An independent shop in the West End of Glasgow. I think they were featured for a while in N64 Magazine as the best importer in Britain.
-
I thought it was Spain. And I called the shop I'm getting my Wii in and they said I could buy it tomorrow, the 7th
-
Aw I missed it, anyone know if it'll be repeated sometime maybe like on the 10 o'clock news?
-
When you say the Wiis will only be dispatched on Thursday and no one will get their Wii until Friday between 9am and 6pm, this is only for people who bought online right? There's still a chance I could pick up my Wii on Thursday?
-
So far Nintendo have used Sharp Aquos TVs in everything to do with the Wii, so it'll probably be those.

Man, I can't believe how long we've been waiting. Definately gonna be worth it though. -
Up until recently I didn't really like Ubi games all that much, Rayman was OK but I got bored of it, but BGaE really turned that around, that game was just amazing, and I loved the story... and Jade Bring on BGaE2!

Well obviously in some conditions it must make some sort of improvement otherwise it wouldn't be packed in with the Wii, it all costs money. Maybe at some point someone will figure out a way to place the IR lights which makes the wii remote work better, after all I've heard a few reports of it going a bit funky sometimes.

Is it just in Firefox? Does Internet Explorer or any other online apps work? Have you got any other computers on the router and Do they work?

Update: What VC games do you want?- Podcast Now Up
Jackster replied to Conor_NE's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I really want to have Streets of Rage 3 for Mega Drive on VC. I loved the first two, but I played them before I had the Internet or read gaming magazines so I had no idea there was a third one. I saw some screenshots of it the other day and thought 'I want that game... now' EDIT: And I would love it if they added a save feature to all the Streets of Rage games for VC. -
I was more just aiming for the fact that underneath it all it's the same console and it still plays the same games (even although it is much sexier )

I think that is possibly the best idea I've heard since it was said the Wii won't have DVD playback. I mean think about it, the Wii has a DVD drive, it can read DVDs fine since that's what the games are stored on. Now look at a computer, most computers have DVD drives, but you need to install a DVD playback codec to play a DVD movie. I think Nintendo could possibly release something like this through Wii ware. The question is, however, will they go down this road or will they do a Nintendo DS to Nintendo DS Lite style thing and charge you the price of a full console to get the new features?

Hey what happened!? Wii sales just fell from 7xx,xxx to 4xx,xxx
-
I seem to remember the Gamecube also had some nice coloured prototypes that never materialized
-
I think she was more thinking along the lines of piracy.... Oh the horror!
-
Yeah you can, the guy in the Kotaku video did both those I think. EDIT: Lol, beat me to it triforce_keeper
-
Just thought I should say that the guy at the shop I'm pre ordering at said they were getting 7 Wii on the 8th and they would be getting some more the week after
-
I have a feeling that any hardware defects will probably apply to all regions as haven't the majority of the Wiis already been boxed up and are just waiting to go out to the shops? Although hopefully any problems with updates should be resolved by nintendo as soon as it is released in Europe/Japan.

I suppose it's like when your Sky box is in standby mode, it shuts down everything except the OS and Networking (incase there are any firmware updates).
-
Ditto! I went into my fav. local indy game shop and pre-ordered their last Wii! I felt a tremendous sense of luck that day I suppose some people thought Amazon was probably going to be the most reliable since they were only starting the pre-orders when they knew their exact allocations.

I see where you're coming from, and while I agree with you somewhat, I still believe there's room for some traditional play with a traditional controller. For example, Mario Kart DS is, in my opinion, the best game available for DS but it makes very limited use of the touch screen and only uses the microphone for blowing up balloons which I think can also be done using the select button. Hell, it probably could have also been made on only one screen and opted for a display like we see in Mario Kart Super Circuit. I'd like to make it clear that I do really love the idea behind the touch screen, microphone and the Wii Remote, but I still enjoy games which use the old style of control and I think that some games should at least give the option of maybe using the classic controller.
