  1. Was talking about Jonnas :P
  2. All I came out of that game was a desire to go hunt down some giggs youtube genius... But as for the rest of the performance? That perhaps the united squad isn't as deep as fergie would like, that despite there being a good bunch of youth that are relatively experienced, there isn't enough 'flair' going on. Overall I don't get to watch full games often, and MOTD highlights spoil me - 1-0 like that is duuull.
  3. ReZ; how did you acquire that knowledge? I'm cool with keeping the gates open on him, but I want to know I can trust your info.
  4. ReZ; read my post closely again. Jonnas may be the protector in the first part of the write-up. Just noticed - there's a new element to the write-up that I missed earlier!
  5. Divulging the theory would, if the theory is correct, perhaps endanger jonnas in the very vein that he is seeking to avoid. While we seem to have a good roster of potential maffs, the maffs themselves may have a good idea of who to go after, too. having weighted it up (and typed it out and deleted it twice), I figure I ought to share it. Sorry (possibly, depending on if it's true :P) Jonnas! The write-up contains two isolated incidents. A protector saved someone from a murderer in the first one. The second we see a killer take out tales. I believe that jonnas is insinuating he is neither killer, but instead the protector. It is the (potentially cover) story he is going for. If it's a cover, then there's an individual out there who knows he is lying (the true protector), however if it's true, then unfortunately we have two people that hte mafia may be after tonight - mr-paul and jonnas. In this situation the mafia will have the advantage of knowing whether jonnas is telling the truth or not (unless the two-maff theory is correct, in which case it may be of the same consequence to an opposing mafia to consider jonnas a target). Murray was a protector that the maff got the first night, which means we may be low on them anyway. Mr-paul targetted himself, which suggests jonnas can too - which means we may need to rely on an as-of-yet unknown helper to ensure mr-paul sees it through the night. So there you go. Effectively, we need to hope there's another secret protector who is able to remain anonymous for the rest of teh game, else jonnas's days are numbered. So what was 3 potential maff is now one most-likely, one not-sure and one even-less-so. In my eyes, anyway. Potential Doublepost: ReZ; you certain? If Jonnas really is a killer and not a protector then yea, he should come first. That is, unless you're in cahoots with heroijan (always gotta keep those logic windows open :P)
  6. 5 mins and we'll see ... dammit I try and predict things and telly tells me instead. Was gonna say we'll see the yellow-carded taken off, possibly.
  7. He had got a digital receiver of some sort. That is what's losing channels - analogue, as he says, is producing shitty pictures. Hopefully it's just to do with the transitional phase - but I have no idea about these things.
  8. I think the idea would be that, if the bottom two posts moved to the top of the next page, the third-bottom post would've had a longer exposure and thus be more likely to have been read. I think the 'go to first new post' button to the left of the thread title on the forum table is generally seen to be the best way of avoiding missing posts. If people are habitually clicking on 'go to last page' then... well they're noob forumites :P I've truthfully no idea if there's a vb mod that does as you suggest (ashley recently suggested that you peruse vbulletin's mod board to see if there's something that matches your requirement (as essentially that'd be what the admins here would have to do with queries like these)). Truthfully, though, I don't think applying such a mod would really be worth it, or alter much at all.
  9. Would recommend adding something like noscript to your firefox if you use stumbleupon too. Never know what you're jumping into!
  10. Because the way you play is hard for me to read as mafia or town, which is annoying! I'll live and let live. I'm a highly flawed player anyway. PEACE HUGS OF SURPRISE!
  11. Presumably just being saved for the wee---- lol giggs goal of awesome. More records eh? I wanted to come in and say that it's odd how benfica at home are playing so fearful. They know man U are strong throughout a match. The psychology of it all is hilarious. Game on!
  12. Votecount, pppeeeeeeeeppppzzzzsszszszszs @peeps, that is ... @The Peeps ? I can't remember! Oh I give up.
  13. This stage of the champs, especially, is where Fergie begins to work his squad magic. This match will be closer, edgier than man u's more recent affairs but there's regular-first-teamers on the sub bench that will ensure all is well by the end of the match. De Gea will have built up some good form/experience (x11 talk) from teh prem games and will feel more comfortable this game. Yeah. Not going to be an easy game. Season-wide tactics are in play! Rookie mistake - that's not de gea. Fuck you, multitasking!
  14. lolwhut?! That the digital changeover thing that we've had 5 years to plan for? My tv won't stop telling me to get ready to retune my tv in march 2012... Howcomeitsoborkforyou?
  15. Rowan; consider lending one of your trio-mates your password (change it first if you wish) for the period of time. Just be sure not to ask me to keep an eye on it. Don't ask ell about why, either.
  16. Having read the write-up, I can see what position jonnas is claiming to take. Not sure if keeping quiet about it is going to particularly make a difference to maff, jonnas. I'm sure they'll be able to infer what I have been able to. Diageo; the rhetorical question was indeed a rhetorical question. Congratulations. Shame it didn't actually bring any clarity to the situation whatsoever, hmm? Chair; yeah, I do see what you are getting at, but to me diageo's form of mafia playing isn't silent, and isn't often productive - if it is it's stodged out with far too much meandering and wastefulness.
