  1. @Daft. Added you, let the AC communication begin, soonish,...
  2. Talking about capturing, I managed to capture my first Azruros this morning. Got him with a shock trap and Tranq bombs/pellets. Plus brought down a few more Great Jaggi's to add to my collection. Need to take down a hell of a lot of them to get all the armour though, and they don't drop claws that often. Might try to cap one to see if that'll give me something different. Edit: forgot to say, got Shakalaka working alongside me now as well. That feels like a milestone to be proud of.
  3. Yay, I was right; Here's a full breakdown, taken from the Nintendo UK official website of the trial offers coming up http://www.nintendo.co.uk/News/2013/January/Grab-a-classic-NES-game-on-Wii-U-Virtual-Console-for-a-very-special-price--715660.html
  4. I believe it's the SNES classic, Super Metroid. Please correct if I'm wrong.
  5. Haven't read the point of this discussion, but I teach 1st graders all the way up to Uni. students. The younger kids have no idea what games are except for Smart phone games. Temple Run, Subway and some single player MMO-type game are their favourites (2 years ago it was Angry Birds). I pick them up and quickly come to the conclusion that Temple Run is the biggest pile of shit I've ever played, but as my students point out, it's free and that's all that counts. Their parents will not buy them a dedicated gaming console when their cellphone plays 'GAMES'. I feel sorry for the little bastards, never having played, or likely to play, a game with any complexity of depth like the old NES classics of my youth. I think this might be mistaken nostalgia on my part, but when I fire those games up again, no I'm right Mario Bros. is substantially better in every department than that f***ing Temple Run.
  6. Don't know if your about now, but I'm available in 10 minutes time. Need to pour a beer, and settle down.
  7. At the very top top left of the touch screen is a sun icon, that's for screen brightness. To the direct right of that is the square and 4 square buttons, those change your icon count on the touch screen. I recently found out that these work in the sub-folders as well.
  8. Well Cartman's hat is represented on the top Wii U logo of every game box.
  9. I'll give it try, too. I want to see if my internet connection can withstand it. I played a few Luigi's Mansion 2 games with Fused and Kaebora Gaebora and got quite a bit of lag, but still up for it to see what happens. And I also only worked out how to get online 2 days ago. Had the same problem, teaching an advanced class of students tonight. We talk a lot about movies and games together, so this was a main topic of conversation, and I've invited the class around to my place to show them it in operation
  10. Must be some sort of registration trademark from a Japanese vehicle manufacturer ..my coat, leave...
  11. I certainly did sir. If you like puzzle games, then this is a must. I've only played through the first 10 levels, the 4 mini-games once each, and opened the 2nd single-player mode, but it sure holds a lot of content to unlock. And my son loves the mini-shooting games, especially the block 'rubick's cube' burst thing. My top tip, the Mini only starts to move after you put the tile into the first position next to warp pipe. If you place blocks anywhere else around the level then he will wait for you as he can't yet move. This way you can place some of the route down before he moves leaving less stress. But watch the clock.
  12. Yep, Retro's new project, forget a 3D Zelda game, here's a 3D Takamara game like Dark Souls or something.
  13. It does need public retraction. Then, it needs both companies during E3 to show us what's happening in the future between them. Whether that's sweet FA or something else due to NDA's, etc. The past is history, let's move on, and buy those great games coming to the WiiU this year. Even if EA did bring great games to the table, I wouldn't have the time or money to spend on them with Nintendo's, Eidos' and Ubisoft's offerings.
  14. Capcom confirmed ages ago that it does in fact include online. See here; http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/09/20/monster-hunter-4-has-online-multiplayer.aspx
  15. Spent about 9 hours on this beauty over the last 3 days, and finally found out where the online mode is (Network Mode, ahhh), finished all 1* quests in Moga village, and did the urgent. Got a shit load of stuff collected, and ran away from Lagiacrus. Awe inspiring stuff, just as I'd imagine. I am now HR1, LOL. Looking forward to taking on my first Great Jaggi and forging a better bow over the next few days.
  16. Not to mention X, Pikmin 3 again, Wonderful 101, Yoshi's Yarn, Wind Waker HD, etc. It's all good.
  17. I know, I just cancelled my 25 quid preorder, too busy with MH3 and FE now to bother playing this again without some substantial additions.
  18. IS the Wii U an interactive platform, let's hope Disney hold EA to that and all platforms are covered.
  19. Hi Troypx, if your looking for 3DS FC's it would be best to add yours to this forum topic found here; http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30062&page=18 BTW, added you, my FC is on the left <------
  20. Play it with a companion and it adds to the longevity, I've put in about 20 hours on it. The 3DS version however, because of the 1 player aspect, I played through once in under 3 hours and haven't picked it up again.
  21. A little while back, someone from this forum had a similar problem. What's your new SD card formatted as, most come as FAT32. If this is the case that may be the cause of your problem as Nintendo recommend you format your SD card to FAT 16. Copy all data from your current SD card to your PC, then format the new SD card to FAT 16, copy everything back, and see what happens. Worth a try.
  22. I love the sound of Earth Devastating B-rank Girlfriend.
  23. AFter just picking up Fire Emblem, I have to totally agree with @Ike. But, I'm in a bit of a pickle again. Two games down, Luigi's and FE, and definitely going to get DKCR. So, MH3U or Animal Crossing? If I didn't have MH3 on WiiU I would get that at a drop of the hat. Previous AC's didn't capture me, but am willing to give it go. Arghh, MH portable, or AC?
  24. It is a good time online. You do need to have at least one competent partner though, as with the time limits it can be too much to do all by yourself, and if your playing with a bunch of morons they'll hold you back. If your playing online in your region the connection is much more stable. You start at level 0, all your equipment is at the lowest power and by collecting money in the levels you can buy upgrades. You can other upgrades by pick-up's within the levels, some are cool like a pair of glasses that allow you to see hidden objects, etc. Give it a blast.
  25. @Jimbob Don't forget to post up your NNID, so some of us can join you on a hunt one day.
