Well, we didnt got a whole lot of info or media on this game for quite some time. If it means we'll get a better game in the end, I'll happily wait for it. Still, it's quite a shame though.

This game has me attached to the Wii. Seriously, this game is so awesome. I've reached the Castle area now. Compared to the GC game, I think the controls work very well. It was a bit weird at first, but you get used to it very quickly. Cant see myself going back to the old controls now. The only thing I found odd are the Sniper mode and the briefcase interface. I want wiimote pointer functionality there.

Some horrible screens there. let's just say it was captured or saved badly. I'll wait for a movie...

Ah, good to know there's appreciation to this game. Definitely one of the freshest and funniest game in YEARS! Not bad for an upstart studio: Nintendo EAD Tokyo, the same team behind Mario Galaxy. I never got around to finish it, but I had lots and lots of fun. Definitely a must-buy if you can find it. No regrets there.

I'd say Sadness is real and will be an awesome game, because.... they say so on their website! I'm quoting: "Sadness will be a AAA title". Haha. Seriously, I think Nibris is real, but the company doesnt differ that much from an indie developer, apart of being an official DS/Wii developer (apparently). I think they're being too ambitious and lack the PR skills other developers have. They announced Sadness way to early, when it was just in conceptual stages. They make fool of themselves by announcing more and more titles without ever releasing real footage, apart from ROTR, which should have been released last year. I dont think they even have a publisher. So while I think the company is real and they're serious about game development, I think they're being too ambitious. If Sadness gets a release on Wii at all, it'll either not meet up to expectations or their team has grown tenfold to complete it. It'd be better if they focus on DS first. Develop 2-3 titles in the first year, rake in some cash and expand the studio to develop Wii games.

As far as i can remember, it's been confirmed, but it isnt due out till the first half of 2008, when all other versions are released.

So far it sounds pretty good. I like the 32P online mode and how it's customizable. Shame there's no support for 4P offline mode. Where's the logic in that? They could, however, add 2P or 4P mode for the on-rails part. Ghost Squad (2-4P) and RE:UC (2P) are doing it. I wonder how much of a difference these modes are. I mean, are you playing the same level, the same enemy placement, just automatic movement in there? It's quite sad that EA has to resolve using their own online network for their games (NBA 08, FIFA 08 being the others) instead of Nintendo WFC. Certainly proves how great the service is. It's so far so good for me personally (DS and Wii), but it's not good enough me thinks.

Yeah, saw those screens on Neogaf when I followed Gonintendo's link. My first impression? "Now, THAT's more like it!" and "Hm, is this in-game, cos it looks really good for Wii". Only then to realize I was looking at SC4 screens. Then gazing upon the SCL screens... i wasnt wowed. Im sure the game looks good when i fire it up on my Wii. But comparing them is just plain silly. And yeah, somehow i can seem to be wowed. I've yet to be wowed by any Wii game btw. The only game that wowed me was RE4. But only because impressed how much effort Capcom has taken to reach the bottom of the Cube and how far ahead of its time it was.

Oh thanks for clearing that up. I was suspecting that already, since i havent entered said house yet. Now i know i can safely progress without regretting :P

So when the hell are we getting Pokemon battle Revolution anyway!?
IMJ replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in Nintendo Gaming
After being sucked in at Pokemon Pearl, im somewhat curious to play this game now. Still wont get it if it's full price. Might consider it if it's down to 30 euro. The late release of PBR is mostly due to the late release of Diamond/Pearl. That fanbase has to be built to even moderately sell PBR. Without it, it's pretty much worthless. Still, the release dates could be much better in Europe though. Yup, im looking at you Paper Mario, Trauma Center and Elebits/Eledees -
I've started playing yesterday. Is it me or does the game play easier than the GC version? Im playing on Normal now. In the first section in the village. I remember there was that crazy chainsaw guy. There's nothing like it. After a certain amount of time, the bell rings and they leave the village. I didnt go in the house with the Shotgun though, perhaps that's what will trigger it? Or should I play on a harder level?

Now this one is unexpected. I love the idea! Another playable character that has a unique capability and fighting style. Keep the surprises coming!

The game wasnt listed in the Q3/Q4 release list of NOE (you know, the one with Advance Wars DS2). So I dont have my hopes up. They might still add it to the lineup though. But to be very honest, I think Fire Emblem would do best in a non-competitive time-frame. Releasing it in the holidays, it will get overshadowed and neglected by the 'big' boys. The fans will get it, but i think we're in a shocking minority compared to most of the Wii crowd out there. Releasing it in say, February, then it will get some exposure at least. I just want it ASAP, but I do think it's important that the game does well. Good sales = more Fire Emblem support

