no no no! i just emailed them asking them, i hadnt even heard about them until someone else posted about them, look far enuf back and u'll see me asking if they are any good. i just emailed them asking a few questions and they seemed to say the right things admittedly they could have hoodwinked me! i'll even post the emails,trust me im not getting anything out of this. i dont have any close proximity to them at all.

i still dont get how the GBA is selling so many.... and the PS2 for that matter...the crazy world of japan.

At the time it seemed like a very fresh platformer, its adult humour had me wetting myself lol. who can forget its many incredible set pieces: the matrix style finale, fighting a big singing turd, meeting the grim reaper gregg please lets see this on the vc, or i may have to buy the xbox version which im sure just wont feel the same,lets not forget ign gave it 9.9 surely their highest score ever?

i thought retailers did actually know how many they were getting, either way hmv stores wont know till the week before at the earliest

yeah you see why they've said this is because that is when the final allocations will likely come up on computers, when we have new games releases on the fridays we usually can look on the computer on the saturday to see how many have been central allocated to us, but sometimes this isnt the case and it isnt until during the week. wor we really need to do is have a completely seperate way of doing such preorders... sucks i know but its not just the sales assistants attitude it is an actual mentality of the company, that they don't know till then.

I am doing a literary editing module for my english degree and desperatly need some submissions for a website project, was meant to be doing a project at school but that looks like it has fallen through. does anyone have any stories they would like to submit? if so email me on [email protected], and please if your interested reply to this thread so that it stays high for people to see. just need plenty of stories to have to review privately and display on a website.

http://www.play3k.com iv been told as long as the banner that says guaranteed launch hardware is up and running they havnt allocated all thier stock it will be altered as and when they fill up thier allocations. ive sent a fair few emails asking and checking about them, and they have said as long as you order asap you will get one.

well as a hmv employee I would feel should try and defend them again as I done many a time..check out my long post in the preorders thread.... but this time im not gonna... it does seem like madness and its all based on the companies overall policy on allocating stock to its stores. of course hmv as a company will have got their allocation, but they will be leaving it to decide how much store gets, based on how many they preorder and what thier current games sales are like. so rather than send 10 to every store (for example) they will scale them out so only the stores with the greater sales posiblities will get 10+ its jsut the way they do everything with all thier stock allocations for cd's etc... it is stupid, at the branch i work at we are just taking preorder after preorder after preorder... we are 40 odd the moment and rising, it seems like madness, seem as we hardly got any 360's... i have to admit i dont know what is going on, as soon as i find out i will post here.

Leads me to wonder will downloadable demos of new games be available on VC aswell? admittedly something like pinball classics won't be a large file, but surely with the large SD card compatability downloading game demos is definitly a possibilty. its worked on xbox live so why not connect24?

it really doesn't bother me, since i can remember i've been using a wavebird anyway...
