Yep, I agree with that, but I'm not and never have been a fan of the music in Zelda, I've alwaysa thoguht it was a bit cheap, even still, I don't understand why nintendo couldnt se[enmd a couple of hundred dollars and get it orchestrated. I agree with you though. Everythuign from Chrono Trigger and Cross si in midi and it continas the best musinc from any game ever made imo. Unfortunately, Zelda doens't constaino that quality of music. Im finding it difficult to articulate muy thoughts/

I'm gonna call you and everyone else on tyat. The film lacked substance, I guess it was the throwaway diologue(sp?_+) that made it what it was, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought i would. the one liners were the highlights, but there was barely anything in the way of plot. It doesnt desrevge ALL the acclaim. One liners are fun sometimes, so I get why people liek it. Everyone cares what people think. Even me, ebern though I like to say that I don't. I liked the Matrix, it's one of my favourite movies, even though people constanttl take the piss out of it, I think everyone\s a little paranoid as to whether their opinion is deemed socially acceptable. Am I talking bullshit again?

Is it just coincidence that I agree with everything Zell and Goron_3 say? I think not. . I really enjoy the music to Battlefield and Final Destination, it's really well done. Seems like Nintendo have gone downhill since then cause all the musci was orchestratersd and in TP it was all MIDI. Ah well.

Hehe, I tend to do that a bit...I get excited You're really quiet Stef...sometimes I can't hear what you're saying o_0.
-
I don't actually, you seem to think that just because I listen to Metal... yes, I love a lot of metal, but it doesn't define me, or my taste in music. 16th notes can sound great when used well and in moderation (Children of Bodom, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbers etc) they can also sound horrendous when not used tastefully(Michael Angelo Batio, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tyr.) I respect you as a guitar player, you're the only one on these forums who seems or claims to have some degree of proficiency, I really don't understand why would learn to play that way if you consider it "talentless noise." As for friday night lights, you clearly know more about television than me. I've never even heard of it. But that's not the point, Scrubs (or at least the first 3 seasons), irrespective of how it compares to anything else is still classic television.

Hooooooooooooooooy! Therefore, Wind Waker wins.

Well, of course that's a subjective view, and I can understand it, different people are going to relate to different shows. I love Scrubs more than anything because it appeals to my sense of humour more than any other show, you clearly have a different sense of humour to me so you're not going to love it as much as I do. Also, this thread is for you to post your purchases, so I'm through arguing. Get back on topic.

Are the Xbox 360 / Playstation 3 holding the industry back?
The Bard replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, that's basically the other side of this argument. With 360/ PS3, developing games requires a large amount of expenditure, so developers have to make sure their game is worth playing resulting in long amounts of time being spent to get everything perfect. With Wii developers either rehash old titles, don't spend time on them or in the rare instance that they try something new, Nintendo dictate that it has to be geared more towards the casual market. Still, I'm confident we'll see some kick ass games soon enough. -
Yeah, how exactly did that involve you?

Are the Xbox 360 / Playstation 3 holding the industry back?
The Bard replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That's not a bad point actually. XBL is still the best thing to happen to games in ages. -
Since this morning I've listened to Children of Bodom's entire discography. Therefore, Hatebreeder > Follow The Reaper >>>>> All. Where the hell is Oxigen Waste when you need him? o_0

Sure, they give variety, but they really aren't any fun to play on. That's what I think anyway. I mean, stages like Brinstar depth's really frustrated me to the point where I didn't enjoy playing the game.

Are the Xbox 360 / Playstation 3 holding the industry back?
The Bard replied to jammy2211's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Microsoft have done more for the industry since Nintendo did with the SNES in my opinion. Xbox live is pretty much the perfect online system, 360 has a colossal amount of awesome games. I'd say that it's the Wii that's holding everything back, because everything except the controller is thoroughly unsatisfactory. -
You would obviously cite something like Friends, which is a huge crock of shit, seriously, it's about nothing at all...Scrubs is, as far as I'm concerned, the best sitcom ever. What do you reckon is better? I don't think everything I watch is the greatest thing ever; for example I watch Stargate, which is entertaining but I wouldn't call it the best Sci Fi ever, mainly because I've never properly watched another Sci Fi. And I'm not about to have my music tastes judged by someone who listens to shallow, dull and thoroughly talentless crap like Angels and Airwaves and McFly.

I don't think he means anything by it, that's just the kinda guy he is. He's a decent guy, he just tends to be unpleasant sometimes. Either way, I don't really know why he plays with us so often, it's not like he's from the forums or anything. I can understand dan, because he's a genuinely awesome kid.
-
To be honest, last time we played, we were kinda picking on him. I think most of us are just bitter that he's better than us because he plays it all the time.

This is also my favourite. One of the best movies ever made. Also: "We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled that 60's. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously... All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole lifestyle that he helped create. A generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old mystic fallacy of the acid culture: the desperate assumption that somebody, or at least some force, was tending the light at the end of the tunnel. There was only one road back to L.A. - U.S. Interstate 15. Just a flat-out high speed burn through Baker and Barstow and Berdoo. Then onto the Hollywood Freeway, and straight on into frantic oblivion. Safety. Obscurity. Just another freak, in the freak kingdom." "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." Both from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I think the levels look brilliant. I don't want them to put too many gimmicks in, that would just make it lame, and I thought there were too many gimmicky stages in Melee, I'm really liking the look of the stages unveiled so far, they look beautiful. I just wish they'd get on and show us how the fighting system works.

What are you doing to replace games in the "draught"?
The Bard replied to Tyson's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not playing my Wii, instead, my Gamecube and 360 are keeping me busy. -
Who cares? The books aren't even that good.
