Jonnas; Dannyboy revealed the lighter thing when we lynched Tellyn I'm just confused because it said you stayed at home, but now I'm starting to think that that's just Dannyboy's way of beginning the write-ups. We can't assume that just because they stayed at home that they didn't later 'go out', perhaps.

Amendment #135: *self-flagellation continues*

Green's targets have been unidentified two nights in a row. Is this part of your role, Zell? nintendohnut; what did you get on diageo? I can't see anyone investigating Black on any of the nights.
-
Four killers?! FOUR?! All killed the same MAFIA?!!?"!£?!"$?"!£5v21 THEN SOMEONE ELSE KILLS DIAGEO?!!?" *head explodes* ... Anyway! Things are getting quite interesting now. Shame Jonnas and zell stayed at home use your powers, boys! Reading the other write-ups, I realised something; Tellyn's power made whoever targetted him appear brighter. Dark yellow becomes yellow, yellow becomes light yellow, light yellow became BRIGHT yellow, which explains why jonnas appeared as cyan in the previous write-up... What happened to bright blue? WHERE ARE ALL TEH COLOURS GOING

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (XBLA, PSN, WiiWare)
jayseven replied to Happenstance's topic in Other Consoles
Sonic fans are so lol :P But at least you have your hopes and dreams. -
Lol :P Well there's only so much dramatic irony that I can take.

Halving the time = win. Seriously. NOT ONCE did I check the slider thing to see how much I had left watch. That little difference makes the show much more easy to enjoy! Not the funniest so far BUT I'd gladly say the most well-rounded. I felt free to chuckle at a few points. Never do it more than 5-6 mins again mate. It works much better this way. Encourages you to be critical of your own material.

Just picked this up as it was only a tenner... Unbelievably fun. I was mildly - MILDLY overwhelmed at the very start, but since then, I've loved it. Had a few nigglesome control issues, but on the whole it's a really fun game to play. A cross between Zelda's level design/questing/fetching and Devil May Cry's hack/slash/c-c-combooo so far, only far more forgiving. I always like it when the move list is; SWORD THING X BETTER SWORD THING XX LONGER SWORD THING XXX SUPER DUPER SWORD THING XXXX ... yes. YES. Just hammer at the x button with the occasional B (when instructed) and I'm happy. Playing on apocalypse mode as suggested and I have to agree (from what I remember this thread was saying 8 months ago) - it's a good balance. Starting to not be afraid of the explodey-fire dudes now I've mastered the simple joys of RBing out of the way. ETC loving it.
-
I swear the boxart does it no favours. Loving it so far! ... No, really, that's the image google sent up for me when I typed in "Marks & Spencer new pour-on range." it made me laugh. SERIOUSLY M&S food is the best on the PLANET. TOO TASTY.

Might be moving, need help working out costs
jayseven replied to CoolFunkMan's topic in General Chit Chat
£450pcm between the two of you, yeah? That's very good. The worst electric/gas bill(s) I had in my house (with 5 other dudes) was £620 for the three winteriest months sheffield had to offer. That's around £107 each for three months, less than £35 a month. And that was in a house where the twats left the heating on all the fucking time. The rest of the year was cheaper than that. By my shoddy calculations that still leaves you with £30 a month, which gets you a standard internet/phone/tv deal if you want it (plus installation, etc). What's the location, mind you? In brighton a studio flat is upwards of £450 all by itself :P -
Yes, the person-the-badge-was-flashed-AT is NPC I'll try to make them (if they occur again, it's fairly spontaneous) quite obvious.
-
Two points for clarification; - The assistant in the 'stacks' is a NPC - The 'mutterer' bit is clarified ... Changed in the write-up. Sorry, again. Won't happen next time!

advancements in cyber warfare meant that any governing body smart enough and wealthy enough still invested in paper copies of all documentation. But clearly that came at a cost to the staffing. The robot's department insignia that would've sat either side of his head had long since worn away, but he still had the J7PD badge, safely stowed away in his side. He flashed the badge at a hume assistant at the DATAPOL office a few blocks skywards in his own building, and made his way down the stacks. A file was made on every man, woman and robot at conception or construction. Ah, here's the one he was looking for. He makes a note, and leaves quickly. ____ I forgot a paragraph SORRIES GUUYZ. *puts it in the main post*

Celebrating a 'Dark' day with an 'Edge' to it...

