    Either way, there is a much much larger amount of games coming out on 360 that I'm excited for than I am on Wii. And guess what the games I'm excited for on Wii are? Mario, Smash Bros and Metroid. All old franchises, 2 of which have been around for, oh, only 20 years. There's also No More Heroes, although that's the exception rather than the rule. Developers may be making more Wii games, but all their serious efforts are still geared towards the HD consoles.

    Holy shit! The HMV sale is awesome! Just got: Shawshank Redemption The Last Kiss Edward Scissorhands Goodfellas Lost In Translation Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for just 20 quid. Fucken A. Also bought Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas (the Book).

    Yeah, it's a good idea to start with Cube, cause it's awesome and everyone has one . Games are pretty cheap for it too these days.

    I think it's an immense film, but a lot of people I know think it's crap, for whatever reason, probably because the last 2 in the series were rubbish. I'm sure that some of the l33t movie affictionados on here would probably say that it's overhyped too, for whatever reason. I think it's great though.

    I never liked Kiss . I saw a picture of the band and thought, OMFG they're bound to be hardcore black metal. I was disappointed with the pop crap that they actually turned out to be :p. Zeppelin are the only band from the 70's that have really stuck with me. Maybe Aerosmith too.

    You do realise that you almost exactly proved my point: That's exactly what you just described it as being. It's just a rhythm game based around what people's pop culture fuelled ideas of guitar play is. Nothing more. It's a crap game.

    I love Blind Guardian. That's not so much folk as it is...actually, there is a lot of folk. Just listen to The Bard's song (oh. hell. yeah.). It's the way it's written. BG is tasteful (apart from their horrendous Tolkien obsession that makes me want to cause them grevious bodily harm). Tyr, are not.

    That's clearly a load of crap. I'm going to resist adding one of my usual insulting quips here. I shall articulare exactly that's a load of crap some other time. I am too intoxicated at this prestent moment.

    Of course they could have. It would have taken slightly more effort, but considering that this is one of Nintendo's longest running franchises, I would have thought it was worth the trouble.

    A perfect description fo Guitar hero is in this months letter from america in Games TM: "Guitar Hero is a sort of cultural tourism for people keen to toy with the idea of what they think Guitar playing is." I thoroughly agree with that. I don't like guitar hero. I think it's a waste of time.

    Yeah, I totally agree. The only disheartening thing is that more developers arent't developing this kind of game for Wii. I think where this game differs from GTA is that it seems like they concentrated on refining the core mechanics, like shooting, driving etc, whereas in GTA they were very crudely implemented. Also: I'm talking bullshit, so I'll leave now.

    GTA lacks alnmost everything that makes a good game in my opinon. As for art, I'm not so sure. I don't buy into take 2's claim that Manhunt 2 can be deemed art, so I'll have to wait to experience this before I can pass comment. Either way, it looks really good.

    Does anyone else havce this compulsive habit where you HAVE to start the game on the hardest difficulty available the first time yoi play it? I don't know why. It makes me feel awesome :p.

    Exactly, the Shrek series relies too mcuh on pop culture (?) as a referece point for it humour, and i just dont find that funny.

    It looks quite brilliant. I think it's becaus eit gave me the impression that it offers a more refined sort of GTA experiance?. For the record, I don't like GTA but I think this game is gonna be the first original killer app for Wii. Thoroughly can't wauit.
