  1. DRRRRRAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNAAAAAGE! saw it today. Fucking mind blowingly immense performance.
  2. for the record: Panic! at the disco should be locked in windowless cells and left to die alone.
  3. talk of Hot Chip? I saw them last night- they rocked the house so, so hard
  4. I'd only agree on the last one there. I think the lack of restarts is integral to the atmosphere of exploring and playing with the city.
  5. The Big Lebowski it's just...great
  6. that's true- it wasn't very scary. Definitely close enough to grab my attention, anyway.
  7. zing! see, that's what you're confused about.
  8. only as a means to an end. It's not like he'd let anyone live afterwards...
  9. So yeah, what with with this pesky writers strike business generally causing my tv viewing to go through a rougfh patch, i decided it was time for another series to enter the arena. It was at this point that I realised I still hadn't checked out Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicals . My initial reaction to hearing about the show was 'Oh sweet baby Jesus, it's going to be like fucking Smallville or some shit like that. I even thought it might be as bad as The Bionic Woman or Touch Cloth. so yeah. in brief: Anyway, I figured I may as well check it out, like. It's still a show about cyborg assassins, right? that's pretty much always worth watching, even if that's not always true. Colour me surprised, then, when it turned out to be immense. The pilot has it all: Terminators, car chases, explosions, low tech science fiction and basically the best elements of the movies. also:  this show is quality.
  10. "Smile you son of a..."
  11. I thought it was pretty much identical. They Fleshed it out with a bit of stuff from his wife and some homicide cop from West Baltimore but they pretty much nailed the book content.
  12. I think it's great. It captures Miller's original art work ridiculously well, and is feverishly in line with the idea of the events being legend as opposed to history. The super strength, hyper pace, immediacy of character traits etc- it's all a fantastic take on Myth in general.
  13. you might have seen Apocalypse Now, which is an adaptation, with a transition from the Imperial Belgian Congo territories to 'Nam.
  14. too short range for me. Smaller maps are likely to induce my choice of the SAW, mind. I don't think it's as good as the other lmg's but it looks win and sounds great.
  15. not myself, but I always played Chaotic Good in bioware games etc. It's, quite frankly, the only one that fits your quest to save mankind and the pressing need to rob people for cash.
  16. season 3 is the 2nd half of 2. it's just late :/
  17. Kurtz is from Heart of Darkness. He goes in to the Amazon and looses his humanity.
