  1. I say, this all sounds rather spiffing, old chap. I'll join the list of scallywags if it's not a bother! Pip-pip!
  2. I've been more suspicious of the people who have been quick to vote, like mcmad, than paj at the moment. Considering we clearly have two killers out there and Dark Blue isn't one of them, and we have solid info somewhere... my guess is that yellow could be in a mafia themselves and aren't willing to reveal their position during the day when tehy know they can talk behind the scenes and sort things out at night.
  3. ReZ; don't do a three-parter! No. Don't. Just whack them together for somethingelsealtogether.
  4. RHCP (Stadium Arcadium was teh failpoint), Zebrahead, oxide & neutrino, artful dodger, sugar... i forget their name. sugarcreed? I dunno.
  5. An expected defeat (though I hate it when my opponents use bruise!!), with a few shoddy performances. Three games in and I have 3 players on 11 dev. form already!
  6. I have to admit I was pretty annoyed with this game. I loved being part of a trio of dudes, but I loved more the wicked power Cobb had been given and was very eager to utilise it, as it's essentially THE role I've always wanted but never had... Then I get recruited and then killed stupid quick. Bleh.
  7. I'll look into it for ya
  8. Just to say that I am still geared up for this, and yes thursday is when it happens, fingers crossed!
  9. What's with the centering?!
  10. Just the usual drinking-in-public thing. Police officers come by (usually the fake ones) and ask us to pour away the opened container. They know we have more booze and are really doing it for face-saving purposes. Last night a copper came into the pub we were in and asked us if we knew where teh GFC on church road (the road we were on) was. Nobody in the place knew of any kebab places nearby, only as he left I remembered there was a GFC on the church road in Hove... Bit of a trivial anecdote, but just humorous nonetheless.
  11. 'Kin hell, guys. Best of luck to you JonSt. That would horrify me. And you too, moogle. Couldn't imagine it.
  12. Sheikah got pwnd :P This thread makes me want a cigarette each time I scroll past it.
  13. Yattaaa! Two early wins makes this season potentially more comfortable than last season's down-to-the-wire nail-biter. Got two players on 9 dev value already, so I've got high hopes for another good change report. Sold a striker that was really a 22-5 rather than the suggested 7. Got some funds in teh bank (10m!!!) but... not really sure how to spend it whatsoever.
  14. rubbish. You said it would be daily! If you can't think of anything just stick the camera on and upload whatever you record. And that's still not 'stupid long hair. I had a hair-cut a few days ago and my hair is still longer than that!
  15. Looks very 80's B-Movie. Which is awesome.
  16. Yes please. I'm imagining one giant game of Reservoir Dogs proportions.
  17. Perchance can someone with my number text me the results today?
  18. Perchance can someone with my number text me the results today?
  19. Ok, that's 19 so far! Despite what I said to rez, my internet may not be back by this weekend. There's an engineer for one of the house lines coming round this afternoon, but the other, usually more reliable line isn't being sorted until next thursday...
  20. My mafia will start, but currently experiening some really annoying internet issues (two phone-lines in the house, one died last week, came back, the other died, now both are extremely tempermental). Engineer(s) are coming round tomorrow/thursday so I'm hoping to start it on the weekend.
  21. We all set for it? This weekend, if all goes well! Having a lack of internet combined with a strangely busy week.

  22. I'm still here, I just go out at weekends and come home too drunk to pay threads like this the attention they deserve! Y'see, I'm still convinced that lucario's power switches the target's targets, if you get me, which is why I still distrust peach, because, y'know, she broke my face in.
  23. Lol. I secretly love the original, despite la roux's utter-shite xmas-day performance, and the DMC/Bayonetta stuff... Yeah. Love the song. The remix adds to the song, no doubt, but it is too subtle for me. Comes across as afraid of really fucking with the track. I've not heard danger at all before, and, if anything, the OTT 80's-movie-soundtrack feel isn't really my taste. I don't like shoulderpads, and this song sounded like you had to, by law, wear them in order to dance. As for the OP; Legion of Doom. I cba touting them again, because I think everyone who could be intersted has already heeded my words.
  24. Lol I realise I said kidby when i meant kirby throughout my post :P Many of the older discworld fans were, like me, drawn in by the old artwork. I would say that while the newer stuff is definitely brilliant it lacks the charm and individuality that the older work had - with kidby you could recognise the art, but with kirby there's a certain sense of ambiguity, a style that could by chance be mistaken.
  25. Grunchl Josh died, which is why from Night Watch the covers are more 'grown up'. Kidby was essentially a massive discworld fan who wouldn't stop hassling Pratchett and, luckily, was quite good at doodling. AFAIK Kidby was doing alternate covers for years before Kidby kicked it. The maps that came out were all kidby, as was the discworld portfolio, and many of the spin-offs, His designs inspired a lot of the... models. I forget the name of the company. Kirby's style was what got me into the books. They lend a charm that matches pratchett's tone, while kidby's stuff is pretty much too serious. Kirby's stuff, for example, moving pictures and soul music (you could easily argue are the 'earlier' works that you talk of) inspired the imagination. So yeah. I have to disagree!
