  1. There is an official thread for this game already, go talk about it there. Lock please....
  2. The original PSX controller had no rumble and also no analog sticks. Then they brought out the DualShock, which ahd these features. It was simply upgraded for the PS2 and PS3.
  3. Excite truck looked like they had the engine pretty down pat so the rest is content creation and testing. They could finish it pretty quickly I'd think.
  4. He's managed to articulate what I've been trying to say for a while now about the macho-ness. I was trying to liken it to marketing cars. But he's right. We are all in for happy times I think.
  5. Wouldn't get too hyped up. These could be VirtuCon games.
  6. Errrr only played on PC (in Chineese!) Was thinking about this as a possible Wii game. Didn't realise it got a console release.
  7. As most have said, as a stand alone game I think it is superb. But I think there are a few things that put people off about it: 3. It's a hard game. Best for those who like a bit more of a challenge 2. It's not based on a world that contains every environment on earth (snow, larva, desert, inside of your nicotine addicted auntie's lungs etc.) 1. Comparing it to MP1. It just shouldn't be done. There are so many differences. Must admit though that I thought the weapons and visors from MP2 needed a bit more umph. Dark visor was a rip off of the heat visor and the Echo visor wasn't used enough or in many different ways. Loved the look of the Echo visor though. Need I say much about the weapons? But all these things aside I did really enjoy this game,
  8. Hmmmm Heliodisplays.... http://youtube.com/watch?v=XOSx7v87JCA&search=heliodisplay Expensive but lots of potential. But on seriously, we all know that Micheal J. Fox has passed on his knowledge of the Flux Capacitor so that it can be put under the flap.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo did something really crazy with their packaging. I mean, they are trying to change the industry adn the stigmas around it. They might want to make packaging that looks nothing like a normal game. But the stuff above is crap. It's just really bad. Very 360ish and just shite.
  10. "Hello I am a little child with nothing to do and nowhere to go and am indeed not in anyway a cat..." Never before has nonsense made so much sense. Earthworm Jim is visionary creativity. Loved it, really did. Shame I never got the 2nd one. Snot on VC?
  11. To be honest, most of the time it's funny.
  12. Sound was awful, could hardly hear the interviewer. I'm happy though.
  13. South Park 64. It was just.. erm. Shit really.
  14. They are gonna try and put the tech into the tennis game to make your own characature.
  15. Anyone seen this yet? http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=17141 Also just as a side note, it says that they haven't filed against Nintendo yet. They can't because Nintendo don't use the same tech.
  16. Zelda and Metroid. Then I'll probably be out of cash. But lets be honest shouldn't this be more like "which ones won't you get ?" kind of thread?
  17. They've also got that massive mecha boss. It looks like something out of Sonic really but it's crazy!
  18. Dude sriously, it's not that simple. You don't just make them, "tadah wooo we have a game!" There are lots of different jobs that require specific training and background. Do some research. I suggest: http://www.blitzgames.com/gameon/index.htm and also http://www.gamesindustry.biz for job listings as far as testing goes. Honestly you need to decide which part of the team you want to be. But maths will probably be needed in all of them so DO IT. I think more people could do with A-level maths anyway.
  19. Tch tch... that's a Urologist silly. As I said, at the moment it just looks like the DS game on a big screen. Yay.
  20. Yeah exactly. Nintendo: Playing = Believing Sony: Sony = Stealing
  21. Kuju have 2 indisclosed games in development.
  22. FFS... people do just say stuff without thinking don't they? Have a look at the sensor bar in perspective with any other object and you will see that it is tiny!
  23. I'm a bit worried about this tbh. It just looks really flat like a bigger prettier version of the DS game. The Wii has depth perception, put it some goddamn use!
  24. Also both shots are taken at different veiwing angles. Makes a big difference for something that is essencially a ring around the edge. Still can't believe how small the damn thing is. I mean it just looks like a big DS Lite.
  25. QFT I don't really agree on your opinion with Galaxy though. It seems much more to me than just another SM64 clone. But hey, it's not like anyone has played very much of it! Also I think people are getting a little too worried about Red Steel. This game was graphically in some early stages due to lack of dev kits. Also I think that the control scheme will be worked out over time, maybe using the MP3 scheme for the gun and then switching to motion sensing for the sword.