Happy birthday, you sexy bastards! -
(fixed a few spelling mistakes and coding that got lost in translation.) Smeagol; yeah, that's the point of my mafia :P Start with what you've learned from YOUR role in the write-up. Some people will, of course, have more info than others, but mostly it's a case of... play a few nights, see where it's at :P
-
Coming up with a role that you're proud of... is always dangerous :P They'll either die the first night, or be inactive, or, what is worse, is that you shape your entire role-list around one potential playthrough. Aaaah I sooo want my mafia to be over so I can discuss it!

Xpert 11 Season 15: On Your Talent Agent's Secret Service
jayseven replied to Haden's topic in General Chit Chat
high skill but low harshness means the risk can be worth it. You're right though! I barely got scratched so I shouldn't moan Mcoy; I had a striker who was AMAZING when a win-bonus was on... of 1m. Any other amount it didn't seem to affect him. The couple of seasons I had before I sold him were very expensive. I'm still putting my squad together - trying to get the skills I want in the areas I want so that, eventually, the tactics and squad I pick will have an actual significance! -

A file was made on every man, woman and robot at conception or construction. Ah, here's the one he was looking for. He makes a note, and leaves quickly. That Damned Preacher went home when there was nobody around left to ignore him. With no sun to guide him, he had instead learnt to time his retreat around about the time the smell of hard liquor and used pneumos began to linger. In his stead, the soap box was occupied by a hooded creature, squatting like a gargoyle. His creators deemed him the "paramount of science", and this came out in his extraordinary perception. Adam had located the two test subjects of his own, and waited silently as his first field experiment began. Dmitri felt odd. He was pleased to do as he was ordered, but something compelled him, spoke to him to act otherwise. As he dispersed from his masters, he ignored the turning he was supposed to make, and headed to the lift. He spoke, "Floor four-oh-nine." Nothing happened. Brow wrinkled, he tried again, "COMMAND: Floor four-oh-nine, computer." Still nothing. Even tapping in the numbers manually didn't work. Confused, he exited the lift, and went home, unable to think. A few minutes later, one of Dmitri's masters entered the lift, unaware of what he had just missed. "Four-zero-nine, computer." He waited the appropriate amount of time before inserting his USF (universal serial finger) directly into the controls to input the command. Still, nothing happened. He gave up. "Ground," and the lift whirred into life, but not before the Doctor's assistant, who was hidden behind a potted fake plant. made a few notes. As he headed out into the street, muttering about his severance package he somehow didn't hear the footsteps that squeaked as they followed him. He didn't hear the footstep's owner whimpering something about uselessness and sin over, and over, and over. The mutterer was going to bide his time, play it safe. The confusion affected more than one individual. The second one rubbed his head mercilessly, unable to shake the feeling that he had set out to do something a little different... Yet he found himself at the doctor's on the 13th floor - the red light district. He looked in the window, but he saw the man was just sat there, plugged into his HEUie. The doctor wasn't wearing the lenses, and combined with the foot-tapping he must've been simply listening to music. What an old, old man. He stood off to the side of the door in some shadows, ready to prevent the doctor if he ever left the apartment. But he didn't. Jeremiah always felt proud when he was doing what he was made to do. The extra weight of the individual inside him felt good. Secure. Safe. LOL, he said to himself. He had made his first robo-joke. The individual countained within the vast, barrel-like chest of Jeremiah put himself into hibernate mode, and recharged through the night. The lean figure looked tired. He was on the fifth floor of the atrium. Smoking was banned outside. He lit up, his zippo lighter sporting a jetski silhouette. A small joke between him and his friends. You can either be afraid of the water, or thrive on it. Down here in the wet and wild. he'd been looking for someone... something, and as he leaned out over the atrium, he realised he could see it, on the ground level below him. He saw a mosaic of digits and static as it wormed around a corner away from him with trojan determination. He pulled out a jammer, hit a few buttons for co-ordination - and the pulse stopped in its tracks. Boris saw that the shimmering thing was also emitting some noxious-looking gas. Worrying a little, he left. The journalist sat at his desk, smoking a geniune tobacco cigarette he'd pinched on a trip to the J1 colony when he wrote a story on the fallacy of corruption, or the frequency of competition, or something like that. He'd forgotten. Karpov I have contacted our source. "Dude! that's totally..." He reads the PM. "wow. Mind. Blown. Moses, tell your source thanks, we'll be back with more credits tomorrow night," Certainly. Karpov starts tapping away at his keyboard, only pausing to cuss at the relentless rain battering at his window. Up on floor 409, the pair were enthralled in a game of chess. One was, of course, letting the other win. "It appears there several attempts were made by individuals seeking... council with us tonight. I suppose it was of great fortune that we did listen to "That Darned Preacher." "It's Damned." "Sorry sir, my programming does not allow me to swear, except solemnly," he said as he overlooked mate in five moves and instead chose nf3 instead. "Not like we asked him to do this," the man playing white responded. "He just went and did it. We should count ourselves lucky. It'll be different tomorrow night. Mark my words." Outside, John stopped by a laminated tree, considering for a moment why such archaic objects were still so endeared. That's when he heard the muttering-- "This will make me useful. This is good. This is --" John's lights dimmed, his speech slowed down as he tried to turn, "End of... Sig...nal..." His mission complete, the killer squeaked away. "This is right. My master will be pleased. Very." Night 1 is over. Jonnas is dead. He was John, the Probot. 19 players remain. Chairdriver Cube Dan-likes-trees Dannyboy-the-dane Diageo Dyson Eenuh Ellmeister Gmac Heroicjanitor Maddog Mundi Nintendohnut Paj Meen Ah ReZ Smeagol The Peeps Tellyn Zell Sorry for the blip. realised I'd missed one part out!

