Sure, they give variety, but they really aren't any fun to play on. That's what I think anyway. I mean, stages like Brinstar depth's really frustrated me to the point where I didn't enjoy playing the game.

Are the Xbox 360 / Playstation 3 holding the industry back?
The Bard replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Microsoft have done more for the industry since Nintendo did with the SNES in my opinion. Xbox live is pretty much the perfect online system, 360 has a colossal amount of awesome games. I'd say that it's the Wii that's holding everything back, because everything except the controller is thoroughly unsatisfactory. -
You would obviously cite something like Friends, which is a huge crock of shit, seriously, it's about nothing at all...Scrubs is, as far as I'm concerned, the best sitcom ever. What do you reckon is better? I don't think everything I watch is the greatest thing ever; for example I watch Stargate, which is entertaining but I wouldn't call it the best Sci Fi ever, mainly because I've never properly watched another Sci Fi. And I'm not about to have my music tastes judged by someone who listens to shallow, dull and thoroughly talentless crap like Angels and Airwaves and McFly.

I don't think he means anything by it, that's just the kinda guy he is. He's a decent guy, he just tends to be unpleasant sometimes. Either way, I don't really know why he plays with us so often, it's not like he's from the forums or anything. I can understand dan, because he's a genuinely awesome kid.

To be honest, last time we played, we were kinda picking on him. I think most of us are just bitter that he's better than us because he plays it all the time.

Pachelbel's Canon.

This is also my favourite. One of the best movies ever made. Also: "We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled that 60's. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously... All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole lifestyle that he helped create. A generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old mystic fallacy of the acid culture: the desperate assumption that somebody, or at least some force, was tending the light at the end of the tunnel. There was only one road back to L.A. - U.S. Interstate 15. Just a flat-out high speed burn through Baker and Barstow and Berdoo. Then onto the Hollywood Freeway, and straight on into frantic oblivion. Safety. Obscurity. Just another freak, in the freak kingdom." "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." Both from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I think the levels look brilliant. I don't want them to put too many gimmicks in, that would just make it lame, and I thought there were too many gimmicky stages in Melee, I'm really liking the look of the stages unveiled so far, they look beautiful. I just wish they'd get on and show us how the fighting system works.

What are you doing to replace games in the "draught"?
The Bard replied to Tyson's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not playing my Wii, instead, my Gamecube and 360 are keeping me busy. -
Who cares? The books aren't even that good.

It's great. Get Scrubs first though, because it's the best thing that has and ever will exist.

I think it's always always better to see yourself through someone elses eyes, so this question is better put to other people. I don't think I've changed very much, probably because people tell me that I'm veryvehement and never let anything go, and it's been like this as far as I can remember. I've always been kinda shy aswell too (and I really don't think you'd notice from the way I act on the forums), I'm not comfortable around large groups of people which is why I don't like going to parties. I guess I've become slightly more perceptive though, because I look back on some things and think "damnit, that wasn't the right thing to do" ie. become more in tune with how other people might be feeling. I'm still crap at that though. I wouldn't really know though as I said, it's better off asking someone who has an unbiased view on me.

There's no era I feel I belong to. Each decade had it's own thing to offer. 80's was the metal age, and there will never be a time like that again, so that's what I tend to identify with. Akin to Jimmy from Look Back In Anger, I don't really know where I fit in. I suppose I'm a bit of an oddball.

But everyone's already played that. The point of this is new experiences, or so I think. Instead, everyone proceed to buy/ download Chrono Trigger before coming on here and testifying to it's unrivalled awesomeness. Also, if this is going to be like my games club, there needs to be copious amounts of beer. Never mind that it's online damnit, where there's a will, there's a way o_0.
-
^ Excellent purchase. Where did you get it from? The only one I've seen is 50 quid . House kicks ass.

That's slightly off IMO, so I'll give you mine. Die Hard 1: 8/10 Die Hard 2: 6/10 Die Hard 3: 9/10. I thought the 3rd was the best tbh. Although the original is my favourite Christmas movie of all time .

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting rid of R6:V aswell. There's no replayability to the main game cause it's so repetitive after you finish it once, and the co-op mode kinda blows. It's not my kinda online game either, too cautious, if you know what I mean.
-
Me and my mates are gonna buy this, finish it in a day or so, and then return it. I've spent far too much time on the cube version, and I'm not willing to just start with a clean slate. As for the controls, they seem fine, it's just a matter of adjusting. There hasn't been a control scheme like this before, so naturally, it'll take some getting used to.
-
Just started playing Melee again after a few months cause some guys brought a cube into school. Winner stays on, I absolutely schooled everyone cause they're all shit. Hehe, they were all asking me how to do things like edgehogging and wavedashing, which they thought was some kind of magical hack . Practising my intercepts atm, pretty hard to get the hang of when you're practising with the computer because they just cancel straight out of it (which by the way is proof that the advanced techniques were put there on purpose) . I really really hope Brawl is as good as Melee. I hope they keep the data tracking stuff aswell, like the fighter data and stuff.
-
If you thought something was retarded, why would you do it? I'm not a dumbass, I'm perfectly confident in admitting that
-
I'd say we should all go out and buy Ikaruga and then share our experiences on that. It's a rare breed of game these days, and it's also one of the top ten games on the cube.

If I believed in fate, I wouldn't see any point in existing. I like to think that I have control over my life

Nope, never seen the RE movies. I meant the games.

Naaaaaah. I don't agree with that :p. It's better than 3 sure, but it just doesn't have the same depth as the others. Joint best fighter on PS1 though .
