The good thing about ZP is that, although it's hyperbolic and ott, there's never actual fabrication. Everything he complains about is worth taking the piss out of, and in a deeply flawed market like videogames where spikey haired teens and steroid pumped jarheads are supposed to be Shakesperean tragic heroes there's more than enough for him to critique legitimately in his style. For all his exaggeration, I genuinely agree with most of what he says.

That sort of thing was rife in X-Treme too. An entire series based on people kicking down doors and explaining how their powers work in excruciating detail over and over. New X-Men was genuinely stunning when it ran alongside X-Treme in the UK reprints- incredible action sequences conducted in near silence while actions spoke louder than words and deafened everyone in the room. For me, that's when modern comics happened and I've never looked back.* *Not entirely true. You should still totally read The Man With No Fear by Frank Miller.

Yay for Bucky! One of the best characters in the MU right now so if they take him in the Brubaker direction with the Winter Soldier and everything, it should be pretty cool. Definitely not going the way of The Ultimates with him, then.

I tried watching with once but my friends' retarded, bovine grade fucksack of a sister was in the room and, instead of leaving, voiced her dislike of the film constantly like a baying moose throughout. Film. Ruined.

The hair is gone! speaking of which, I just just ditched a considerable weight off my head. I seem to do this occasional dash from one extreme to another with my hair, but I do kind of like the less hair look for now.

I'd agree with you on the colours. Compare to my boy Fco over on Invincible and there's no vibrancy. Whoever's colouring New Avengers these days gets a doffed hat, too. Great work.

Which arcs do you consider poor, Rez? Second Coming #2 was slick. More proof that CBR are talking shit often and without cause. Although the scope of the event wasn't really unveiled as such, it was an effective re-entry in to current events for Hope and Cable with some excellent characterisation and solid art work.