Why is everyone saying Sunshine was a bad game? Labeling it as a "disaster" doesnt do the game justice. I remember when it was released everyone was praising the game. Sure, Sunshine didnt have the impact of the original. It never could. Mario 64 was a game of many first: first N64 game, first 3D Mario game, first true 3D controlled game. I found Sunshine very enjoyable. The environments may have been different, but it was very enjoyable. It built upon the N64 game. Plus, you could ride a Yoshi, which wasnt possible before. It kinda feels like people dissing Zelda: TP. People just keep on moaning and moaning:shakehead EDIT: Oh and ontopic, as much as I'd love to see a true 3D Pokemon game like the handheld ones, I really dont see it happening anytime soon. Do you realize how expansive the handheld games are? Doing all of that in highly detailed 3D graphics, it would take ages to develop. I'd say it'd take 4 years to develop it, which would mean it'll be for the console after the Wii. However, the mean reason i think it hasnt moved to the consoles yet, it because its mean attraction is because it is a handheld game. You can Pokemon anywhere, take it with you and raise them, capture them and most of all, trade 'm. On a console you're limited to all these aspects. So i'd say, no chance we'd see a full console version. A next-gen pokemon on the next handheld with GC-like capabilities though....

Same fair point there Pedro. It's true some of the textures are kinda horrible when up-close. Same goes for the odd poly models every now and then. You may consider a few things though. As far as I've seen, Wii screenshots look bad. Seriously bad. Nothing like the real deal. Can't remember the GC had such a problem. You may also consider that RE:UC is a different type of game. You have no time to go explore. Each area is shown for a limited amount of time, it's much more fast-paced than RE4 ever was. So you may not notice when playing. Finally, RE4 was in production for.. what? 4 years? RE:UC has been 2 at most, if not less. All that said, I do think it's no excuse to expect anything less than the last generation. Hopefully RE:UC is only a sign of better things to come.

Did anyone notice that there was an update to TG-16's R-TYPE game? I browsed the new shop the other day and it said it was updated. So i downloaded the updated game. Havent played the game since though, so not sure what it fixed. Probably some minor bugs or something.

As much as I love to see it this year, I think it'll be Feb/Mar 08 for us. On the other hand, Eurogamer does have this game listed in their Most Wanted 2007 Wii list: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=81169&page=2 We got a crowded year's end coming up (Galaxy, MP3, BWII, RE:UC, Mario&Sonic etc), but so does the US. They even get SSBB AND Fire Emblem. So who knows, maybe we're lucky.

Seriously, it is really 1775 blocks? I barely have over a 1000 blocks left! This came out of nowhere. I like surprises like these. Keep 'm coming. And IGN's Matt was complaining the other day about a lack of hype and promotion. Well, there you are.

I thought that the DS game was pretty decent, also has online mode. Better than the console counterparts. Tbh, i was tempted by this game. Graphically it looks quite good on Wii and it's should be pretty fun to destroy things. But then again, it's pretty shallow and wont hold my attention for long. So ive got my pennies saved for the must have games coming in a few weeks/months' time.

I heard the Shop Channel was down for a few hours yesterday. It really was wishful thinking they would have a relevant update, but there it is. New and improved! I like the sound of it I dont see any blue light, I wonder if Nintendo will send a message to the us. Last time there was an update, i didnt get the message till the day after. So who knows. Apparently, the Wii menu boots up quicker after returning to it, that would be awesome. I hate how long it takes me to get back to it. Also, finally we get the weather straight in the menu! I wonder when we get can play VC games straight from SD cards. If at all... Anyway, nice update. Keep surprising us! Edit: Also, bummer for the modders among us. Im glad i resisted the temptation!

Now THAT'S a good update. The best we've yet seen. The single player mode has my attention now. Shame shame we won't get SSBB this year
-
Im also loving the fact it has 4 player co-op modes. That's just awesome. I wonder if it'll be the main game though, as from what ive seen so far, it only had a 2P HUD. Maybe a 4P mini-game or sidestory? I believe IGN said they were adding content to the original arcade game.

As much as I'd love to see RE5 on Wii, i really dont see it making. Same goes for MSG4 btw. Wii is a totally different beast than the 360/PS3. Dumbing down graphics an performance is on thing, but those complex calculations (assuming they'll send hordes of different looking enemies at you all at once) just wouldnt be possible. Besides, releasing a version Wii just will have everybody compare it the other versions. However, I do think we'll see more RE after RE:UC has been released. RE4 Wii already proved there's an audience for it. It's already on track to meet and exceed their expectation (420 K worldwide). Hopefully Nintendo will help push RE:UC heavily along with the Zapper (and Sega's Ghost Squad as well). A remake of previous games with the RE4 engine and style of play would be awesome. I'd love it. Yet, how many remakes will they have us eat? The original game has been remade so many times. Ignoring the ports, these were the main versions: PS, Cube, DS.
-
I want to play this same now! Along with RE:UC that should be a very nice one-two punch. Im getting both, cos lightgun style games are so much fun. Btw, that trailer didnt look half bad. In motion it looks a whole lot better than the screenshots.

What do you get for getting all star pieces? Apart from trading some badges. Are some really rare and handy badges you can get from the trading? Here's something i've been thinking over and over. What do you think is more important? HP, FP or BP? Im leveling each one about evenly now, but some times i want to level up the HP, but then im thinking, with more FP i'll be able to attack more, from which i think that BP needs leveling up as well, since there's quite a lot useful badges which i cant have equipped. i like the strategy behind it all.
