I just read all 6 volumes. Brilliant stuff- Quite how the balance is maintained from the insane humour, the kung-fu antics and genuinely moving, poignant and deep character development must be some kind of voodoo science unto itself. It was amazing.

Halo is built to be replayed. That's all based on the A.I sandbox and the weapon set so Bungie don't need to resort to cheap parlour tricks and string puppets to make set pieces. They happen organically.
c'maana, don't bullshit me. It's aged really well! I played it not 2 weeks ago and it still kicks ass. Bit of a wrench, going backwards I suppose but it still holds up *amazingly* if you ask me. The Elites, particularly, are stunning.
Yeah the Barksdale gang are all amazing. I really think it works though that after they're busted up (partially) by the investigations unit, they're sent further back in the focus of the show while they lick their wounds.
It's the first part of a trend in the show to establish it as a portrait of Baltimore as a city whole, not just the conflict between the police and West Side drug dealers. Later seasons all have really different focuses
