  1. haha had to read that Spiderman one. THE FUCK? edit: Just sent my script sample to a guy who wants to start a small self publishing site. He really liked it. Aw yeah.
  2. I've seen the previews yeah. It's gonna be awwwwsum.
  3. Temple is an incredible album. I was ranting about it incessantly a while back. Sadly, Cornell is a bit shit these days and, without a great band to work with, I'm really not interested in what he's doing.
  4. totally agree with you. bleh.
  5. Not yet. We shall go this weekend. big screen! yes!

  6. Just come across this slice of internet madness: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330326168714 this is an absolutely gargantuan collection sell off. Most of it is tat but there's some really interesting gems in there- including several sit down Japanese arcade cabs etc. Worth looking, if only to blow your own mind because, at a rapidly climbing bit past £4,000, you won't be able to bid
  7. in the comics they throw up some really cool stuff. Logan served with Captain America in WW2, amongst other things.
  8. Man Neuromancer is the absolute tits. Jay, remind me to lend you my copy. Not read the sequels though. I read All Tomorrow's Parties which was really cool. edit: I'm reading The Writer's Journey by Christopher Vogler atm. Fascinating deconstruction of the mythic structure behind most modern stories. I dabbled in it during my creative writing classes last year but I'm going back to it now to really get in to it.
  9. aye but this isn't a movie tie in, is it?
  10. by anyone's. It wasn't to do with any kind of equality- it was based on the misogynistic belief that women were so inferior as to be basically incapable of forming an intellectual bond with a man- and therefore any kind of deeper relationship.
  11. Assassins Creed looked seamless too- you just didn't do much.
  12. but they ddin't really care if you did either. Bisexuality was, without being named as such, the kind of default. It wasn't some kind of hippy ass free love utopia though. It was pretty fucking weird...
  13. Really well animated. It could be too hands off though like AC was.
  14. Aye man. Aye. It's...utterly crushing. Fantastic though. These Green Lantern scans were clearly constructed by someone with mental issues. Not only have they scanned the adverts (WHY!?) but any two page splash art is taken out of it's place in the comic and dumped on to the end of the scan. Again, WHY!? The really dumb part is that I actually think this wrong way is harder work than the right way. Fucking idiots.
  15. Far Cry 2 is awesome. true story.
  16. It's always been great for that kind of thing. Obviously the major allegory has always been civil rights (particularly with Grant Morrison and Mark Millar recently) but as outsiders, they carry a whole bunch of metaphors. great stuff. *checks thread title* oh, yeah. Penis.
  17. you probably wouldn't. It's like a sub woofer farting.
  18. Burial is dub step yeah. He's notable, though, for sounding not like dub step. It's brilliant, really to clarify: He uses the same sounds and techniques as dub step, but he is way more ambitious than most in the genre and he has no place at Tuesday Club (club we frequent in Sheff, if you kids are confused). Try him out though he's boss.
  19. Yeah with you on that one. The whole reason the Xenomorph is a good creation it's it's singular purpose and lack of context or origin. It exists. That's it.
  20. Someone gave you that fiver to loosen your shirt, didn't they?
  21. Maybe. i talked to a guy at a faire today. I could be out there in a few months with no training doing teaching for colleges. It's fucking tempting seeing as my prospects here amount to about three choices: some down trodden shithole office, selling my organs or prostitution.