I was in between internets at that time

My mafia last time round lasted like a month, but only 4 night phases, or something :P (This one won't be as bad). My next mafia will be much smaller, and smaller games are quicker and I think you can have more of them running at once because people are less likely to be confused if they're participating in loads, and people who missed out won't have to wait ages to sign up. But I don't see the need for the greed, bro! Enjoy the games that are on currently. I don't want to be in three games at once.
-
ReZ; I don't mean extra, that's just me being stupid But if the day wasn't re-opened, we would've gone into the night phase one man stronger.
-
We had an extra nightkill though, which would've made it like 4 v 4 (or 5 v 5). Then during the daytime we could make one of you vote for whoever we said, so really we had the majority. (I think, it's all so long ago, now)
-
Sorry, taht relaxation one.... I had to stop it. It really wasn't very relaxing to watch. People only ever whisper like that when they're, like, afraid of being caught. I dunno.

Xpert 11 Season 15: On Your Talent Agent's Secret Service
jayseven replied to Haden's topic in General Chit Chat
No, surely cheating would be? Bruise is effectively saying "I see you as a rival therefore I wish to injure your players so that you have a harder time scoring next week." It's in the same league as dirty tricks, on my eyes :P Bruise is good if you have players that respond well to bruise tactics, but it's like the greed quality - it's not worth it, really. But yeah, yeah, yeah, it's there and we can all use it :P I just feel like such a VICTIM *sobs* -
Basically, with one more of our mafia surviving, we'd've had a night kill then effectively a majority, as we could make one of you lot vote for who we tell you to, then with our 5 (4?) votes plus one other's (and anyone else who fell for it, I think we were considering setting tellyn up? I can't remember)... essentially leading to a night-kill and majority in the bag.
