City's group looks the most even -- arsenal's looks tricky too. Man U's is ridiculous, and Chelsea should coast. There's a separate draw for last 16 after they've been decided, is that right?

Raped. Just everywhere. SIGH I SUCK AT THIS GAME FFFFS*. (FOR FUCKING FUCK'S FUCKETTING SAKE)

Posting animated gif - classic hipster tactic.

I think I know who! He left a bad impression the first time I met. I ignored him wholely the 2nd (and last, I think?). Douche! I mean; if they don't see a problem with the person in question that you do, then is there really a problem? As opposed to divorcing the friend group too! Picking sides isn't what I mean. But i guess it's what I said :P

It's pissing it down and I've got to go walk 15 mins to a stupid "how to do a CV" thing the job centre has sent me on, despite my CV being good enough to get me a job anyway. It's going to be 10am - 3pm. Hoping I can get out sooner. What a waste of time. NOT IN MOOD.

BRHajsdg;pngp. Yes :P Sorry - didn't read title properly! Gold star for you!

Sorry, but there are nipples in that. Therefore it is completely excluded from all shitty-adverts competitions ever.

If I were in your position, Yvonne, I'd maybe wonder why mutual friends have remained mutual. For me, it'd have to be something fairly major to sever ties -- and surely something major would include others in some way. Otherwise I'd get paranoid that it's just me, or something.

Hmmm you're right. Champs league is going to be a big deal for them this year. But I'm concerned that that's primarily a money thing than a prestige thing. I.E. if wenger gets fired it won't be because he didn't win the trophy but because he didn't stay in long enough to earn more money, if you get me? I genuinely thing, though, that even if it's a win-less season Wenger will stay. The board would be stupid to lose him. I think he does the best with what he's got.

To refer to your earlier point, Ramar; arsenal may have Wenger -- and that's certainly a great thing -- but to say that arsenal will have no pressure? Surely the pressure is going to be far greater this season than others. I would say that next season people will have lower expectations (yet secret beliefs th at they'll do well) for arsenal, but this season the media spin alone will be a massive detriment. Arsene is facing the crossroads, and the team in general hasn't been this shakey in near enough two decades. I don't think you can brush it off lightly. Come christmas, I guess we'll see Arsenal will surely have a good patch by then, at the least. But certainly, they aren't looking as favourable as city, liverpool, and maybe even slinking alongside spurs, newcastle and villa :P

If it happens to me I'll ask them to hold while I get my twin brother, Marcel. Marcel is french. "allooo? Jess! Vwee haff ze addresh! Non? C'est important? DEUX mont perier drive nao. Oui. Non. Oui. MON PERE! GARCON! SACRE BLEU! ZE TROOPS ARE ACHT ZE WINDOOU!" And just ad lib from there.

I've clearly had a brain fart -- Bad Taste is the spiritual precursor to Braindead :P Low-budget, more mad, great fun.
-
Similar to what I was thinking... also along the lines of You know it was directed by Peter Jackson, of LOTR fame? Check out Bad Taste, the slightly-higher-budget spiritual seqel I saw Conquest of the Planet of the Apes on TV the other night - thought that it wasn't an awful movie - whilst it was very opaque about its messages, it still carried some impetus and made the mythos quite a bit bolder in my mind. POTA never appealed to me much - mostly because I knew the ending, but I guess I should get past that and give the movies a watch (like I know Paj did).

Aw. Well I won with meow! :P

Charlie you do us cult zombie enthusiasts a shame -- the movie is based on a book by Max Brooks, who also wrote Zombie Survival Guide (handbook?) (not as good). Kinda weird that loads of people are psyched because it has brad pit in, rather than it having zombies in.

changevote: no vote. Should learn basically never listen to esequiel and his paranoia in these games. rez/mr-paul seem most maff from yesterday. Diageo seems most set for today.

Totes agree with shorty - each game has refined down and seemingly listened to criticism. While I don't personally gel with the online mode (it's not something you can just drop into), it's great that they'd clearly invested time into it. Considering that the AC universe is clearly leading, at the least, to Desmond in the modern day, and with a fixed amount of those eden things that there's a finite timeline. The sense that the game is heading somewhere allows me to be more forgiving of the sandbox style (not a fan!), as the mythos seems very solid and extremely promising. The almost absurd premise that the game has adopted (aliens/future stuff) means that there is scope beyond perceivable timelines is still something risky... I'm sure it's smarter to stretch the game legend out this way than to get to the 'end' of the saga then, thanks the the business nature of games, be flooded with a plethora of tenuously linked games set in A City With Cool Buildings just for the sake of having another AC game. Y'get me, bruv?

