  1. Dan; is that a dig at the Roebuck? :P Just got a great Word Challenge score, so yes, I continue to maintain my slacker ethic. Now I have 40 mins to shower, clean up and get to the train station. NOT HAPPENINGAAAH!
  2. Those vids won't load for me
  3. haha :P Posted it on my facebook saying "tag yourselves BEFORE I TAG YOU"... I thought that was amazing!
  4. Dude. It's not over. You were drunk, you didn't know she was interested. She might be MOAR interested knowing that you're not pining after her, or just hanging around. Don't rush it, just take your time and wait and see before you get all pent up about it. it's not over until you KNOW it's over... and you don't know just yet You're young as fuck. The way I base my life is upon the vague model my dad left me; he didn't find the perfect partner until he was 37. He didn't get the job of his lifetime until he was into his 40's. You can either despair for a few decades until you hit that point, or you can just fucking enjoy yourself -- and enjoyment doesn't come from keeping a tally of all the girls you've fucked, and it doesn't come from doing what all the cool kids do. It comes from being yourself, finding like-minded individuals (which is a harder task, but once that happens then at least you're more likely to find a like-minded girl) and making sure you at least LIKE yourself, be it through self-improvement, self-maintainance or self-exploration. Don't ever feel like you've finished, or that you're done and that who you are is who you will be defined as in your life. You can change at any point. Your main stresss, from what I've heard, is still living with your family. That won't last forever. Keep on working at it and you'll get a job, a small horrible flat to call your own and things will build from there. And MOST OF ALL! Never think that just because you know people with bigger, worse problems than yours does it mean that you aren't allowed to whinge :P I'm a firm believer in sharing your problems, no matter what the size, because you will be surprised which friends come out of the woodwork to offer their help. Be good.
  5. Dollhouse e6 DEFINITELY BETTER. None of this 'thing OF THE WEEK' bullcrap; some actual substance and an actual universe construct that appeals and enthralls. I was really starting to get worried about this show, and finally there's some evidence of a creative force besides the broadcasting network, and now I will actually be anticipating with eager furure each episode, for there is PROMISE! YATTA! :P Supernatural s04 e16 The MAIN problem with this show is the limited cast that it has behind it. While the show has no doubt improved a lot over the last two episodes, the old golden promise of inspired season-after-season is quickly in need of a smallville-esque savior to shunt the story direction someplace different that says anything novel besides "hey, we're in it to make money so we're going to plug this for as many seasons as possible!" Supernatural has a great premise that seems to get wrapped up amongst the detritus too often. The odd gem of an episode that equates to Buffy's silent episode, or x-files' Jose Chung's "From Outer Space episode... But too often the show resets straight back to the ol' ~of-the-week formula. As I say; there is a hell of a lot of potential in the future of this series. if they get teh guts to unshackle themselves from the status quo then they can really let rip with some genius story arcs... but, as with any fantasy show, they rely on budget constraints, so it's not likely. I'm always in two minds about Supernatural. The 'gem' episodes are genuinely brilliant, but too rare. The storylines are genuinely awesome, but too padded out. Quite honestly, despite this great episode; season 5 (which will undoubtedly come to fruition) really, really needs to kick the fuck off with some stereotype-shatterying stuff, as it is getting old. (just to reiterate; this episode was one of the best of the season, the season looks set to get even more awesomer, but I'm just worried about future seasons, perhaps unnecessarily :P) 30 Rock? To be honest... Getting old. Sure, I enjoyed the wacky humour to begin with but... Well I've not laughed at any episode as much as the pilot, and that's not good. Arrested Development did teh whole "this is almost natural!" scenario a hell of a lot better. This just feels hugely circular and neverending. I mean Friends at least tried to progress and offer a different dynamic each series. 30 Rock has been the same each season to no massive effect. Siiiiiiigh. Smallville Jimmy's clearly been to the gym since he was last on screen. This episode was surprisingly devoid of clark, and it paid off fairly well. Retrospectively, the whole lana storyline as a filler arc was actually quite a top-quality filler line. This episode promises lots, and in ways that make future episodes extra promising, but of course the episode itself was fairly lack-lustre in strength... but the season is clearly a winner. We have a few episodes left and it looks like the majority will be very rewarding indeed. Definately one of the best, if not the best Smallville seasons to date.
  6. I will admit, I haven't read the other opinions of this last episode, but my two cents, simply; The episode is so easily flawed. Much of it was 'epilogue' and went way beyond the teary finale I thought it would be, but, for what it was, it was simply one of the best episodes of TV ever. I watched most of it with my hand over my mouth, and I couldn't've guessed any outcome at all. I smiled, I got teary-eyed, I shouted at the screen, I raised my fists in cheer... A very suitable ending that served the balance correctly. My weekdays simply will not be the same without this to look forward to once a week. One of the finest shows ever to grace our TV sets, from beginning to end, and I genuinely feel rather damned honoured to have been able to watch it.
  7. GOOD MAN! I bought this and Poyaanisqatsi for, like, £3 just because I liked the names and I just adore Koyaanisqatsi. The sequel is alright, the third film less good, but Baraka and Chronos are other films you will want to check out if you like any of these. But yes. Koyaanisqatsi... genius. Was such a surprise to watch it, I don't think I'll ever experience anything like it again.
