Don't listen to him, he's a complete ass. I think you should go and think this over very carefully and give us some broader detail about what kind of business you think you would like to run, because the skills you need could end up being very specific.
-
Pfft, I'd be thankful more than anything

Nice, I'm still growing mine, it's down to my chest now, great for gigs :

Nah, but here's a smoke. Any last words? Lol, well my copy was a chipped one in the first place, so it's all good.

Post one word a day that sums up how you feel
The Bard replied to Stocka's topic in General Chit Chat
Relieved, just got all A's in my mock exams. Just hope the actualy ones go as smoothly. -
Yup, Emo has a good point there, it's already a great read, but it would make it that little bit better if you just gave a description of what was happening to him physically rather than describing what he was feeling all the time .

Just for that, I'm going to have to give you an awesome 11/10 . Even though I have no idea what's your avatar actually is.... -

Alright, I'll give it a go; Book: His Dark Materials. Ok, many think of this as a childrens book in league with Harry Potter and LOTR, but trust me on this one, you are either misinformed or haven't read it, and as for comparing it to those pieces of nonsensical, poorly written drivel; it makes me sick to say the least. One of the great pieces of contemporary literature in my opinion, and nothing else has managed to coax such a strong emotional response from me. Notable mentions go to: Catcher In The Rye, Paradise Lost. Movie: I'm no movie buff, so my tastes aren't going to be as cultured as some, but I've always loved the Back To The Future trilogy so much. Just great, lighthearted storytelling, involving my favourite theme: time travel . Other notable mentions go to The Matrix, for being the single movie that I've watched the most (about 27 times on last count), Gladiator, and at the moment, I'm feeling the love for Blood Diamond. Album: This is too hard, I cannot possibly single out one album, so I'll instead leave you with a little list. I'm not going to give any reasons either, because if I get started, it's going to drag on for a couple of pages. Yasunori Mitsuda - His Entire Discography is stunning beyond words. Metallica - ...And Justice For All Megadeth - Rust In Peace Killswitch Engage - Alive Or Just Breathing Slayer - Reign In Blood ....Is this starting to sound generic? Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder In Flames - Colony/ Whoracle ....aaaargh, the list goes on...I'll stop now...

That sounds rather epic I suppose there is some truth to that. Show No Mercy was also a great album; Black Magic, when you hear it for the first time, it's totally spellbinding, holy shit, I can hear that riff...magic...I've always found Hell Awaits to be the most overrated of their early albums, to be honest. It really started picking up...well, of course you know what happened with Reign...it's brutal, dissonant beauty personified. As for Megadeth, yeah I totally agree with you there, Countdown had 2 or 3 great songs, and the rest was shit. After that they released the odd good song, but never really in the same vein. However you can't deny that Megadeth's first 4 albums, especially Peace Sells and Rust, were totally unparalleled by almost anything, regardless of genre. Btw, listen to Rotting Christ...brillaint... Edit: This reminds me, you weren't here back in the day of my crazy metal threads were you? Maybe I should resurrect them...

Holy shit! He's back! Hurrah!

I presume you're talking about Possessed. I don't know, I've always seen them as thrash. Saying that they invented Death is a bit bold in my opinion , and just because one of their songs is called Death Metal. Of course, you could be making the utter mistake of saying that Slayer invented death, in which case I'd have to slap ya S.O.D suck pretty hard , but yeah, I said that it was just some of the more prominent ones. Out of those, my favourites are Megadeth...infact, my favourite anything are megadeth. Damn, I even have Dave Mustaines signature guitar (the good one, not the budget one :p). As for Sabbat, you really have to hear some of their late demos to appreciate how damn amazing Andy Sneap was really getting. I have them on tape, I really should get digital versions.

Just one from each? That's asking too much (or too little, depending on which way you look at it)

Nah, I'm not wound up, just bemused at your gargantuan level of stupidity. Of course, with Fields, it's the simple matter that I hate his shitty guts. Now someone like Zell for example gives a reasoned view of what he thinks and why, instead of the ignorant bullshit that you spew on a hourly basis.

The Great Global Warming Swindle - Channel 4
The Bard replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Oh shit. Man, I'm running out of rants, I'm gonna take a break on this one. Swindle my ass. -
The only game that has better graphics than this right now is Metroid Prime 3. Oh man.
-
Right, of course, I'd like to stay here and make idle threats, but I have better things on my mind. Hows about you piss off and go masturbate some more.

As far as Black Metal goes, all I listen to is Rotting Christ, Emperor and some Immortal, and if you call Behemoth Black Metal, then them too. My taste in Death Metal is similarly limited, there have been some utterly stonking bands like Decapitiated, Vader, Death, Deicide etc, but the majority of the scene (I'm looking at the Cannibal Corpse crowd) sucked so bad it was hilarious. So, taking that into consideration, my favourite is obviously Thrash (out of the ones available , I'm aware that Bodom and Killswitch for example belong to different genres...), there were so many ridiculously fantastic bands from that time...I don't even know where to begin: Possesesed Kreator Sabbat Megadeth Metallica Slayer Anthrax Testament just to mention the most prominent ones. Bands were spawned that were truly timeless. The sense of speed, technicality and pure visceral aggression is totally unrivalled in any other kind of music, and that I think is what people fail to understand about metal. Beautiful.

Happy Birthday dude . Make up for lost time then eh?

Right. Of course theres the fact that I've been doing shoto since I was 11, and the fact that I'm kinda built like a bear, but nevermind, I'm sure some pansy white boy has to pull out the shit sometime or another.
-
I hope so. The first one was pretty much on par with Ocarina of Time.

There are few times when a man says something that makes me blank out in furious anger. I suppose it's a natural reaction to prevent me from hurting someone/ myself. This was one such time. If there was anything you could have done to prove your stupidity beyond your posts in the "Creationism VS Evolution" thread, this was it. Shapes on paper. All I want to do is find you and beat you into a bloody pulp until you are no more. I shit you not. I think I'm going to bust a nerve if I'm forced to endure you for much longer...You're on a gaming forum and you're saying that Art is pointless. Even the most basic of games, even pong...fuck me, why am I even trying to explain this to such a simpleton. Truly. Beyond. Words.

It's not at all. For that matter I could argue that as an "academic fucking discipline," geography, history, all modern and classical languages, and English are a waste of time (of course, there's no point in doing things like Maths and Physics at all unless it's academically). You clearly talk out your ass. Especially for someone who probably doesn't do A level art. Arsehole.
