One thing about man city was their full backs were able to play high up the pitch a lot of the time, making a lot of stamina-stretching runs. I really don't think they'll be able to pull that off against Man U's more organised team. The goal-fests both manchester teams seem to insist on producing each week so far are always a welcome addition to MOTD, in any case.

^I'd agree with that. Kuyt's a fairly reliable player and I think he'd be better as a supersub rather than relying on the recently flakey form of Carroll.

MOTD paints an interesting picture. It seems the manc sides are utterly dominant, chelsea and liverpool looked vastly inferior in comparison and arsenal just looked plain lucky. (Brighton won again wooo! :P)

Yeah because paj makes a good point. On the face of it you guys are arguing about the pseudo-legality of chair knowing some/all characters, however in reality paj knows chair as a person, and as such it's not completely black-and-white nor completely fair to say that chair had an advantage. Chair didn't win so, ultimately, advantage is lost. Essentially, the discourse I leaped over is pretty much irrelevant. What I mentioned is something that I think can be claimed to be something that actually altered the outcome of the game.

Paj; don't worry what others say. The write-ups were interesting and it was a good roster of roles, just the length of time the game took really took it out of people is all. It's happened to many games, don't feel bad.

I'm sympathetic! It is a lot to do at once, regardless of how many people are in similar situations. Hopefully the coursework won't be too intensive -- and realistically the 2nd semester should be a lot lighter!