  17. Thus, they're rather useless. Everyone will be thinking that sort of logic process. You're better off writing plainly what you are thinking, that way others can correct their logic if they are wrong, or correct yours if you are wrong. Rhetoric is a good discourse for tutoring. Not so good in team-based logical processes, where its inherent sarcasm and patronisation serves only to irk the team. I rarely understand why someone playing a mafia game holds their cards so close to their chest. It only benefits the mafia. Thus, they're rather useless. 18. Chances of getting both together? 1/x multiplied by 1/(x-1), where x is the total number of possible players isn't it? Sorta. Not accounting for deaths properly. Chances of getting the same percentage? 1/y, where y is however peeps has decided to decide cube's role works. Point of this post? z. Where z = the same value as the post above me. I remember why I find diageo annoying in these games :P Lots of questions. Nothing but questions.
  19. @Rummy here's my attempt to help you catch up (I always wish there were posts like these) - Yvonne is the bard, it's part of his role. - Aqui1a is suspicious because it has been uncovered that someone's name was hidden in the write-up, and aqui1a said it was his name. Anyone who targetted him saw he was a hideous person that stopped them from voting at all the next day. Aqui1a initially claimed his role was; if he targetted mafia, they would not be able to vote the next day, later changing this explanation when, frankly, nobody believed it. (I think that's right?) - Heroicjanitor has been investigated by mr-paul, and found to be evil. He is a redirector. - Cube lie-detector'd both heroijan and aqui1a, and found them both to be guilty of constructing posts with 80% lies. - And now, eenuh has posted that, after being redirected by heroijan to jonnas, jonnas was seen with a bloody sword. Amidst that, heroijan was kinda defending aqui1a, and also insinuated that it is likely there's some sort of bad bunch of knights perhaps rogue (pointing out there are two killers - one each night, and as seen in the latest write-up, both killers are present, but one is roleblocked or whatever). However, considering he is a knight, and his evaluation is 'evil', perhaps tehre really are rogue knights :P He insists he, along with being a redirector, merely appears evil. Personally I suspect there may be two groups vying for control. Whether there's one neutral or not I believe all must be disposed of.
  20. So now we have jonnas looking dodge as well? Sweet.
  21. Actually it looks like 1st night's killer was in teh first paragraph of tonight's write-up, but were prevented from making the kill. Yes, two killers. Likely that there's one maff and another neutral/vig, however it is impossible to say whether these "in the name of the king!" guys are maff or vig, and considering you lollingly just said; Now, it may be minor semantics, but still, you're not helping our case currently. I would also say that trying to defend aqui1a just suggests to me that you're in the same boat as him. I'm worried there are two factions here, fighting over control of the town/castle. We may as town have to be careful because both parties may be trying to pin all blame on the other...
  22. When I had my last job, life was in general more organised and efficient -- having more structure to my day meant I pretty much had to get shit done when a free slot turned up. These days with shifts so sparce, it's generally a case of leaving things 'til the last possible minute, simply because there's nothing to do tomorrow, anyway. I'm a bit of a night-person, too, but the danger is it makes me less sociable. I'm aware that when I'm up late morning/afternoon and going downstairs I'm being sorta judged, and the timing of the things I want to do mess up with my dad and step-mum, who I live with, and I don't want to tread on any toes. I also basically live on my bed. It's not good practice in a lot of ways - your sleeping place needs to be reserved for one (or two :P) roles in your life. By sitting/laying on bed and watching telly and surfing the net, it makes getting to sleep trickier because you don't just associate bed with sleep. My excuse is the layout of my room. There's not really a lot of standing space, and my desk doesn't face the telly, and I have to sit on the bed to play games... :P Oh, and my desk is a mess, too. This has happened towards the end of my lease in every place I've been. Just putting sorting my shit out off because hey, in 3 months I'll be packing it all up and shifting it, I can sort it then, anyway. Anyway, sorted out a whole bunch of stuff. Still what my girlfriend would consider "really messy" but to me it's miles better already. tl;dr: Accidentally my everything.
  23. Looks like we have two strong candidates today! Make sure people are protecting cube and mr-paul tonight, mmhk? Vote: Heroicjanitor - easily swayed to t'other if need be.
  24. We should get 18 points at least between me and ell, so just survive and we'll do good! :P
  25. the horrors of /b/ are just too depressing these days, so I go to Reddit a few times a day for a dose of time-passing humour, .gifs and interesting things to read. Yesterday Bear Grylls was on there doing youtube responsise for an AMA (Ask Me Anything), a 4chan mod did one too, which led to me perusing moot's old AMA, loading up his transcript when he stood at trial for a witness (having to explain to the jury terms like "oldfag" :P), visiting the 4chan archive. Reddit has a good mix of image- and text-based stuff which is perfect for the adhd-riddled internet user of today. I also have taken to having a puzzle book nearby, and tend to do a crossword/whatever when adverts are on telly. When you're in that mood where you actually have books to read, games to play, tv to watch, yet too bored to invest in any fully, I do find the above helps.
