  1. The release date for this will be October 4th. IGN released a very short bit of game play footage the other day: It's hard to see the improvements based on this little clip, but It seems to basically run as well as the PC version did from 2009. However, its easy to forget that the Xbox 360 version ran at 720p and the PS3 version ran at an even lower resolution on PS3, which was bumped up a little later on with a patch, so at 1080p (and 4K on PS4pro and Xbox One X) its a very nice bump is resolution compared to the the 360/PS3 versions. Also the framerate will be 60fps, which again is a decent improvement over the old console versions which ran at 30.
  2. Nice, I was watching them play this game during the treehouse stream at E3 ad it looks great. I was a fan of Muramasa demon blade on Wii, which its obviously inspired by so this is something I'd get day one. On a side note, I'm surprised Muramasa hasn't been ported to the Switch yet. The PSVita had a release of the game in 2013 which had some extra stuff thrown in. It would be perfect for Switch.
  3. Update Ver 5.0.0 will most likely be the last significant update to Splatoon 2, they've added the Splatest maps to Private games among other things They've also made a number of changes to the maps, full list on NoA's site: https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27028/~/how-to-update-splatoon-2
  4. It looks like the Nintendo of Europe may have accidentally revealed the date that character is released: They've deleted the Tweet since.
  5. Well, glad they are removing but yeah, i doubt it was an error. There have been a few good images making fun of the situation
  6. A lot of stuff announced at San Diego Comic Con just now: Eternals, SHANG-CHI, Thor 4, Back Widow and Doctor Strange 2 are all movies. Hawkeye, WandaVision, Loki and Falcon & Winter Solider are series exclusive to Disney+ Marvel's What If...? is an animated series exclusive to Disney+, will feature the voices of actors from different MCU movies and shows. They also announced X-men, Fantastic Four, Captain Marvel 2 and Blank Panther 2 are in development
  7. embargo seems to be up https://www.metacritic.com/game/switch/marvel-ultimate-alliance-3-the-black-order?ref=hp
  8. Is it the exact same cpu as this new model?
  9. No, but I would have assumed one of the main reasons for having a handheld focused Switch would be the improved battery life (as well as having a smaller console of course). If the Lite only adds half an hour to the battery over the current model, and then just a few days later they announce this upgraded model will boost the battery life up to 9 hours then one of the main reasons for the Switch lite has been outdone by already. And the Switch Lite isn't really that much smaller anyway. Honestly, I'm confused here. Why didn't Nintendo just wait and put this new chip in the Switch lite? The only benefit i can see to buying a Switch lite now, is the price.
  10. Edit- Didn't see there was a topic about this already
  11. I really like the Splatoon theme, it suits Tetris so well:
  12. Just announced: So just two games this month. The Wrecking Crew and Donkey Kong 3
  13. Yeah it’s a little odd. All I can think of is that, being that this physical release includes the offline mode DLC , it’ll worth it for people that just want to play local multiplayer etc but have no interest in the online modes. The only other reason I can think of would be if nintendo are planing to remove it from switch online service at some point? ( I doubt that though). In other news: Splatoon crossover event!
  14. Tetris 99 is getting a physical release:
  15. Yeah, its a shame that they threw everything out the window after the Wii U. Miiverse was a pretty great feature when it was integrated into a game, such as comments showing up in-game in Mario Maker levels, bottles in Wind Waker HD and even messages on the game over screens in Mario 3D World. It had so much potential and i feel would have added value to their online service once they started charging for it.
  16. Just got back after seeing it, really enjoyed it.
  17. I just got back into this game since they added the Ecto 1, I'd forgotten how much fun it is. Apparently this game has crossplay (I own it on Steam) so if there is room in the future I'd like the join you guys, assuming Switch players and Steam players can join up
  18. Really nice comparrison/review video from Nerrel. I agree with pretty much everything he says here about Zelda OoT 3D:
  19. WWE will be leaving Sky and moving to BT sport from January 2020: This is Kinda surreal as Sky has been the home of WWE/WWF since the late 80's when I first started watching. If I remember correctly it was one of the main reasons people in the UK bought Sky back then. Won't effect me personally as I've not watched any of the current stuff in a few years now.
  20. I like the way Nintendo designed their booth this year. The diorama's in the Link between Worlds area: The spooky Luigi's mansion 3 area was looked pretty great too:
  21. PSO 2 is technically already on Switch, as its been on the Japanese eshop for about a year as 'PSO2 Cloud'. From what I understand, its a streaming version of the game much like Resident Evil 7 on the switch is. So perhaps if the western release of PSO 2 comes to the Switch, it might just be this version. Personally I'd prefer a full download version. I think the full game is pretty big now, since it houses 7 years worth of updates and content, which might be why Sega made the switch version the way they did.
  22. Yeah, I'm catching up on the treehouse stream and it look pretty good. I liked the way the dev was talking about how much attention they spent on the camera, and programed it to subtly show the player where things are and where to go. The controls looked really smooth too.
