Aw man, I watch Big Love and it's never done anything of the sort to me. Battlestar Galactica is indeed completely awesome and has a lot of very powerful and emotional moments. One of my favorite TV shows of all time, probably (The Plan was pretty pointless, though).
-
No Ordinary Family looks pretty dull, but then I've also never been a fan of Smallville, so whatever. I'm going to hold off on watching The Cape until I know whether or not it's worth watching. I hate watching a pilot for something that seems promising but ends up sucking and feeling obligated to keep watching it. Here's hoping it's good, though. Not that I need another TV show to watch every week, but quality television is always nice.

5 is Discworld 2. Edit: 2 seems to be The Super Aquatic Games. At least that's what I found when I tried googling the James Pond games.

My biggest issue with Mass Effect 2 was that the story pretty much went nowhere. Spending almost the entire game doing nothing but recruiting people (or playing optional loyalty missions) got old fast. The first game had fewer main missions, but they all felt larger in scale and had more to do with the overarching plot. I also really disliked how they turned every mission into a 'stage', with a results screen at the end. It took me right out of the game and felt way too arcade-y. I really missed the Mako. Yes, the first game went overboard with repetitive Mako missions, but removing them entirely felt like a step in the wrong direction. Overlord showed how they should have handled the Mako in the sequel. Overall I loved both games, though.

I'm really thick and didn't realize that it was supposed to say 13 at first (I couldn't figure out how you'd managed to write 2011 in such a weird way), so I thought it was an odd-looking Z with some sort of symbol above it. And while it's obvious that the n is, in fact, an n, at first glance it looked a bit like an r because part of it is hidden behind the e. After that, I was stuck in my interpretation of the text. But yes, it's obvious what it's supposed to say, and this was all just meant to be in good fun.

But he already is. ... Or is that just me?

This is all I can see when I look at the new banner:

5 is Doom II. I thought it looked familiar.

Haha, no respect for the birthday boy/girl unless they bribe you. I like that.

In the US? Every other season has started somewhere around September 20th, so probably around then.
-
Regarding the discussion on bringing a cake to work when it's your birthday: what happens if people know it's your birthday and you don't bring something? Is that allowed or do you get shunned and/or fired?

I for one know enough about people's bathroom habits by now without another thread about them. D:

Ugh, the awkward teen years are the worst. Enjoy acne and getting interested in girls and/or boys, N-Europe! Also, congratulations, keep up the good work and all that stuff.

He has the comet medal, though. Would be weird if he asked how to unlock the star if he didn't already have the comet medal.
-
But then he might end up watching America's Next Top Model again! Better not risk it.
-
It is, and yes - the difficulty of the final star has been greatly exaggerated. Still an awesome game overall, though.

Nintendo really didn't want anyone to get the final star.

I second (third? Fourth?) The recommendation for Community. Probably my favorite sitcom on television right now. Parks and Recreation is also great once you make it through the first season (six episodes). 30 Rock is funny, though it takes about half a season for it to hit its stride. How I Met Your Mother is funny and not too taxing, as others have said. If you haven't watched it yet, ReZ is right about Arrested Development being awesome. It will require your full attention, but it's a great show to watch with/at the same time as someone else. If you want something that mixes comedy and drama, Ashley is right about Chuck being fun, even if it's a bit predictable at times. I also really liked Terriers, though sadly it was canceled after only thirteen episodes. Great show while it lasted, though. It reminded me a bit of Veronica Mars, which is also really good if you haven't watched it yet. Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Wire are all fantastic shows, but Ashley is right about them requiring your full attention. I think the first two shouldn't be too taxing, but The Wire is very emotionally draining, to the point where it's almost painful to watch at times. But it's also utterly brilliant, so if you think your girlfriend would be into it, then definitely watch it. There's also Dexter, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire... I know you said she wasn't into science fiction, but if she's open to it, you should at least try to get her to watch the miniseries for Battlestar Galactica. She might still like that (Caprica is great too, but also science fiction). Basically I recommend every TV show ever.

I already tried to include you in my birthday wishes for Jayseven, so you get nothing from me. Sorry. :p

Happy birthday to Jayseven and anyone else whose birthday it is today so that they don't feel left out.

Very carefully. "How many wipes with the family dog are too many?" Newspaper might be a viable alternative for Scoop next time, though. Then he wouldn't have to worry about wasting toilet paper.
-
Maybe Scoop's friends are poor? Or just really cheap.
-
Well, that settles that, then.
-
Two squares, Scoop. You're a bad friend if you use more than that. Toilet paper doesn't grow on trees. This has been another quality post from your sexy pal The5thChil- Magnus.
