Speaking of raw propulsion, mixed with some genuine psychosis; -
Campaign for people to use the chat room again

Why does this ish not work? I need a space to explore my alter ego as Scrooge McDuck. -
Well as long as we're free associating, the first thing that came to my mind when I head that choon from Eternal Sunshine (which I really fucking need to see again) was this:

It's worse than anyone else's musical output attrophying though because she was so unique, I genuinely cannot think of anyone who sounds like Regina Spektor, and now I'm stuck listening to the same two albums since I was like 17. Oh Regina Spektor. You cling to my soul like toilet tissue on a shoe.
-
New Spektor album is a rookie mistake there Eddie, we all know the only good shit she's ever done was on Soviet Kitsch and Songs And the *proper* version of Samson, not the tacky, rushed version from Begin to Hope:

Oh god yes, that track is simply gorgeous. Brian Eno can turn me into a great effervescing ball of stratospheric euphoria like nobody else. I'm assuming what you're looking for is more ambiance than song based structure Wessss? In which case: Etc.

If it's entirely the vocals that you find distasteful, maybe something like this would be more to your taste? -
That's amazing. It could have been taken straight from an Ed Wood film.

Any other game apart from COD and Modern Warfare?

If you're speaking strictly about shooters specifically, you might want to try the Brothers In Arms games, especially Hell's Highway, which approached the genre in a unique way that utilised cover and the idea of using diversions/ emplacements and flanking tactics to try and emulate an infantrymans experience of WW2. -
You have to be slightly autistic to think the "world" of Rayman is anything other than a slapshot menagerie of flimsy ramps and ledges designed to simultaneously annoy anyone over the age of twelve and provide an excuse for jumping on shit. Definitely a step down from Rayman 2.

That game was fucking junk.

Can't expect a man to go spelunking into the depths of something he despises; I don't really have the ability to distinguish between early and newer stuff, because nothing I've heard has been anything but distasteful to me. @ Paj, I'd say the usual thing about aquired tastes or whatever, but I'n all honesty, I really like the vocals, they add an additional percussive element and suit the music in as far as they're not contoured and defined and have a sense of vagueness. I agree that they do sort of cudgel you in a song that otherwise has large passages of tranquility. The thing about the song is it's from Oceanic, an album all about waves of impact, and the growls come in on the harsher, more intense parts. -
Stuff you used to find funny, but now you don't.

Michael Mcintyre. Actually, I never found that fat fuck funny, I was more amused that he somehow managed to hoodwink a vast portion of the population to mistake prosaic obervations for humour. I am now simply appalled. -

This thread has been left alone to plunder the depths of fecality for too long (yes I know that's not a real word). I mean, fucking Drake, U2 and Bruno Mars, are to music what the Dan Brown books are to literature; a way for the mentally challenged to feel a sense of inclusion. Fuck off with that shit. Here I leave you with one of the best pieces of ambient metal written by one of the greats of the genre, so you may too sail through endless skies, guided only by the sounds in your head. Just incredible. : -
Anyone done the Mind of Madness quest yet? The Wabbajack has to be one of the most awesome weapons you get in this game. The great thing is, they've transferred the sense of humour and just plain wackyness from the Fallout Games over to Skyrim, which is great, since the previous iterations in the series were unnecessarily po faced in their seriousness.
-
It's say its too much when you're seriously considering cathing yourself and setting up a colostomy bag just to sustain an uninterrupted stretch of gaming, such as I have been doing while playing Skyrim.

Every time I go into Birna's oddments in Winterhold, she's all like, my husband spends all our gold on mead, and I'm like, bitch you're full of shit, you spend all your gold on the shiny wares I bring back from looting crypts.

I genuinely think your life is a pun on the meaning of humour.

Gamasutra editor will ban you if you make him look silly!
The Bard replied to WiiUMarryMii's topic in General Chit Chat
Gamasutra is a pretty great site with an industry focus in the same way as EDGE magazine. As for this post, there's nothing like being jilted by an editor and then going and complaining about it to a crowd of random strangers. I'd understand if the seeming purpose of your post was to warn about user policy on the site, but really, you're only here to bitch and moan. -
That's a total cop out brah. I still really like the show, makes me chuckle like little else on television.

Each of the characters seem so emotionally tired this season, House himself seems to be lacking his usual charisma. To be honest, Season 7 ended on a bit of a bastard note, sort of marring House's progression as a character and makes this season, and the show itself seem more like it's beholden to year on year renewals rather than any real idea the writers have of where they want to take it, or any finality that there might be. I know House has never really been about the overarching story as much as the individual puzzles encountered in single episodes, but for a while I was convinced it was going somewhere. Also: Love that the patient in episode 5 of the new season is called Bob Harris.

It's called Stealth Bastard. Where do I sign up?
