Not sure, but I think they're just looking to cheap out on QA testing... Unlike most GBA games which came as Multi5 (all 5 languages on one cart), Golden Sun had all 5 languages released on seperate carts originally (presumably due to space limitations). I reckon they probably didn't want to have to pay for the work to get 5 different versions of the game QA tested, when they could just be cheap and re-use the US version everywhere... It's scummy, but sadly sensible if they're looking to save some money
-
Yeah that's a big ? for me too... We got the US version of Golden Sun rather than the EU one (Which is NOT a good thing BTW, since it means that the rest of Europe don't get FIGS language support, which is shameful ) I don't really want to see that happen again, but I must admit that I would like to try the US version with its various bug fixes, subtle alterations and typo fixes... Same goes for Super Mario Advance 4 (I would want the eReader exclusive levels) and Tales of Phantasia (The US version was colour corrected to match the original SNES version, while the EU version wasn't). On the flipside, the EU version of Final Fantasy 4 Advance is much improved over the US version. So rightfully you'd hope that the US would get that version instead of the original one that they got...

What happens if you have the outlines turned off though? I wonder...

Are we doing an E3 bingo card thread this year? I LOVE doing E3 bingo cards!

Well if we're trying to get as far away from Fairy Boy Link as possible, we might as go as far as we ca... ...ok maybe that's a bit too far :P

No it's not canon, none of the mangas are. It's the same as all the other Zelda mangas, just made especially for Hyrule Historia in this case and included as a bonus. Anyway, Link has often had a fairly feminine look about him before. Soul Calibur 2 is one particular example that springs to mind... Didn't stop him being awesome in that game though. Embrace girly Link and be merry

It's the same thing that they mentioned when NNIDs came to the 3DS (they're just coming into force now). IIRC, the only thing of note in there is the fact that you can't change your NNID's country of origin and that if you move to a different country, then you need to create a new NNID if you want it to reflect your new country of residence... But that's exactly how it is at the moment anyway, so no real change in practice on the user's end

It is indeed a Dolphin shot (I was just looking for a good idle shot online of Kirby from that game... Ah well, maybe when we finally get Wii games on the VC...) Yes it did, and it was hilarious (I think you actually watched it with me. I remember us cracking up at that bit - especially when Charizard X battered Mewtwo with ease and Red caught Mewtwo on his first attempt with a crappy Pokeball. No way would that EVER happen in the actual game )
-
Well Pokemon Rumble was slightly fun when you threw 4 player co-op into the mix... We'll see... Although if Tingle, Groose and Linebeck did end up being playable, then I don't think I could possibly say no

I especially like it with Kirby this time around. It makes his SSB representation look closer to the actual Kirby games

Hey hey, come on now. You seriously dissing MKDS' battle mode!? 8 PLAYER BLOCK FORT BITCHES!!! Not to mention the cool balloon blowing up system too and the awesome stages like Twilight House and Palm Shore! Not to mention Bobomb Blast in MKDD, which was (quite literally) a blast! It was MK Wii that destroyed the battle mode (and MK7's one, while fixing some of the things they did wrong in MKWii, was still mediocre), not MKDD and MKDS...
-
Now I do like the sound of that. Maybe, just maybe it'll have a little more depth than your typical DW game... I like the suggestion that bombs might end up being used for more than just basic combat too... Also nice to see another game that uses the Gamepad in place of 2 player splitscreen. Love it when games do that (I'm looking at YOU Mario Kart 8...)

Bit of a weird way to do a demo... (though I suppose that in of itself is befitting of this game :p) I get that they're trying to encourage viral messaging here through this referral system, but I don't get why they don't just put it up for everyone AND include these download codes (maybe make the panda costume exclusive to this referral version?)

It doesn't matter what other colours of Greninja get unveiled, there's only one colour that we're ever going to want to use... YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!
-
Well done mate! Stonking value you got in the end! (Especially since you also get another free game thanks to the MK8 promo!) Welcome to the Wii U club : peace: You've got some severe catching up to do
-
Funny you should say that... considering that you can't breed a Nidoking and a Nidoqueen together in Pokemon, but you can breed a Nidoking and a Ditto together... Just saying
-
3D Zelda games do that with certain enemies (most obvious example I can think of is the Stalfos in Ocarina of Time), but that's out of necessity as it would be enormously frustrating if they ganged up on you at once - they talk about this in the Ocarina of Time 3D Iwata Asks Not all enemies will wait their turn, but typically the larger or more complex ones will. The Moblins in Wind Waker will gang up on you for instance, while the Darknuts will always attack in turn.

If you really want to rile him up, mention how much you adore the look of Pokemon Rumble U

Codename: S.T.E.A.M. - Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace
Dcubed replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, the name definately gives me vibes of EDF and old school Contra... I hope that my instincts are right on this one... DROWN ME IN CORNY CHEEZY GOODNESS NINTENDO!!! -
You'll also be interested in the fact that you were wrong... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=822247 Both sports will be bundled together for ¥1000. So YES! Owners of the existing sports WILL be getting a discount on the remaining sports; so nerr! :p

Is that a first? Pretty sure that all the previous DW games were made by Omega Force on their own weren't they? Now I DO like the sound of this Playable Linebeck (who wins fights by cowering away until Jolene kills everyone) confirmed!

All signs point to an E3 unveil then -
Pretty sure I remember ROB being unannounced before the game was released... (Or I at least remember being shocked when I saw him in the game out of seemingly nowhere - and I imported the US version when it came out, so I definately wouldn't have gotten spoilt about him before I played it...)
-
Well that was only because of the EU delay. With the US and JPN releases they didn't unveil anything that was actually unlockable, which was really cool, but after the game released in US & Japan they started getting into the unlockable stuff in the run-up to the EU release. Makes me wonder how they're gonna handle the run up to the Wii U version's release given that we'll know the full character roster before the Wii U version gets released...
-
Agreed. That was just unnecessarily cruel...
