You won’t really see the ramifications of the shoddy state of this release on launch weekend (obviously launch day buyers who pre-ordered wouldn’t have been aware of how unfinished the game actually was, before they bought it). You’ll only really see it manifest with future releases and S/V’s sales legs/WOM down the line…

Finally! Some proper gameplay footage! And it looks… pretty superb The Emblem Rings system looks like a neat twist on the Pair-Up mechanic and the previous equipable skills of past games. Lots of strategic options and unique combinations, I like the look of it! (Celica looks busted with her essentially granting you Warp lol; and as @Glen-i can attest to, it’s only fitting that Celica grants Warp, considering how utterly broken it is in Shadows of Valentia ). I like the focus on terrain effects that they’ve got going here. Something quite different for the series, and something that the series hasn’t really explored too much before Everything I’ve seen so far about this game looks great! And the release is very well timed too, since I’m just coming to the end of my playthrough of Shadows of Valentia (write-up to come in the Gaming Diary thread, but short spoilers? It’s awesome!) Really looking forward to FE Engage now

I think the most shocking thing is how much of a technical downgrade S/V is from PL: Arceus. That game runs like a dream in comparison to S/V! But yeah, every complaint made in the DF video is spot ok. This is the roughest and most unpolished/unfinished game that Nintendo or TPC have ever published (and that includes BDSP).

FUCK YEAH!!! TGM!! First time that any TGM arcade game has ever gotten a home release! You guys are not ready…

Oh wow! They made Boo Lake into an underwater track! Hell of a glow up!

Here's a fun bug you might want to try out for yourself! Wonder how many controllers you can stack this with... Either way, speedrunners gonna LOVE this!

N-E Online Mario Parties (Week 27 - Waluigi's Island - MP3)
Dcubed replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not even going to lie, my behaviour was utterly woeful. There was no need for me to purposely throw Running of the Bulb... twice. Nah, who am I kidding, it was totally justified Anyway! Here's some lowlights highlights for your amusement... That was great fun. I love how ridiculously unfair Mario Party 1 can be. An appropriate summary of this week -
Yeah, this game is fucking raw. It clearly needed more time in the oven. Something really needs to give. TPC have to reneg on their annual schedule and give Game Freak more time to work on each new game; because this is just not acceptable. And this isn't the first time this has happened now... BDSP (granted, different developer; but still) was a complete trashfire on launch day; a game that came out without a fucking title screen in place! And now the ridiculous schedule is impacting on the mainline series proper in a truly obvious way. I don't care if the anime has to be pushed back a year or two as a result, the quality just isn't there; and they can't afford to have this dragging down the mainline series (which is the core product that the entire brand is built around). TPC NEED to give up on the annual schedule.

Thanks guys. Things have been very challenging these past months, but we're making progress; slowly but surely. Hopefully she'll be able to get on well with Pokemon S/V, she's been really looking forward to it

He took his Boom Street gameplay a bit too seriously...

That being said... There was one moment that actually did go my way...

Fun night tonight, with some fun clips to match! Ridiculous luck tonight for me

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

Wave Race 64 is the best arcade game to never come out as an arcade cabinet. The difficulty curve is just pitch perfect, the course design is absolutely S-tier, and the controls are just utterly sublime! Superb game that absolutely stands the test of time! BTW, congrats on beating Reverse; that difficulty is no joke! (It’s so hard that it’s actually impossible for the CPU to legitimately qualify, even if it beats you by the final race ). -

Hell yeah! Let’s do this! (Might be worth making a dedicated thread to drum up some interest; I’m at work today, so I can’t do it right now…) -

You can't button remap the N64 games. They require two Joycons. -

All N64 games on Switch require two Joycons. No exceptions. -
Guess what 10 year old game is suddenly getting a DLC expansion out of nowhere!

It happens at the start of the turn. There’s a really cool Youtube series that talks about how the mechanics of the various Mario Parties work (that’s how I learnt about it). Here’s the first episode… Shockingly enough, there is actually no way to manipulate the game’s RNG in any way! Its actually remained watertight even after all these years! Defo. Only fitting that we came full circle with Pilotwings Resort in the end -

You mean Mario Party Superstars; not Super Mario Party. And yes, that warning is freaking hilarious Can't wait to get some 4 player games going! -
Well... that's a price... And that's on top of a £449.99 £479.99 price for the console that you need to use the VR headset in the first place...

All-new PlayStation Plus: Premium / Deluxe | Extra | Essential
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
https://www.polygon.com/23434321/playstation-plus-subscribers-down-2022-earnings Well deserved. The way that they treated Premium subscribers with the PS1/PS2/PSP catalogue is a joke.