  8. I'm back into mash-up. Legion of Doom is a stern favourite, but I've just discovered DJ Zebra who does some seriously brilliant mashes of propellerheads/beasie boys, white stripes/prodigy. Partyben is an old favourite but not enough beatz....
  9. "oh my days..." Met up with ex. Went to leeds. Had some (non-dirty) fun. All my friends think I'm an idiot. Back home and shorty/nami are nowhere to be seen. But I went bbq/bonfire with some mates. Now I thunk I'm drink and I got about TWELVE shows to watch tonight along with only 5 cans so I maybe predict more alcohol and depression. Tomorrow may be awkward.I've invited my Ex over and she's going to stay the night before shifting back to brighton, only there's a pub quiz with mates that I want her to go to (she has brainz) but she always appears anti-social so people won't 'get' her... and stuff. Yeah SHH NOW JAMES SORRY! In all fairness, I blame reggie. He sucks. But you can blame me. I can make things right with xbocks. I have a very frequent argument with a friend. she calls it a BREADCAKE. WTF IS WRONG WITH HER! A roll, bap, bun... all fine. 'cob' is a bit extreem, but... breadcake?! wtf!
  10. So take me off the fucking list :P this clearly isn't going to happen, and clearly I'm just going to borrow from shorty ^_^
  11. That's amazing. Shit, I could be SO EFFING RICH if I'd known :P I nearly always get my predictions right. Niiiice!
  12. I've no idea what you're talking about. Just put me on a damn list. You realise if I'm the only one purchasing, I ain't sharing it with noone.
  13. I'm pretty sure Shorty owns some Invincible, and I think Dan just bought vol.2 ... But I'm up for it. Sign me urp!
  14. Wait -- How do you bet on games?!
  15. Man. I was kinda awake at like 10am because I couldn't stop thinking about this being a matchday, but I didn't want to get up and end up fucking about with my tactics. I set a crazy formation to combat Dom's. 2-2 away so I suppose I should be happy, I suppose, but from now on I believe I've got six toughies in a row where I'm going to struggle to get any points whatsoever, my team is depressed and my best player out still. Madness!
  16. I hate it when your nose starts running when you're brushing your teeth. Very hard to prioritise.
  17. One thing that is a bit of a niggle; if there was always that pic of '77 in the recreation room, how come nobody noticed it before... or did they? I also wonder if Ben recognised any of the Losties the 'first' time he encountered them. All very odd.
  18. Yeah, I'm feeling the 'soap opera' vibes, the writers definitely overdosed on the OC. I genuinely adore Landry, but... lots of unnecessaries. Season 1 was good enough for me to plug through season 2 for whatever gems I can find, and it was writer's-striked so it's, what, only 15 eps long. Other news; While I've kinda left Eastbound & Down to ReZ and other Will Farrel fans, another new comedy is out; Better off Ted, which, again, I know very little about. It has Portia De Rossi, from Arrested Development, and I think it's from the guy responsible for My Name Is Earl (not enturely sure though) so I'll be back with details on that later.
  19. *repeats what Daft does* £80 is next to nothing. If anything, ask your parents to pay for it, then work out on average how much each lesson will be, then give them that much each week. If you're unemployed then they'll realise that you have no money! You need to see what sort of qualification the course is, though. On the one hand if you learn some japanese then it's good for you personally, but if you get a jazzy bit of paper (OR CARD!!!!) at the end of the course with your name and a few fancy letters on it, then even better for your pal C.V. Have you noticed anything different yet? I suppose you'll have to wait for it to feel settled and comfortable to really notice.
  20. I realised he was british the other day when I saw him doing an interview to promote Law & Order: UK (oh dear...)
  21. Man. Head seriously hurts. I've thrown up this morning for the first time in well over a year and all I'm puking is the water I drank when I woke up, so it's just silly! Got Live to activate on my xbox at some point... but hangover means I'll probably trip back to bed shortly... NURG! On extra page? :| That's no bid deal dude. Is it? I dunno.
  22. Friday Night Lights second season, for the first three episodes at least, is the most annoying thing I've seen. I was literally shouting at my screen over a lot of the things. Many of the characters are massively altered purely for the sake of a few storylines, and a fair few of the secondary characters are missing. The Landen (LANCE!... lol I dunno how to spell his name) thing is interesting. Besides teh whole inevitability. Mexico's taking its time, too. I'm only on episode 6 so far, so we'll see. Stoopid forums... *looks around innocently*
  23. Anyone watched The Last Frakkin Special yet? I'm still downloading it.
  24. ^ what he said, only I'd probably offer you a beer (cider) as well.
  25. handed in my SHITTY FUCKING ESSAY. seriously; it will be THE worst score I've EVER received. Mates bbq had, liek, no guests besides us so we had some chicken and talked shit. He filled me in on some of the lessons he'd learned from Angel, that odd pick-up artist who claims to be able to score any woman, and the 'ladder theory' which actually makes a HELL of a lot of sense. Also... Kinda.. made plans to meet my ex on friday. Not good. Not good at all. This can surely only end in pain and misery but... fuck. I don't know. I simply cannot explain it to anyone in any way that they'll agree it's the right thing to do... so I guess it really is the wrong thing to do. But I'm still doing it. It's going to be the biggest day of my year so far and nobody else seems to notice this, so, uh, yeah. Out. Back now. Not 1k yet but I'll still miss it. First person to post on the 1k mark gets... er.. a hug? I dunno. LOOOOL!
