Yeah, I noticed the male trainer had a different hairstyle. I wasn't sure before, but then the female trainer showed up and yup, definitely changed. Nice little touches I havent been playing daily now, which is quite a shame. My routine basically goes from a few Balance games to warm, after that I do some Aerobics stuff, then I'll be doing some Muscle training. I think those are my favourites. Not fun, but they're challenging. The Boxing game gets a special training. It looked boring on the screenshots, but it definitely gets me sweating! Love it. The missus hasn't touched the game for quite some time now. Couldn't be motivated to do it. Maybe tomorrow

If they do a Wii version, I hope they dont follow the route like Dragon Quest: Swords. Not that that is a bad game, but I want a Castlevania title on Wii and DS that gets the production value of a AAA title.

Muscles. It must be you gaining loads and loads of muscles :P

Im impressed. Looks good so far. The video on Jeux France looks a whole lot better than the screenshots, which weren't too shabby to begin with. PS2/Wii mentioning does bother me too, but then again, if they put effort in it and it looks good, but most of all, it plays good, then Im fine with it. It really does make me think of RE4, so Im keeping an eye on it.

I too expected it to go from 20-80, but seeing how they include children in their official E3 trailers, they expect kids to be part of the users. So maybe it'll go as low as 10? It's pretty spot-on for me. Day 1, 28 years. Day 2, 25 years. Im 27. My girlfriend (26) started at 45 and went to 40. Haha!

I wasn't planning on getting WiiFit for another month or so, but as the release came closer I got more and more excited. In the end, I bought it the day after its release. I expect a shortage and even a sell-out in Holland, to my surprise, it was everywhere. Either Nintendo did a good job supplying every major retailer or the Dutch are less excited about it then u UK'ers. Anyway, been enjoying this tremendously with the missus. This is hands down the best game to play together. Even she got excited and now hooked. Not WiiSports could do it. Im loving the balance games and aerobics one best. Soccer heading is amazingly fun, Ski jump is highly enjoyable and Skiing has lots of potential. I love the jogging part. Running past all the Miis, viewing the scenery. Awesome! im feeling some aches all over the body, so the muscle and yoga workouts sure are doing their thing WiiFit is perfect for my lifestyle. I've tried the gym before, but cant be motivated enough to keep doing it. Also, I dont have enough time to do that. WiiFit makes it fun and addicting. It may not be a complete substitute, but it's definitely better than nothing. That's some 90 euro nicely spent. I'll be picking up Family Ski as well when it releases soon.

I've just started this game recently. Yesterday I beat no.9, so I've still got a long way to go. This game is really awesome, I like the style, the gameplay, the music, the dialogue. It's a real shame that Grasshopper lack either the skill, time or people to really polish this title. The premise is very very good, but stuff like framerate and the overworld gameplay leave a lot to be desired. Should Suda ever consider a sequel, I'd like him to take the time it needs to make it a true gem. Hopefully this game has sold well enough for him... which i doubt...

This came out of nowhere. Props for High Voltage to even try and put the effort in it. It's not perfect by any means, but it certainly looks good. The theme isnt very original, but if they aim for a triple A game and manages to come close to it, I'm in. I think it's time for some more diversity in the Wii lineup. Somebody, pick this game up!

That sounds plausible. A Wii + WiiFit bundle would be a smart thing to do for Nintendo, since the current WiiFit price is quite steep. Unless they market it right, which i think they will, and make sure everyone and the ladies in particular, get the message that WiiFit will do your body, shape or weight a lot of good. As for Wii + WiiSports selling for € 149 euro? No way that's gonna happen. It's been in high demand since it launched. It's still selling out everywhere. Dropping the price would be foolish. Something to counter 360+GTA4/PS3+GTA4? Perhaps. But I think the Mario Kart + WiiFit combo is more than enough get the attention. Plus, they're not really competing for the same gaming money IMO.

