Ye speeks troofs. Hot Girl At Uni, Hot Girl At Work, and Dan's Moderately Attractive Tree Stump At Uni, then? In fact, I think I'll have to de-grade (oooh yeaaah) Hot Girl to just This Girl At Work, considering I have pledged my faith to her, but she has refused allegiance in return. First two weeks of job was a 'work trial' that the 'centre got for me. I was essentially working for £3ish an hour that the 'centre paid me via the dole money.

Slaggis; Hope you feel less down soon. TV marathons are a nice way to avoid reality, and I for one used to basically strap myself in for the day/night and hope that by the time I'd run out of distractions, I would feel different, if not better. Oftentimes that would be the case, or another distraction (social or otherwise) would take its place. Your trip will be good fun! I think the interesting thing will be how you feel when your train rolls back into Sheffield after it's all over. -- As for my day -- apparently I missed a meeting with my presentation group at 2pm today... though I'm pretty certain I said I couldn't do today but could do tuesday. I am efficiently broadcasting myself as the idiot I seem to be, so really I need to do some hard-core reading and prep-work on wednesday to shock them back into respecting me. Newbs started at work, paying me mad respect for being all awesome. Or something. Well anyway, some of the middle-management are giving me testier things to do (tidy aisles... lol) that at least shows they trust me to not fuck up. They've also promised to train me on tills tomorrow, which ought to mean I'll keep the job. The manager also said she was impressed with something I said to her last week -- I noticed some of those army men-in-a-tub things that are in Toy Story, and said to her that the films are being re-released and it would be smart to get them on the shop floor. Initiative, innit? Also some bloke from the job centre came in while I was working to see me. They want to give me more money. He asked me how I got to work, and how much it was. I said "oh, between £1.40 and £2.80. It varies depending on the d--" "Let's just make it £3, eh?" "... Right. Sure! Er, th--" "And we can give you money for your lunches, too. Shall we say another £3 for that too?" "B--" "Ok, that's great. You'll get £60 into your account by thursday. Ta-ra!" ... Madness. Yeah ok so that's a pair of boring pargraphs... I am such a fuck-up, tbh. Managed to lose my letter from hospital about hearing aid. Also a kinda-crazy girl I know (to those in-the-know; Lil' Jen) just told me she loves me, and she's such a flirt I don't/can't take her seriously... but she's such a nut that I can't be sure. Best to just avoid that, methinks. Also I need a haircut. Anyone still reading who has any ideas? No? Darn. I trademarked Hot Girl. Get your own term!

Yeah mate, you really need to, y'know, realise it's only a game :P The carpet we played on was good for the pedal too - no slipping around, and no ankle-breaking need to press your foot all the way to the ground. That each part of the kit made a different sound as you hit it was great, as well, but from what I could tell the actual drum game thingy-wotsit was easier on GHWT than RB. But more fun to play, due to cool kit. As for teh dai?! Up and should be leaving naow for work. Not looking forward to this shift, and my headphones are broken so it's not even going to be a slightly enjoyable walk. Bleh.

Well, yes. My undestanding is that negro is a bit too close to 'nigger', which means a lesser being (or something, iunno). Back 'then' it was more offensive to be called 'black' than 'negro', but I'm no pro on the subject so don't quote me on this.

Well went for pub luch at Fagan's - seriously one of the best pubs in sheffield by miles (slaggis - check it if you can), then went and played Guitar Hero World Tour (the drums are waaay better than Rock Band's), then went bowling with the work crew, had 5 pints while there, and won 3 of the 4 games - came 2nd in the 4th by 2 points, and only because I went for a cigarette and they bowled me a 0. Then went to pub quiz a bit late, but my mates scored really well, yet we still didn't crack the top 5. Dammit. Got work at 10am tomorrow, and really feeling boring/depressed/lame, so not looking forward to it/the world/life/anything at all. Bleh. Oh yeah - and my housemate is making mead. I had a couple of sips worth; it's still fermenting and quite honestly it tasted like I had 2 50% shots. Wowsers. It's going to be damn fine when done, though.

Ok so I'm not here for long -- my headphones are fucked. Trying to listen to a TV show all I get is teh background music. It's very surreal, but goddammit it means I need to buy new headphones. Er, on topic? Went to town and met Dan and Co. Had some drinks, went some places, danced some silly, now I'm home and eating a curry. Tomorrow is reading day! Woot!

I'm living in my overdraft. Currently about £150 adrift from rock bottom. By the time payday rolls round I'll probably be at the bottom, then from the £600ish i get paid there's £300 towards rent, £50ish for bills, then £150 to live on and £100 towards clearing the overdraft :P My overdraft currently extends to 2010 then I go in and say "I'm still a student!" then, the plan is, get it extended to 2011 which should, hopefully, be enough months worth of £100 to clear the OD and then begin LIFE!!!! ... My housemate just got an £18.5k (plus commission) job. By the time I'm at £0.00 he will have saved about £2k easily. It's a long slog.

I thought the score shouted "distinctly average" for an IGN score :P The review mentions the repetition, teh poor combat sections. Just had a look on metacritic (shoot me now) and IGN's is pretty much the highest score the game got. OXBM gave it 45... Seems apt to join the 'middling, rentable' series of games we have, like kane and lynch, dark sector, fear, prey, the darkness... yeh.

No work today! Weekend off. Diary fail. Old pal who lived with us in halls is visiting for the day, but unfortunately he won't get to see a lot of the other halls mates as tehy've got plans. Tonight is Dan Dare's party to celebrate the impending anniversary of his escape from his mother's womb, should be schwa. Been invited to go bowling with the work lot, initially by hot girl so I think she's over the panic and we can settle dust and jive talk, moon walk, bean stalk. Or just bowl. I want a bath. I have a bath in my house and I've not used it yet! Not had a bath for years.

Yeah, I think I was trying too hard I'm doing a wesley and remembering why I'm here! Last night after long hours at pubs, the police pulled up on my swagger home. They asked me if I was a student, I said "kinda," then they asked where I'd been, I said "Roebuck Tav! Good there." Then they said "ok baiii!!" and drove off. Today I had a shift at work, innit, with hot-girl-that-turned-me-down. I was feeling all "fair enough she said no, my soul hasn't been shaved, it wasn't as heart-exploding as I thought rejection would be" and just generally chipper and As Per, but she was clearly having Odd Head Stuff; trying not to be too smiley with me, while also trying to remain at the level of 'friends' that we currently are. I feel bad, but I found it quite funny. ANYWAY. If someone messages me on facebook while I type on here, it does a sort of thing where I can't type in here unless i click away then back again. Haden, you make it hard to type in here :P BWAHAHAHWEH... ehe... eh... Bleh.

Yeah, walking's the same as sitting down, isn't it? C'maaan! Exercise is ultimately burning the g'damn fat ye got. Do enough walking and you'll do that. At work I'm walking lotsandlots, and I've honestly lost weight just by doing that, and my stamina has increased (takes longer for me to start sweating...) so walking is exercise.
