  1. That was a blast. I'm going to drop out, was fun guys
  2. I should be able to play that night too. In.
  3. This was also my first time seeing Spectator mode. Was there something you could do with the d-pad and the face buttons? I noticed each player had a button or direction assigned to them but it didn't seem to do anything
  4. I'm going to have to drop out here. Fun games
  5. Very close at the end there

  8. I agree with a lot of what you wrote there @Hero-of-Time . My problem is that, nothing about what they are offering with this directly improves the actual online infrastructure of the Switch. As far as gaming online on the Switch goes, it'll be exactly the same, only now with a price tag. All of the other stuff (Nes games, cloud saving, discounts) are just separate extras. If paying for Switch's online gave us the ability to send messages and invites for example, then I would be all for it, but based on the information they've put out so far, seems like its going to be the same service. Couple that with the fact there are very few online games for the switch and I currently only have one that holds my interest, I'm struggling to see why I should get a subscription, no matter how cheap it is.
  9. I'm still not a fan of paying for online and I feel that Nintendo adding this over a year into this consoles life is a bad way to go about it. I'd much preferred if they kept online free and if this was just a premium service we can pay for for cloud saving and access to a Netflix style service of games (with more then 20 NES titles). I'd also add the ability to send messages and auto-invites to people on your friends and make that part of the package. I'm sure I could think of a few other things to add to make this something I'd be interested in. Right now I only have one game I play regularly online and that's Splatoon 2 and I'm unsure if I want to pay for the privilege to do that in 4 months time when chances are my interest will have waned quite a bit in that game. Maybe something else online focus will be announced at E3 or thereabouts but right now, this isn't a service I will really need as its not worth it for me.
  10. Nintendo have updated their online page with details of what a subscription gets you: https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online-service/ Cloud saves confirmed for subscribers. Free 20 NES games with added online play for subscribers. From May 15th Nintendo will introduce a Familiy system that will allow to link up to Nintendo Accounts You can buy a subscription for an individual account or for a Familiy (more expensive but a better deal) You can link your account to multiple Switches and don't need to subscribe multiple times The previously announced price of $20 yearly is for individual users. Other accounts on your Switch won't be able to use online services. if you want to share your subscription with other accounts (either on your console or another one) you can buy a family plan for $35 yearly. 10 of the 20 NES games are shown here: https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online-service/nes/ Soccer Tennis Donkey Kong™ Mario Bros.™ Super Mario Bros.™ Balloon Fight™ Ice Climber™ Dr. Mario™ The Legend of Zelda™ Super Mario Bros.™ 3
  11. Pretty cool, I just tested it out on a racing game and it worked perfectly. Gyro controls are supported in case anyone was wondering. Also, for some reason it illuminates the LED light around the HOME button as well.
  12. I also saw it this morning. Absolutely incredible. Agreed with everything you wrote there @Julius Caesar
  13. Yeah some of the things people have made with it so far are already brilliant:
  14. I'm a little disappointed by that to be honest. I appreciate that they want these games to feel as close to how they felt back in 1999/2002 but little things like being able to skip time in Shenmue 2 was a nice QoL feature that really should have been in Shenmue 1. I'm surprised it isn't an option they would allow you to turn on or off in the settings or something. Look's like we really will have to wait around a whole day for our plane ticket again.
  15. This could mean nothing, but there's a chance this is hinting towards that Luigi DLC that was rumoured early last month...
  16. It looks like the costume rumour is true as well. These two were just added to the game: The Satellaview costume is a pretty obscure reference: Here's the list of all the ones that were found hidden in the update a few weeks ago: https://nintendoeverything.com/new-wave-of-super-mario-odyssey-costumes-datamined-from-the-1-2-0-update/
  17. I remember playing SegaSonic in the arcades once. You controlled it by spinning what looked like a white snooker ball that was sunken into the front of the arcade, You had to spin it in different directions to control your character. The game looked nice at the time but I found it pretty difficult to control, plus the skin on the hands kept getting caught in the gaps around the sphere. I'm looking forward to this DLC, I loved playing through Sonic Mania so much last year.
  18. Hey just a warning about third party docks and the recent firmware update: Third-party docks seem to be bricking Switch systems with version 5.0.0
  19. It seems the data mined hidden artwork is being used after all. NoA just Tweeted this:
