  1. An accurate summary of this Direct... This game does seem to have literally everything you could ever ask for!
  2. There’s ya Evo announcement!
  3. Man I really want a Super NT... Can’t get one just yet though sadly...
  4. Worst thing about these modern 4K TVs? Almost all of them are now getting rid of analog inputs entierly! My 4K Samsung KS8000 has 4 HDMI inputs only, no analog inputs whatsoever! So unless you are using something like an OSCC or Framemeister? Or using expensive hardware mods? Or using an el-cheapo, shonky HDMI adapter that butchers the image quality? It's impossible to hook up any pre Gen 7 console to a modern 4K TV at all!
  5. Came into this thread for the Bioshock demo, was not disappointed. That demo immediately put the game on my radar! Probably the single most effective demo, in-terms of making me interested in buying a game, that I can possibly think of really! I do love demos that do interesting things too, like give a prologue back-story before the main game (ALA The Stanley Parable). It's a shame that demos are generally very rare these days. I suppose with most big games being F2P (or F2P games in disguise as normal retail games) though, there isn't really much of a place for them anymore...
  6. It's a shame that he fails to mention how Zero Mission doesn't actually show you how to get to the chozo statue waypoint, that's a pretty important point here. While the game does give you a general idea of where to go, it gives you no clue on HOW to get there. It's up to you to figure out exactly how to get there and that's where the sense of exploration and discovery comes into play in that game. Hell, even Super Metroid does this by telling you exactly where the boss is when you get the map. You know exactly where you need to get to, but the game doesn't show you HOW to get to the boss; it's up to you to figure it out.
  7. I’ve been putting the points towards all of my Switch eShop purchases. No reason not to really when there’s nothing else to spend them on!
  8. Sadly I’ve finally spent them all, so I’m never getting that title back... Damn you Nintendo for finally giving me something to spend my damn coins on!
  9. Awesome! The Max Control cheat looks particularly interesting...
  10. Crazy to think that Switch has almost caught up with the 3DS’ total number of games already! (It’s already shot past 900!) 3DS really did get shockingly poor 3rd party support considering how well it sold! (Including indie game devs!)
  11. This is cool! Someone just uploaded a digitised version of an old promo VHS for the SNES/Super Mario All Stars released in the UK in 1993! Has some neat SNES Dev footage, 90’s tude and Craig Charles as host! Think I actually still have this old tape myself kicking around somewhere, but here it is in easy to digest YouTube form for all of you old farts who remember what a VHS is!
  12. The Wii U version of BOTW has some horrendous slowdown. Hyrule Castle runs at like 15-20FPS at all times and FPS drops to the teens are pretty common. They clearly gave up on it when they decided to make it a multiplatform release (hilariously, it doesn’t even support the touch screen for text input when playing Off TV; so you get the standard system keyboard pop up on the Gamepad screen whenever you need to input text but it doesn’t work properly!). I have both the Wii U and the Switch version and the latter just runs so much better.
  13. Next wave of ACA NeoGeo games is as follows...
  14. I'm sure it will be, this IS M2 we're talking about here. I doubt that they'd neglect a simple and basic thing like that.
  15. New features unveiled! https://gematsu.com/2018/07/sega-ages-sonic-the-hedgehog-and-thunder-force-iv-launch-in-august Sonic The Hedgehog Thunder Force IV Great to see that the rumours were true and that they're adding the Drop Dash move from Sonic Mania into Sonic 1! That'll be loads of fun to mess around with!
  16. We also got TFBW late and at full price, with no DLC included either. As much as I would like to play it and SOT on Switch, no way am I buying them both again at full price (especially if they don't come with DLC).
  17. Got it last night! And not a moment too soon either, I only have 1GB left on my 200GB card!
  18. https://ubistatic19-a.akamaihd.net/comsite_common/en-US/images/37ubisoft fy19 q1 sales eng final _tcm99-331024_tcm99-196733-32.pdf South Park: Stick of Truth is coming to Switch as an eShop exclusive; some time before October.
  19. Lumines isn't really amongst my favourite puzzle game series, but it is a good time; and at the price? Really, you can't argue with picking it up!
  20. I'm still catching up on them myself, but I highly recommend the MM3D and Super Monkey Ball runs!
  21. IO's response is pretty damning... Very disappointing to hear how dismissive the ESA is about the whole thing as well... Sadly it's just one of those things that is so deeply embedded in game development culture that I don't think it's ever gonna really get any better...
  22. I didn't even know that Nintendo did a reprint of B&W 2 after the WFC shutdown! That's really interesting to see just how recently they were printing DS games still!
  23. Yeah, this demo is gold. The full game is gonna be awesome! I wasn't expecting them to make new touch and twist games too! I thought that the new ones would be buttons only, glad to see that's not the case! I also noticed (in the demo outro) that it also includes microgames from Smooth Moves and the Gamer mode from Game & Wario! Nice!
  24. I bet they had a game that was cancelled. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was that Star Fox Grand Prix game.
  25. Runbow is out now on Switch and based on a quick go, it seems to be an excellent port! An absolute must buy for anyone looking for a great party game! One of the Wii U’s absolute best now on Switch!
