I'm sorry but you don't go out with the intention to break the law, nor the expectation. The kid has taken responsibility -- it's not like he's blaming the world for his problems, or claiming it was someone else, is it? The problem I have with your argument is "you must be ready to take responsibility..." and the general vagueness of such a term. How is one 'ready'? Is there a line drawn in the sand-desert of 'Potential Things That May Happen When Drunk"? Tied in with the "0-60" that ashley and I mention above, which are highly relevant to this point we debate over, even if you knew where the line was, you'd not know when you were about to reach it. When I am drunk, I do get away with more things because I am drunk. That's a very generalising statement you make which, if I were to formulate a concise answer, would make me seem extremely nit-picky. ETFC. You will not be as conservative once you are older and beer-bellied.

How long have you played it for? The first 20 hours I was kinda playing in a really frustrated way... You know, you can lower the difficulty at any point (at the cost of getting less EXP, but you'll find you reach MAX level before the end of the game anyway) without missing out on any achievements... I ended up playing over 80 hours. It's a brilliant game, you're just doing it wrong.

My 2nd team is kicking ass won 5-1, got 5 players (and manager) in the x11, 3 points off top but my next game is against one of the bottom teams, and the top two are playing each other. 3rd place at the mo! Woop

I fucking love arabesque music. Wish I wasn't too lazy to go find some vids, but basically Jah Wobble = wintastic. There's a lot of dub-meets-arabesque, too, which is like ear food.

^What nightwolf said. I dunno if you still have my number from the meet last year, but feel free to give me a text if you want a proper look at the city. I don't mean the opium dens and whorehouses (yet), but just generally where shit is, where not to go, how not to get lost, etc. Give me a PM if you want my number again. Yeah but you don't magically get as drunk as the drink you're downing -- it takes time for it to take hold of your SOUL. Nights like carnage kinda promote quick and heavy drinking (the main focus of the media's anger, not the public's), and, seriously, I've been there; you can go from stone-sober to utterly paraletic in 30 mins and once you've had the in-take, there's fuck all you can do about it. I think the people taking the picture probably goaded him on - took advantage of his diminished mental capacity. And I think the lashings the public are dealing out with their comments -- "they should bring back hanging for scum like these" and the like -- well didn't we 'invade' Iraq to stop that sorta shit (Hussein's death irony aside)? Maybe we should just feed all sacred monuments with electricity and let 'honour' run its own course. I think there should be 'diminished responsibility'. There's no way it's fair that he should be punished the same as a sober man doing it. Frankly, even I would be offended if a sober person did it because that implies intent to offend, a most heinous crime in my eyes. If someone sober did it and got the same punishment, there would be an outcry of unsatisfied nutters. The student (a mere idiotic 19) did nothing illegal to get that off his face, so he shouldn't be punished for that. You could argue that it's the government's fault for allowing such excessive drinking to even occur (but no! Don't follow that sort of mentality. Freedoooom!)... and so on, and so on.

Haha! Love it. Carnage is an utterly ridiculous excuse for a night out. It starts at 7, and the time I went there were people passed out drunk by 7.15 in the first bar. The article itself really isn't that bothered that it was a monument dedicated to the lives of blah blah blah -- no, it's more interested in saying yet another classic example of the binging youth of today. The whole thing can fuck right off. It's a bit of piss. No damage was done. He was out of his mind drunk, ffs.

I demand that either silverdale or noodle change their team name so that we can all have unique titles :P --- I think ReZ has managed his team really well, with a good balance of ages. I still think I'm uneven. That middle league's going to be a fun place to be, here's hoping it gets to happen!

And so it is done! In the end, I'm 6 points adrift. -1 goal diff... I deserve it. Congrats Ell I think you've beaten me 3 out of 3 now. I hope we don't alter the league systems and have me still in top flight, because I wanna be a mid-league contenderr! In the end, Dyson earned Villan the title! If Gaggle had won, the goal diff would've tipped him ahead of roo. Some emphatic victories in the middle league - Party at Richters is probably the worst team I've ever seen. Eddage and Shorty should be ashamed of losing to them. The three teams staying in the middle league should be very afraid :P Oddy's team are looking very efficient, and I'd say they're capable of putting up a good fight... And while ReZ has become my neo-nemesis, I'm sure I'll win the next season easy :P (nice name change cube, btw)