Im expecting (or rather, hoping) Disaster: DoC is present. Either playable or in video form. The game is getting a release in 2-3 months in Japan. It gotta be almost finished by now. Dont tell me they dont have anything to show us! (Unless they have no intentions to release it here at all...) I think they'll have a larger focus on DS, along with WiiWare, WiiFit and Mario Kart. E3 will be the time they'll show us the big Wii titles. They can use this opportunity to show us some new love towards DS. It's been rather quiet for DS post-Zelda, hasnt it?

Wow, I'm underwhelmed. I seriously hope we get some real third party gems. So far, I'm happy with Sega's and Capcom's efforts. Konami's Pro Evo 2008 is a good start. We'll have to see what E3 or the many Media Summit/Gamer's Day from various publishers brings us. I'd like to look forward to other games besides Nintendo's too.

I've played this game for the first time this weekend. I was quite excited to see how it played and controlled. I knew I was in for a tough learning curve. You really have to switch off the button between your ears of how to control the players on the field. It's quite different how to pass, walk and play overall. Having spent a few matches with a friend, I can say I really see the potential this system has. If you get the hang of it, the attacking game becomes a work of art. It's really beautiful. So far, I have to think to often and too long, messing everything up. Defending really is this game's weak point. I feel out of control when defending. I just keep in clicking and pointing, hoping one of the players goes towards the attacking player. I'm really thinking of purchasing this title and sink my teeth into it. Learn it. Enjoy it.

I just ordered this game. Cant wait to play it! Do you have the same options as in Ghost Squad to calibrate your reticule or even switch it off? Im planning on getting the Nyko Perfect Shot later on. Should make the arcade feel complete.

Hm, I keep hearing people say the game is f*cking hard. Is it really that hard? I mean, I've been hearing people say that about every FE game that's been released since FE6 on GBA. Yes, the games are hard, if you rush out to the front without planning. Yes, then it's hard. But hard as in... not playable? Hm... I think it's part of the gameplay. There are some battles that take several efforts to complete without somebody dieing. It's really frustrating, yet it's so enjoyable when you manage to get to the end. I'm ready to get my ass kicked come in a few week's time

As much as I'd love to see a defining Wii FPS to show up that has everyone crave and talk about it, even PS3/360 only gamers, I just don't see that happening. The controls may be more suitable than the dual-analog setup, but console core audience has embraced that already. They're not gonna switch that easily. Plus, in order to have them notice a Wii FPS game, it takes some real horsepower to show off some amazing graphics. That's something the Wii can never do. We may see a few, yet fine efforts down the line. Most likely candidate is a Retro Studios title using their MP3 experience and the MP3 engine to build something new. Will Nintendo allow that? Or, it's Ubisoft's Red Steel 2. The first game wasn't as bad as it was made it to be. It was way too hyped and disappointed many. I found it buggy, unfinished, flawed, yet very enjoyable and had tons of potential. I think Ubisoft is taking the time it needs to make this game the game it was supposed to be, hence we haven't seen or heard much about it yet.

After having waited a full year since the release of the Japanese version, this game is FINALLY available over here. Yet, I don't have the time and money to play this little gem. I just ordered No More Heroes, so Fire Emblem will have to wait a little longer... Have... to... suppress... the... desire... to play... Fire... Emblem...

I've played with the Wii Zapper for a while. It's a fun little thing, but Im not really missing it. It's more like a machine gun, which you hold right at the height of your chest. I'd rather have that arcade style feel and aim with my eyes behind the gun. That's why im looking forward to the Nyko Perfect Shot. The Nunchuk in the Zapper design isnt very comfy IMO, so i'd rather not get that bundle. Gimme Ghost Squad for 30 euros (never gonna happen, unless it's in the discount bin), with or without the gun. I'll use something else anyway. Btw, isn't it frustrating to see the supposedly 'budget' titles still sell for 35 ~ 40 euro? It's crazy! Crazy i tell you!

