though, my reply won't be half as rosy as this one. Ooooo scary. If you were intelligent, you'd just ignore me. Back on topic, I agree Ellmeister.
KKOB Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I can't believe The People vs motion200 is still going on, its been MONTHS now since this game came out. It is what it is. Let motion say what he want's but theres no point in going blue in the face whens its just about opinions. and if you wanted to you could always critique something.
Tyson Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Ooooo scary. If you were intelligent, you'd just ignore me. Back on topic, I agree Ellmeister. Where's the Motion2000 dildo sword when you need it? Back on topic, that sword would work great in the Goron area, where it seems to be a 24 hour man party. I wonder what a female Goron would look like.
motion Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Where's the Motion2000 dildo sword when you need it? I believe that member got rightfully banned. :awesome: Cheers Takeo
Patch Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 My favourite dungeon is the Sky one. I think the music in TP was generally forgettable which is what made the Sky dungeon stand out for me. It had haunting sounds, an eerie ambience and an unorthodox location that really made me feel isolated and nervous. I suppose it was the closest Link came to donning a space suit and arm cannon! It also had two sections that stumped me for a while, though I think I was having a lapse at the time. If you keep heading straight on, you come to these great big fan blades that are impossible to navigate without the double hookshots, but which fooled me into thinking I was doing something wrong with my single hookshot. Also, I got stuck on the bit where you raise and lower yourself on the hookshot attached to the floating whirlicopter things. I overanalysed it and instead tried to use the iron boots to raise and lower myself! That was er . . . challenging. And, as has already been said, it had a great boss.

Although the Gerudo Desert dungeon Boss takes some beating. My fave dungeon has to be the Temple of Time. Took me completely by surprise!
