Can only speak for the iOS version, but Airplay casting is supported. The interface looks very similar to Youtube Music, so I'd imagine that most of its features will also be found in the Android version of the app.

What the hell took them so long!? People have been begging for something like this for over a decade at this point! Seems like a very well thought out app, and a great subscription incentive for NSO; can imagine quite a few people subbing for Nintendo Music alone Granted, I have pretty much all of the music from all of Nintendo's published games anyway, but I could still easily see myself using this app. The spoiler and looping features are very much appreciated Edit: The music selection isn't huge so far, but I noticed that they do specifically have the FDS version of the Metroid soundtrack (which is notable for being different from the NES version); that's pretty cool. Can see this becoming a pretty sick app over time as the library gets filled out! Edit 2: Wow! Even individual tracks get their own unique screenshot images! They've put a TON of effort into this app! Edit 3: Oh nice! They have the original DS Tomodachi Collection soundtrack as well, so they're not shy about putting on soundtracks from Japanese exclusive games it seems! I'm very impressed with the app itself so far. Can easily see it becoming a daily driver. Only thing that kind of irks me though is that it doesn't list the individual composers who actually worked on each soundtrack/song; which is a bit of a shame. But overall? Very slick! Well done Nintendo! Now, let's get that library filled out!

I'd love to see M2 attempt a redo of this one. They did some stellar work on Adventure Rebirth and Haunted Castle Revisited, but I get that 3D (or anything beyond the 16 bit era for that matter) isn't really within their wheelhouse... -
It's crazy isn't it? Literally everyone knew it was going to be a massive bomb from the moment it was announced, literally everyone straight up told Sony online that it was going to be a massive bomb. It boggles my mind how utterly out of touch the Playstation execs were on this one. Surely someone at the top of Sony must've seen this coming? Even your average joe schmoe mouthbreathing online idiot has more sense than the top brass responsible for this mess. It was an out of control train that had long gone off the rails and was heading straight for a brick wall with puppies attached to it. Outrageous that it was ever allowed to reach completion.

The Great Developer Massacre of 2023-2024 (and onwards?)

https://sonyinteractive.com/en/news/blog/an-update-from-playstation-studios/ The expected outcome of Concord's failure. Edit: Looks like Kotaku has a source that states the project cost more than $200 million before marketing costs and not including the studio acquisition cost... (The total cost is probably pretty close to that $400 million number that was rumoured before then). That's alotta money that they just flushed down the toilet! Surely one of the biggest commercial bombs in video game history? Well... perhaps until Marathon bombs and Bungie probably gets shut down... -
Xenoblade Chronicles X - Definitive edition (March '25)

So... now that Nintendo is back on the Wii U port gravy train, might we see them finally bring out some of their last remaining WiI U ports still sitting in their vaults? I bet they finished ports of Paper Mario Colour Splash, Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD and Kirby & The Rainbow Curse years ago and they're just sitting on them for a rainy day to fill in their schedule gaps before Switch 2 comes out... Of course, if they were actually cool, they would have a port of Nintendo Land and Star Fox Zero that requires two Switches ready to go... I mean, they've already sold near enough 150 million of the bloody things, most of us have multiple Switch consoles by this point anyway. -
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Tooie is not bloated, but it is a demanding and complicated game compared to its predecessor. I'd say it's inherently less replayable, because it's a much bigger and more complex game than Banjo Kazooie that demands much more intense exploration and mental mapping of each environment (with worlds that even interconnect!). But that complexity is also inherently rewarding. You have to put more into Tooie, but you get that much more out of it. -
The long overdue Wii U port arrives on March 20th 2025.

Yo!!! It's out today! Wonder how long it'll take before someone extracts the ROM for play on real SNES hardware...

Ha ha! Love the Grindhouse style, NOA have been really cooking with their N64/GBA NSO trailers -
BTW. Just wanted to point out that we now literally have Mario In Unreal Engine. Not quite what most expected from the old meme, but that’s what happens when Nintendo hires that man!

Second Attack desperately needs a NSO release. It’s SO expensive on the second hand market! The fact that the Wii & Wii U VC got Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero, but not Second Attack is maddening! -
Got this in my email inbox a couple of hours ago (I was one of the backers for YL’s original Kickstarter way back in 2014)… Don’t ask me why they’re still offering backer updates for a 10 year old Kickstarter campaign. Yeah, they’re definitely hinting at Switch 2.

... you certainly weren't kidding! It definitely earned its 18 rating, that's for sure! I'll have to leave more detailed thoughts later on, as time is not on my side right now, but I can certainly see why Sakamoto said that the ending would be divisive! To be honest though, I have an issue to raise that isn't so much related to the content of the ending itself, but moreso about the overall game structure... Still, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game! The ending certainly was worth the ride! BTW, minor little thing but...
-
Ok Sakamoto, well played. I didn't call it after all. An excellent set of final twists at the end! Throughly enjoyable! Now, let's see what the post-game sequence holds...
-
Thoroughly enjoying it so far. It's certainly a more grounded affair than the likes of the Ace Attorney series, very much in-line with the previous FDC titles. The story has some interesting twists and turns, but it feels like we're still far off the ending and finding out who Emio is; despite me having a pretty good idea about who the culprit might be... ... wait, what? ... well that flashed up all of a sudden out of nowhere! Alright! Let's see where this rabbit hole takes us...

Game has leaked, some people have seen the full credits list... Looks like my suspicions were correct, and Nintendo elected to employ a bunch of the Alphadream staff directly when the company collapsed... just like what they did with Flagship's staff when that studio was shut down in the mid-2000s. Hideki Sakamoto is also an interesting choice of composer... still very strange that Shimomura didn't come back for Brothership though. Oh I'm so glad that Chihiro Fujioka joined Nintendo! That's so awesome!! I remember this interview came out shortly after Alphadream was shut down and was hoping that he'd go ahead and join Nintendo proper... After the SMRPG Remake came out? I had a feeling that he had gone ahead and joined them Alphadream lives on!

I reckon that they'll probably wait until next year at this point. No real benefit in announcing during the Xmas period. If it's coming out in July 2025? (The earliest that it could possibly release at this point), then we'll hear something in January. If it's coming out in November 2025? (More likely), they're gonna wait until either April 2024 (start of the new financial year), or they're gonna wait all the way until not-E3 season, in June 2025.

Hopefully the dev team figure out that Ubisoft is a sinking ship and get out of there before it's too late... If Davide Soliani and his staff at Ubisoft Milan can escape, hopefully these guys can too!
-
Well whaddaya know? It's making it out this year after all! November 5th in fact Music is spot on as well. Tee Lopes don't miss
-
Sakurai just announced that he began working on a new game in April 2022... So we could be looking at it being a launch window title for Switch 2!
-
The final Sakurai on Creating Games video is now up! Edit: Sakurai confirmed that he started working on a new game in April 2022! That's insane that he was working on both the channel and his new game at the same time for two whole years!

Ahh yes, another one of the fake NBA Jam games; not made by any of the people who made the original series, before Acclaim stole the series name and trademark from Midway in 1996. This is essentially the 90s equivilent of the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons debacle in the early 2010s, with NBA Showtime being the real NBA Jam. -
Oh wait, I’m dumb. I didn’t even notice that it doesn’t start until the 24th…