Umbrella Chronicles ships one million units worldwide!
IMJ replied to Tito's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I too had a lot of fun with RE4:Wii. They managed to make the perfect GC game even better. The controls did a lot to add even more to the game. Seeing how well both RE games have done, it really wasn't a surprise another RE title would show up. It's just a little sad that they chose to bring RE0 to us (well, Japanese gamers for now...). In a way, I can see why. RE0 was released after REmake and by the time it was released, a lot of hype had died down. Only the die hard fans picked it up. The game was actually very likable, I managed to complete it, while I couldnt do that with RE1. Will the new version sell as well as the other two? So far, RE4 has sold around 130K and RE:UC did around 250K in Japan, according to VG Chartz (take it with a grain of salt). Personally, I doubt it'll cross the 100K. I just wish Capcom would pour real effort next time and deliver either an RE2 remake, RE4 spin-off or RE5 side-story. I think we can all agree that we want another RE4-style game using an enhanced engine. We should make our voices heard to Capcom, it worked for Okami... -
I was put off by the gun bundle as well. Strange Cookie, do you happen to live in The Netherlands or Belgium? Cos I've seen only the bundled version selling for 60 euros. It's crazy. I so wanna have this game, but no way I'm paying that much, especially when you consider it's selling for much much less in the US. I can buy the stand-alone version on Play.com for 25 pounds, incl. shipping, but I want to have a Nyko Perfect Shot as well. Adding everything up and it's more or less the same price... Maybe I'll have to wait and get HotD first...

Wii Freeloader Thread - FAQ & Info in First Post
IMJ replied to DiemetriX's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Great news! Although I'm still a bit skeptical, I mean, the Freeloader I got for GC stopped working for the later games and since the Wii is updatable, it'll be even easier to stop the disc from working. I wonder if they have a solution for this. Maybe you can download an update on SD card to counter that problem? Anyway, good news then. I'd really love to import some games from the US, their games are just damn cheap compared to ours! Haha! -
Indeed, fairly interested. Quite obvious it was inspired by the success of GHIII and Rock Band, but yeah, seems like a decent effort. If the controls are cool and immersive, I'd love to give this a try. GHIII is still a bit too much for me. I'm interested in the drums actually Between this and Band Mashup from THQ, I'd say this has my preference for now.

Kinda like the original games. Unless you pop a headshot, you'd need a ton of ammo just to get rid of them. RE:UC sure is not House of the Dead.
-
Hm.. How... surprising. Didn't see this one coming. So many questions, yet so little answers. Is this a direct port of RE0 with some Wii-controls tagged on? Are those screenshots from the GC-game or actual Wii screens? If true, then it means they took the original game and re-using every asset there is. If not, could there be a chance of seeing a complete overhaul in RE4-style gameplay? That means, keeping the basic storyline, but rebuilding everything into 3D? The fact they're releasing RE0:Wii edition, does that mean they'll go all the way up to other games in the serie? Remaking RE1 AGAIN, then RE2, RE3 and finally RE:CVX? I applaud the latter three, since I haven't played thoses games, yet I also would like some proper games. New and original ones. Even RE:UC had some re-used assets in it. I just hope there's more and better stuff coming from Capcom.

Shame on that. I only managed to get complete it with a 94% score @ around 26 hours. I already missed two entries in the Creatures log, which I will not encounter anymore. I'm missing a few Missile and Power Bomb expansions as well. There's always GameFaqs which will help me find everything, but no way I can remember which ones I've found and which I don't. So.. I'll let me be and focus MP2 :P

I beat the game the other day. I think it was my 4th try in total. The one thing that didn't work for me before was seeing the boss. I thought you could use either the X-ray or Thermal visors to see it, which of course, isn't completely true. When I found out you had to cycle between the Combat, X-ray and Thermal Visors, the boss was pretty peanuts. Blasting away those metroids gets u small health replenishes, so in the end, I beat the boss with about the same amount of health left when I started. So yeah, pretty happy that I finally beat the game I first started since release day (2003??) OMG, it took me 5 years to beat it? :P Now I can focus on MP2 again
