West street used to be a red light district. There's alot of bad estate territory not so far away too so finding needles isn't that surprising.

I can't see Dark Avengers continuing. Maybe the team will somehow hold together in another guise but I can't see Norman making any clean getaway and the whole book revolves around his power status as Iron Patriot. There's definitely enough Avengers out there to justify two books though, assuming they all 'stay on' once the dust settles.

So I caught up with Mighty Avengers It's actually pretty good. It's not like New Avengers in that it's a bit more of a fantasy book, there's less stuff to do with Dark Reign going on and the lineup is certainly...weird. I like the characters though, and giving Hank Pym the leadership of the team was inspired. I'll be following the rest regularly I think. of course, the book may well end up coming to a close by February anyway... (and by that I mean siege is going to restructure the Avengers publishing family in the same way Avengers Disassembled, Civil War and Secret Invasion all did.)

that sucks dude lazy day today. Hangover from last night is mild, if a touch persistent. I think a cuppa is in order. last night was good, but it kind of reinforced some shitty cold reality on me. One of the girls on my course was out and despite wishing otherwise, it's clearly not going to happen with her, far as I can tell. Still- house party tonight. sexy poshos in to languages and yoga abound. It could be worse :p

Oh yeah, Hope's coming back isn't she? lovely. That's the thing though - x events always seem so self contained. and yes, the last few issues have been amazing. Land is a fuckwad though- did you see the way he posed that woman in the Mystery Evil People bit with Scalphunter? Proper funny/ the death of talent.

I actually like Saw. It's a canny thriller with some great ideas. the sequels are guff though. They take the violence and leave the brains well behind, which is a shame.

We shouldn't really have expected much from McFarlane- he's the first name in retarded juvenile 'dark' comics. Nation X is shaping up really nicely. I'm a little concerned that the X-Men might have 'peaked' in Dark Reign now and won't really get a look in on Siege. I don't suppose it's a huge deal (it is, after all, an Avengers event) but the X-men are big hitters and they should get their time in the spotlight.

Yeah- Kirkman was on form as per, and it was nice going back to a less intense Invincible. In many ways it felt like older issues. Perhaps that was the point, but overall I think Ottley and Fco are just a way stronger team and suit the book perfectly my only worry is that Ottley is now on 2 books and I'd hate to see him loose his edge on vince. Especially as Haunt is pretty shit (and doesn't look like Ottley at all.

I would have liked to have seen him given just a touch more rope to hang himself with- If they had taken him outside of the issues discussed by his one note, hollow hate mob then I think he would have been totally incapable of responding and would have been further exposed. -

Well that was fun. Exposed Griffin for the shallow, brainless turd that he is- he has no ideas, no policies and merely lied and squirmed under scrutiny like the stupid cunt he is. The BBC comment page seems to have been invaded by an organised BNP flood though, which is a shame. -
really? tip: don't look in to the advertising campaign. Otherwise, it's looking excellent. Very much in the mold of the old Black Isle RPGs which, to my mind, are something of a Golden Age of classic gaming. I'm really looking forward to it.
