I'm gonna be puritanical here, and say that this is the music thread, bitches. I don't wanna hear no shit bout visual performance. Aight? We're concentrating on what can solely be communicated on an auditory level through melody, rhythm, texture of any combination of the aforementioned. Video = do not want. Well not really, but justifying an artist by virtue of their music video's is fairly pathetic, especially if you don't even like the video for itself or the effect it produces, but just seem to vaguely agree with its socio-political standpoints about sexual egalitarianism. Or whatever. No! Music is abstract. It does not need ideas. Music hooks straight to the emotional centres of your brain, and like a good drug detaches you from any superfluous bullshit. It is your analgesic, geodesic dome of self contained perfection. I get carried away... I mean no offence.

That's why I picked a strictly non-autobiographical anecdote, but rather one that I would chuckle at, derisively, myself =p. Anyway, fuck being apologetic, people are always gonna be ignorant. Sounds to me like you'd enjoy her being there if it wasn't for the anxiety of having people that you don't wholly give a shit about judging you to some extent (or maybe I misinterpreted this part). Just be extra awesome to compensate for any awkwardness =p. I'm sure I'm oversimplifying, but to be fair, anxiety is something that I'm constantly trying to beat off myself...it's just something you need to de habituate yourself from. I find that expecting bad shit to stir, ends up being a self fulfilling prophecy. Chill brah. Buy some mdma.

Well, who really needs to be a "couple"? Not everyone needs to shoehorn themselves into that archetype. I get the being embarrassed part though, mostly happens with friends you make in different parts of your life, both groups have deviating ideas of who you are, and attempting to reconcile the two always results in various admissions you weren't ready to make. Like...how wednesday nights were always spent at your local games workshop playing Warhammer and eyeing every homely looking lass that walked past the window... Alas! but maybe that's not what you're getting at.

I am having to read too much Neitzsche, and it's not doing my brain any favours. Germans. Had a friend over today to play guitar, videogames and watch metalocalypse, which was fun until I realised that I have a learning journal to complete. AGH, all this uni business is causing me horrible anxiety. Ah! Yeah, and I got a new guitar a couple weeks back! Just cause I don't feel safe keeping the other one at uni, since they don't make it anymore and it was very very expensive. Spent the best part of my loan on it, but its all good. Also! Played a gig for Tamil society (I'm brown enough to pass =p) at the O2 center, which was fun. Good week. I do what it takes. I get the job done. Then I get wasted. Why would you be nervassss? Prospect of intimate relations? =p

Yeah, that song was pretty terrible. And Lady Gaga's face is beginning to annoy me. I guess its some Pavlovian thing where I see it and am immediately accosted by memories of flamboyantly homosexual men, and ditsy bints hailing her "music" as the greatest thing ever, repeatedly. Boring after a listen or two. Predictable. Can we move on, plz? I guess I'm just in a bad mood if I don't get my quota for brutal aggression from music for a couple of days. It's not that I don't like other music, it's just that anger is the core of my being. =p. Hmm, I suppose, but then it would have been less annoying, since decryptophiles all over then internet wouldn't have been relentlessly trying to find some pretentiously pseudo artistic connotations in it. HINT. Lets go back to listening to Joanna Newsom for a while........*dreamy grin*

Weird, it's my favourite one. Did away with the cheesy emo romance overtones, had a story that was vaguely tolerable, and a bloody brilliant combat system that was as complex or as simple as you wanted it to be, and always rewarding, cityscapes that you could survey from every angle since they unlocked the camera, and it was definitely one of the most beautiful games of last generation... I think what suffered was the music though, but then, the music has been fairly tedious ever since the end of the PS1 era. First Final Fantasy I could bear to finish since 6 (Yes, I finished seven, but I was stupid back then, so it doesn't count). Then again, Final Fantasy has always been overrated.

Firstly, you have no soul! It's been a long time since a musician encapsulated a mood so complete! As for Ratatat albums, I would really say that there's not enough consistently good material on their albums to warrant a single purchase, although you could compile a good 15-16 absolutely awesome songs from all their collective works. My personal favourite of their original material is their first album (RATATAT) for thumping beats, beautiful washes of psychedelic guitar and just general euphoria. To be fair, the best regardless is their Remixes Vol. 1 album. Some of the best remixes I've ever heard, but if you're not into rap, then don't bother.

I've been listening to it continuously. It's been a while since I encountered such a great folk singer, who weaves such enticing tales, where the music not only lends your imaginative eye a helping hand, it drags you away completely. Delightful on so many levels.

My titties can now lift a good 85kg for 6 reps. I feel awesome. There seems to be a stock routine for me that cycles every four days, and unfortunately, my anterior deltoids and squat are kinda suffering. You've gotta properly hurt your legs to get them to grow at all.
