Yeah, there seem to be quite a few users who are getting blocked and all their old purchases from their Oculus user becoming unavailable. Which is bull in my opinion. This is one of my biggest gripes with the headset as well. But it's a shame, because it's the best headset for newcomers on the market. If it leaves a bad impression on a lot of players, it will have a negative effect on the VR development. @Vileplume2000 if you have a decent PC that can run it, I would strongly suggest that you look into the HP Reverb G2 It looks to be an impressive headset in every way except maybe the controllers (but these can be changed with the Valve Index controllers for a fee), and there is no mandatory social media account required.

Sounds great I'm glad you're having a blast with it so far Do you think this is the strap, or the lack of options with the IPD adjustments? I've heard that a lot don't hit their exact IPD as it's limited by the screen and the three positions. Will love to hear some impressions down the line. If possible, it'd be cool to hear how the latency is in a shooting game, from where you pull the trigger to when it fires in-game. I've heard it's noticable for some people, and a lot of others don't seem to notice any latency at all.

Oh mate, it's well worth the £40! If it doesn't work well with the streaming, you could always ask for a refund.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales (12th November 2020)
ArtMediocre replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
This looks so good. I can only hope they release it on PC one time in the future (in five years...) so that I can play it. Well done to Insomniac for making a great Spiderman game. It's been a long time since that happened. The last one was, what... Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2? And jesus, what is driving people to sending death threats over changes to a character in a video game? In a piece of entertainment? People have too little to worry about these days. -
Nice, congrats @Happenstance! Let us hear your impressions in the Virtual Reality thread And enjoy your new toy. I bet Google Earth is gonna look slick on that thing I ended up buying a new, curved 27 inch QHD monitor from MSI. Good for gaming and the home office. And it's a 166 Hz monitor, so it's miles better than my old 60 Hz 1080 monitor.

Thanks for the info Drahkon. I really enjoy action JRPG's, so that's why it appealed to me in the first place. I'm just wary when it comes to games that get's advertised too much, like those annoying mobile games. Good to hear that it's a decent game from your short playtime. I'll see if it's any good on PC. I guess I'll be able to customize my controls (unless the developers are total potatoes), so I'll try it there. Too bad about the gacha mechanics though, not a fan of those. But if you can get a decent experiece from the core game without paying more then I'll stick to it.

So, after being bombarded with ads for this game (mobile games sure make a lot of money), i figure I'd watch some gameplay, and it looks pretty good. Like anime breath of the wild with waifus good. Can I get some impressions from you guys? Any of you have played it? Is it cross save, so I can play on my PC and continue on my Switch or phone? And is it free to play too?

I totally agree, and I never planned on doing it to be honest. I originally put in two orders because the review embargo dropped after the cards went up for sale, and after seeing the TUF got great reviews I decided to keep the card. But after thinking about the amount of money I would spend on the graphics card, power supply unit, and the new HP Reverb G2 VR headset, I figured I'd keep both orders and try to sell the MSI card for some profit. And now, HP has released a statement about the release of the Reverb G2 not releasing before november. I am using a HD monitor with 60Hz, so a 3080 is overkill for my system, to put it mildly. That's why I decided to try to sell the second card at a really high price if anyone would even bother with the price. And I guess they did. It sucks for them, but I'm pretty happy. Not going to become a scalper, because I think the system should be fair for everyone. But just this time, it was worth it for me.
-
And here's the second one! I have gotten an insane offer for the second one too, so I'm actually going to sell them off, and buy a new one with the money I make of both cards next year. I'll even have around £100 to spend on a new 2K screen

Smash Bros Switch Roster Prediction Competition
ArtMediocre replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I kinda want a penalty for making it official so late in the game too. Can I have minus 30? To be honest it was kind of a joke, but I'd be happy to be on the list -
Smash Bros Switch Roster Prediction Competition

Excuse me @Glen-i, I'll take my minus points, thank you very much! -
To be honest, I've already sold it I ordered two as soon as they were released, and I'm planning on keeping the other one. Made a fair bit of profit too, about £350, so that lessens the blow of the cost. I have put the other card up for sale too, but with a high enough price that I highly doubdt it'll get sold. If it does, however, I'm more than happy to wait until januar to get a new one, as well as a new screen

It's finally happening! Looking forward to testing the new headset in November, and a lot of the changes are very positive.

This looks incredible! Thank god Sony is finally easing up on exclusivity, and that more and more titles are PS5 and PC launchers. This will look crazy good on my rig with mods

Aaand like everyone around, I have to wait for my cards. What a terrible launch . So few cards for so many buyers. A retailer here in Scandinavia is apparently having over 10.000 backorders, so I guess people will have to wait a while. My cards are due to be sent sometime next week, but I'll believe it when I get the shipping numbers. On the bright side, it looks like the affordable ASUS TUF Gaming is a really solid card!

Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase (17th September 2020)

I KNOW, FITNESS BOXING 2 LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!! -
I managed to snag two cards. A MSI Gaming Trio X and an ASUS TUF Gaming OC. Now I just need to figure out which is better (as I had no reviews beforehand), before selling the other one. Most likely at a bit of a higher cost, if I can (sorry)
-
I already have multiple tabs with GPUs open and ready for order, just to be sure I'll be able to snag one. The supply is supposedly really, really low, so the cards will most likely be sold out after a few minutes/hours, and resupply won't happen until around christmas. Just a heads up.

That price point and upgrade is pretty good! Just not really interested in tying my facebook account to another unit, and the whole "Facebook account required for use" is stupid. I've steadily gone away from Oculus after they were bought by Facebook. Don't get me wrong, I think the fact that Facebook drives VR forward with more money and more development, and also less cost for consumers (except their privacy/soul) is pretty good for the entire VR community. But I think it drives the development in a wrong direction. Facebook wants quick cash, so they stock on the easiest platform to make games on. Mobile. And now they've officially killed the Rift S. In Facebooks eyes, PCVR is dead. But that is, in my opinion at least, where we have more and more possibilities with VR. I just hope that the developers for Quest games will also make PC-versions of their games, but who am I kidding? We will see less games like Half Life Alyx and more quick pick up and play-games. I'll still be sticking to my HP Reverb G2 pre-order, seeing as that is what the Oculus Rift S should've been. Doing a solid upgrade of my PC now, so when the headset comes, I'll be more than ready to play some intense, long single player games

With the updated cpu and screens, I kinda see that there are going to be Quest 2 exclusive titles in the coming years, gradually making the original Quest less and less relevant. I might be wrong though. Good update, but the whole "Mandatory facebook account login required, and we will be tracking you for upcoming ads" situation really off-putting.

That was incredible! What an amazing short! Great animation, and the action had me on the tip of my seat all the way! Good job to the team behind this. It was great to see a space battle from the imperial perspective as well. Gives me vibes to the Old Republic cinematic trailers, so damn good. I am more hyped for the game, but please please let there be more of these shorts in the coming weeks

Embargo got pushed to the 16th, so we have a full day of reviews before making a choice.

This looks pretty good.

1) What games are people playing on their Switch at the moment? At the moment it's collecting dust Nothing really interests me at the moment, but it'll probably change when I start my morning commute again. 2) What's the next game release you're looking forward to? No More Heroes 3, but I still need to see some gameplay (without Suda in the way) 3) How many people are actually picking up Super Mario 3D All-Stars on day one? I'm not, and I don't think I'll get it in the long run. I had a great time with all the games, but I don't have a need to replay them. 4) Which game are you looking forward to playing first? Speaking of other games, I still haven't booted up Fire Emblem Three Houses or Bayonetta 2.
