  1. I think its more in the line of wanting him to be my older brother. Maybe I'm fetishising.
  2. Wow Crash Course in Utopian Philosophy: The Game, continues on schedule with the unveiling of "Dionysis Park" (or something like that, with Dionysis in it). It's starting to get a bit...whats the opposite of subtle? Not quite that, but close. Still brilliant fun, but not quite as sublimely told as the original.
  3. I'm in love with my seminar leader. Too bad its a guy. Just my goddamn luck
  4. Right, so this is rad. Some of the audio diaries are bloody fantastic, the combat mechanics feel more empowering, but its lost some of that overwhelming feeling of grandeur and overall world structure. The series looks to establish itself basically as a sort of dog-fighting arena for different branches of utopian philosophy to fight it out against each other, and this looks to be no different. Objectivism vs Collectivism now, apparently, which should be fucking hilarious, since they're about as opposite in polarities as you could imagine. Ryan was always far more charismatic than Lamb is though.
  5. Self evaluation time! I am viewed as a psychopathic vector of inflammatory contention. A cool way to say; Yall think I'm a dick . Perhaps. I like to think that, very fucking occasionally, people think of me as someone with a taste for debate, and that my flamebaiting is not necessarily because of an unerring need to be a dick, but because I like to get people in a position where they have to defend their beliefs; a position in which people are usually their most sincere. I don't know what else you lot think, but I doubt it can be very pleasant =p
  6. Oopsh. Mah bad. And Paj: No, its not. I like it daily, nightly, and ever so rightly . My day; consisted of procrastinating like a bitch, end eventually getting round to writing this essay on Emerson, which is difficult considering that almost everything he says is self-contradictory, and essentially disproves itself. And it annoys me that he seems to have colonised American literature for generations. He can eat mah balls. Tomorrow is gonna be aaaaawesome though. Going to Nandos with "the woman," and after that going to see Princess and The Frog. Score!
  7. Well, nature has a weird way at times of maintaining an equilibrium. I take my hat off to you anyway, either your don't get hormone rage, or your frontal lobes are huge to the point of being able to control the most pressing instinctual pangs. Then again...aren't you both at Oxford? Yeah. Probably a hell of a lot busier than me. Ah well. I don't mind being a pig in mud for now.
  8. Dude...it's like, painful. Also, that level of self control is...unprescedented. I'm fairly sure guys are more succeptible to unwanted arousal than woman. Hell, I wake up horny every morning.
  9. How can you not "ejaculate" for a week? By god. That's a marathon strech of self control/flagellation. I guess the will of instinct is stronger in some people, primal as we are. No, fuck that, I don't believe you, it can't be done, unless you're constantly sedated to the point where your peripheral nervous system doesn't even work, for a week. Maybe you're more evolved. Jesus.
  10. Nyaaaargh Caffiene induced psychosis. My head is thumping like a bitch, my eyes are burning with caustic uv fire everytime I look at a computer monitor. I'm having weird psychotic dreams. I need rehab.
  11. Yup. Otherwise known as the MAN gun (Mass Accelerated Nuke) =p. Enabled me to righteously shit on the final "boss".
  12. Have a goodun Ash
  13. No. Goddamnit, developers have finally found some assonance in their ability to manipulate current hardware, I don't want ME3 to lack the cohesion of the second game as they try to come to terms with technical difficulties. They finally succeeded in making a game where you actually play a role, rather than abiding solely by some numerical arbitration of your proficiency in whatever skill. In fact, I don't want a new hardware generation for a good long while. If they're released on the same hardware, there'll be some canonical aspect I feel, like they're all tied together more cohesively than if theres this huge aesthetic disconnect when you play the third game, and everything just looks and feels entirely different.
  14. I think my experence of the first two episodes can be summed up by the fact that i watched the first thirty minutes, and then proceeded to fall asleep for the next six hours. Something about it evokes narcolepcy, and I'm fairly sure its down to the shows unwillingness to allow my brain to extract any bloody meaning from the random ass events that occur.
  15. I took the renegade decision at the end of the game...you know, the one involving the collector base and the illusive man. Think I might just play that chapter again. Its ridiculous the ripples you can see from your playthrough of the first game. Can't wait for ME3.
  16. This is my favourite game ever.
  17. Saying that films don't rely on story is utterly ridiculous. Every artistic medium has its aesthetics, and they all differ; but that's just a reason why they all have capacities to convey different things. Story is important, because that's the way subject matter is conveyed. If all we have is aesthetics, then all we have, is an empty vector of a form that really doesn't have a point other than to wow us for a bit, and then be forgotten. I'm not passing judgement on Avatar, because I haven't seen it. As for Disney movies, yes, I do watch them for the plot. Duh.
  18. Giant who gives a fuck?
  19. I just jilted the bitch at every opportunity. She makes even Jack look like a ball of sunshine.
  20. Manchester as in, UK? It's my hometown. Seattle is a damn fine city too...nice work.
  21. Just had the...thing, with the collectors...after we picked up the IFF. Also realised that my character has a thing for Tali. Not me. My character. She's definitely the only female member on the normandy other than the doctor I like though. Too bad she's a Quarian. Woah. Did I just type that? I need to stop playing this ASAP.
  22. Defiantly? Passive aggression doesn't work so well on the internet Actually, favourite forum moments: When a group of us used to play nightly Gears matches, for hours at a time, and then come back on here to rag on each other and generally talk shit. I miss those times. Should do it again for nostalgia's sake!
  23. And now proceed the inevitable parallels between Jordan and Benjamin Linus... Wait, we're not talking about Lost here are we? So it begins
  24. Oh Molly, I just don't know. That guy was having a genuine mare. There is only word that conjures holistically accurate connotations when describing it: Wahjah Anyway. I have lots of favourite moments, that I've forgotted due to them not being particularly significant to anyone else =p. Most of them involve flame wars.