I've had two shifts at my new job - both have been 10 hours or more, and I've mastered the task already. It's weird how a job that is rather stressful is also great fun and confoundedly easy, too. Also being a 'team leader' you earn automatic respect... which is nice. Came up with my own form of management for my team that meant I let my staff go super early, which means they love me and management love me as I'm saving them having to pay 10 staff for extra hours. Downside for tonight; finished at 00:00. No trains. Buses instead! Missed a bus walking to stop. Get to stop, realise I have no money. Walk back to stadium, miss a bus. Get to office and get a sympathy beer and bus money, then miss a bus on way back to stop. Got home about 01:20 in the end... But yeah. I've just had a nice bunch of luck come my way. Big Serious News is still in the works. Yeah. Hope is a powerful thing! Being a Nice Person totally works, too. The last couple of weeks, both friends and family have thought of me at just the right time. UPPER CASE SMILES!

Al Fayed quite clearly had a proper grope of Tara's breasts after that task. I've watched a few bits of this (self-surprised!) and I have to say that despite the original line up, there aren't many crazies and there's some fun and entertainment each episode. It's never going to be high-brow or a serious psychological/sociological study or anything, and is always a base, voyeuristic and thus slightly shady pastime buuut in C5's defense, it's not directly offensive as some of C4's latter series came to be. However considering C5's programme chooser person owns the daily star, I'm sure the actual normal-people show will be full of twats.

Never anything massively immediate or, clearly, memorable. I'm quite an understanding person, and it takes a fair bit for a friend to truly piss me off. If it does happen I'll 'snap' and be quite different and they'll know that they've surely done something wrong. But then also I tend to plaster over differences, and allow others a lot of character leeway. I find it's easier to process someone else's actions and explain them in my own head than it is to get them to understand how they are affecting me.

I think arsenal are in a catch-22 situation where they aren't green-lighted signing players with high wages because tehy can't promise any silverware... yet can't get any trophies without the big players. Man City are precisely where Chelsea were about 4 years ago - a couple of big-spend seasons that got them in top 6 but finally they seem to have found a balance and have the team to beat this year. Man U hold the edge currently simply because they have the balance between youth and experience.. and their youth are pretty experienced already.... and the team spirit at united is basically undefeatable. Morale at chelsea broke last xmas so I'll be interested to see how they do now -- again, another tangent, but I think united tend to do well with keeping media spin out of the dressing room. Torres being shit and drogba not playing (srsly wtf)... nonsense. YES. So brighton beat a strong sunderland side 1-0 in extra time for the carling cup. Brighton, in the league, have won 2 (including a win over portsmouth) and drawn 1 (against blackpool, after being 2-0 up), and are looking set to fight for a double-promotion (along with southampton, who have won all 3 starting games). Brighton have a good squad this year and it's just... insane to see them play so well! also norwich lost 4-0 to div.1's MK dons. I mean... lol, srsly?

Fish; hones*. Why the penis? Unless there's a new word filter I've missed... had two shifts now - 10 hour beasts. Getting to grips with it properly. Still signed on - just have to declare hours and any pay. After the coming sat I'll be going 23 days without a shift... So when I went to the job centre to update them of my circumstances they signed me up to two time-wasting sessions on how to write a cv and how to jobsearch. Complete... like, I've just turned up to tell them I have a job. Fuckers.

I was silenced during the previous phase (which coincided with some actual inactivity). I didn't send a PM last night (inactive). While reading previous phase it really seemed obvious that it was peeps and Rez that were maff to me. Not sure that a random redirect really seems all that complete a role - but do feel that maff are likely to be close to a victory. Vote: mr-paul. Claiming too many hmmm things.

Me too. Just started a new job with uber 11 hour shifts of knard... knackaredness. Been without internet for 4 days. Just generally being overwhelmed with the awe of lief! But hey, it's basically like this; all the delays will happen before the game start :P I'll petition for replacements when I'm fun and ready.
