  1. Heh, thought you'd like it. K-dog built a massive model / costume of SD to take to a US convention. Pretty immense stuff.
  2. Kirkman's son being fed to Super Dinosaur. Lol.
  3. The Pakistani intelligence services are notorious for 'sitting on the fence' - they're a government agency but they're known to have ties to, and to provide funding for, radical terror organisations. If the US had informed the Pakistani government, Bin Laden would have been tipped off. The whole country is a complete cluster fuck. One of our own making, I might add.
  4. Is Flashpoint going all Age of Apocalypse?
  5. All this talk of him as a mere figurehead seems premature. He was reportedly still very much involved in the terror plot stuff.
  6. well...yeah. Ok. Guess this is coming out then.
  7. Just caught up on Secret Avengers. It's really solid- even if super hero spies is a bit far fetched it's still pretty kick ass.
  8. People buy pc games?
  9. It's about as reasonable as everything else he's said so far, Moogle. I wouldn't put it past him.
  10. Really looking forward to this. I've been looking for a good online shooter for a while now and it looks brilliant. I just hope that there's a good community behind it. I don't want COD rambo kids in my team shooters!
  11. Yes, because I'm sure the White House considers 'giving the muslim world a martyr' (All of them, too!) part of a desired win win.
  12. Dude, you're so full of shit it's unbelievable. How many witness accounts, testimonies and records is it going to take? You're 'theory' is just you sticking your head in the sand and shouting 'NYAH NYAH NYAH NYAH!' like a toddler because you don't believe The Man. You have no evidence, no basis and no credible reasoning behind anything you've said in this thread yet you still describe the absolute mountain of evidence from the other side 'too convenient' or just evidence of a cover up. So, please. Unless you can provide anything to support your argument, or even a credible hypothesis as to why they'd have not announced his death before, shut up. You're talking complete horseshit.
  13. Fraction? Writing for trade? Holy shit!
  14. It's a really good film. The book is (wait for it...) better, but the adaptation does some great work too. Particularly in the way the donors are treated by surgeons and doctors. It's...very disturbing. Reminiscent of Nazi scientists and human testing, almost. And the broken, shitty toys they get sent as kids are just heartbreaking. On top of that, I thought Andrew Garfield was just terrific as Tommy and Mulligan was pitch perfect for Cathy. What annoyed me though was that they made the film so much more of a love triangle than the book ever was. I can see why they'd do it, but in the process they made Ruth's character so much less developed. In the book, you really understood why they were friends and the way she fantasises about all kinds of things is quite sad, more than anything. In the film she was just a love rival and she came across as a total bitch. It was a disappointing turn in an otherwise brilliant adaptation.
  15. Audio
  16. the BBC Wallander adaptations with Kenneth Branagh were really something else. Everyone should check them out.

    Portal 2

Oh man, it's awesome. Glados even rewards you for fucking each other over and 'teaching valuable lessons in trust'. Fantastic. In fact, co-op is way more fun that the solo game. I think Penny Arcade called it the real sequel, which is true I think.
  18. Re: being buried at sea. 1. Muslim practice dictates that a body is buried within 24 hours of death. The Marines were abiding by that. 2. What else would they have done? Give him to Saudi Arabia? (He was a Saudi) No. He'd have been given a state funded martyr's funeral, providing a focal point and powerful imagery to his followers.
  19. The SOS is definitely a bit of an odd one. On the one hand, it's really very powerful but it has it's fair share of disadvantages. That reload time alone is monstrous, and the range on the thing is basically a melee weapon. I've found that back-peddling with a retro and hip firing away usually downs anyone trying to dash in for a kill with one. It still feels cheap though when you go in with a gnasher, get the first hit in and then end up getting insta-gibbed. It definitely doesn't feel right, not like the other weapons. The Hammerburst and the Retro really feel at home, by comparison.
  20. There's definitely ways of doing the Skrull. For one thing, they could look less like this: ...And more like this :
  21. Ahh, so they're going all Serkis with him...interesting. That's pretty cool, actually.
  22. should clarify: he was offside when he went to score, too. Just pointing out that he was offside before that, too.
