because music should be above having to resort to that. It should be more effective.

also: anyone you need to read the lyric sheet for to understand is doing it wrong.

Personally, I find the lyric thing a bit over baked. She says alot but rarely hits on a refrain or hook that evokes a particular emotional reaction. By comparison, Interpol hardly use any words but evoke a much stronger response.

I liked the chases in US. The proximity to the ground helped maintain a sense of speed, which was cool. Never finished it though. I got to the boss battle against the green goblin and got stuck on the ridiculous button mashing mini 'game' where you had to save people under rubble while being attacked by fireballs. Web of Shadows was atrocious. One of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune to play.

I don't get that Newsom is that big of a deal. I mean, she's good, but you guys are engaging in some serious hyperbole.

man, Spider-Man was excellent this week. Seriously just...so complete. Everything Spider-Man should be (bar a bit of fisticuffs but I don't hold a grudge) in fact, it's just been really solid lately. say what you will about BND but they're certainly using the blank slate it offers to such good effect right now that it's genuinely hard to complain. So much is happening to so much of Spider-Man's world, and to such a strong supporting cast, that it's still one of the best books on the shelves.

It's almost like they're using mirrors as a metaphor for a mirrored reality. fuck that's deep.

You sir, are completely wrong. Just because they're not gunning down waves of Japanese soldiers it doesn't mean the episode was filler in any sense of the word.

haha that's ace Poor week for Marvel and me- though partially my own fault. I'm behind on Spider-Man and need to catch up before I read today's. On the up side: Second Coming #1 is out! Really intrigued as to what happens with this event. It's not like Siege where, basically, we know the outcome already in that the series is all about establishing a new 616 status quo and removing Osborn from power. I literally have no idea where Second Coming is going. Is Hope going to re-power the mutant race? Is she just the first of a new generation? Was Bishop right? I'm going in spoiler free. Oorah.

CBR are often terrible. I read 2 reviews this week on two established series' that started with an admission that the reviewers had never read the series before that issue. Call me old fashioned, but what about some fucking professional standards? Do some research. However, they do occasionally hit the right tone. Support for Spider-Woman was strong, and their take on Uncanny X-Men was solid: commending Fraction's scripts but with well aimed and deserved attacks on Greg Land.

Anyone who's thinking of picking up The Invincible Iron Man could do worse than Amazon- the Hardcover of issues 1-19 is reduced to £19.99 now. I just caught up on Deadpool. Sadly, it's been a bit of a let down. Compared to his attempts to join the X-Men, his team up with Spider-Man is awful. It's mostly the fault of Hit-Monkey, but the script is limp and feels pretty dry. Hopefully, a change of scene will do Wade good and normal service will resume.

They were excellent. But then when selling Bud Light, you pretty much need great advertising.

Considering that it's probably kind of difficult to do that, they're fucking retarded.

Ever go on Lamebook.com? a monument, nay, a hymn, to the monstrosity above. In fact, Lamebook is probably home to all the worst abuses in the English language this side of a jayseven cider fueled monologue on the concept of self and the internal, reflective mass human experience in relation to Tits. essential viewing.

Interesting idea. My first thought was that it was what would happen if the plane never crashed, but that went out the window with Jack's son. There's certainly an element of wish fulfillment going on- Sawyer is a cop, Hugo is lucky, Jack has a son etc etc. It could well be they're rewards for helping smokey. Interestingly, they're all faintly corrupted too. Jack is divorced, Sayid gets to see his woman but she's married to his brother, Sawyer is still messed up by the original Sawyer etc. Also, whatever happened in Australia seems to remain the same. Locke's attempted trip to the outback, Jack's father drinking himself to death and Sawyer murdering the man he thought was Sawyer 1.
