  1. I have a request; When sending in your night PMs it makes it easier for the GM if you put your target IN the subject line. Rooting through loads of PMs isn't that time-consuming for me, but it would save time and mean I'd have to make less notes. Something like; [Mafia game]: Night [x]: Target: ... with any necessary role-specific further details inside teh post.
  2. And I'm not talking about my sex life. That'd be 6... The real question is are they twins or the same guy?! ... They're the same guy. I'm pretty sure that makes it way more awesome. Risking BBT so close to the end?! Madness. What did they he miss, though? The Wire for sure but perhaps would've taken too long. Though Lost surely would've been a lot easier.
  3. Smeagol; I really wanna try and give you some tips but a) I'm just starting mine now and I don't want to give anything away and b) Even though I think I've got the balancing right, I will only be able to tell afterwards.
  4. The 2-mafia thing is definitely going to be the mindfuck of this game. The question is, can we survive to the end or are we just the puppets for the mafia, each pulling our strings to find out who the enemy are? Feel a little sadder. Sadder.
  5. Fuckin' A! Changevote: Tellyn. Can't forget Dyson!
  6. I'm with moogle. I tend to have 101 things to do but none of them are what I WANT to do, and I'm unable to figure out what that is. I guess my BORED routine is; - Check facebook - Check forums - Turn on xbox - Look at games - Turn off xbox - Facebook/forums - Go for a cigarette - Facebook/forums - Look at clock - Buy some booze - Facebook/Forums - Watch Current TV Show I'm Spamming - Cigarette - Facebook/Forums - ETC. Shit, that's pretty much my typical day.
  7. Lies and slander. EDIT: LIBELLLL
  8. That's right! So get them damned PMs in!
  9. Yesh, please
  10. How about having a general anime, general movies, general music, general manga, general books, general etc thread for each genre, stickied in a separate 'Entertainment' board, with a smorgasboard of more focused topics gaggling about beneath it. Bigger stuff gets its own thread, mods are active at ripping, and the only neg that there's been about thread-rips wouldn't be a problem as there's no real chance for embarassment. Things like "your top 5 movies with boobies in" would get its own thread, but your "YO totally watched these seven films. 10/10132 for each. PEACE" would go in the general. Totally saying this here because it's what I believe we should do. What we should've done over a month ago. Come on you reds!
  11. That's just where I disagree. *shrugs*
  12. Yeah... Dyson's not grey, I'm fairly sure of that. Vote: Dyson
  13. Lol charlie :P Yeah lucked with that -- but you used bruise so it's fair! I think I've got a strong home advantage this season, so I'm confident I'll survive. Waiting on a couple of hopeful transfers, one 17 4 and the other 18 4, both forwards. Wanted a strong-skilled player to just slide into the side, but I didn't want to have an oldie, and the young strong ones seem to have a reputation of not being able to gel with my team. Just going to have to wait 5 seasons for my boys to mature! I'm expecting a win against fish next week, tbh.
  14. Putting words in my mouth!
  15. Never said they were. What's with all the scripting going on here?
  16. These days? Around 6-7pm with dinner then onwards. A beer or two with lunch (out) is fine. If I've had an epic night out and bought cans on the way home, I'd probably have half a can leftover that I'll have in the morning to curb the hangover. Special occasions, like hanging with old-skool mates and we only have THAT DAY... we'll drink from asap until ttyl.
  17. I never said it was a one-off. Yes I know she likes to put fake penises down her trousers. Yes, uhhuh, yes. The majority of westerners understand that gay-bashing is trollish. DADT is considered old and archaic, even by people running teh armiez. She points this out. She wins at life! I've always hated rallies because it's one person shouting things at a bunch of people that they already agree with. I don't see this as an act of kindness. Or a good deed. Because I care so little about it. But just enough to make these posts! I prefer my activists less bothered about aesthetics and prefer those who want actual social reform. I don't care for the army.
  18. Trying to send out PMs to people who haven't sent me a PM yet, but Internet. Is. Painfully. Slow. Patience, satanites!
  19. Jimbob; you look like the sort of person who has a very scary ANGRY face.
  20. Happy birthday paj! It's not all over just yet. Don't forget, as easy as it is, just how little of life you've taken in. Don't stop pondering. P.S. Chair took 12 minutes to post this?! Disgraceful.
  21. So the fact that she was dressing in mockery of the beurocratic route of argument is in favour of her seriousness? I thought she looked ridiculous, and she spent so long posing for pictures that it just reeked of stupidity. She's just hooked upon the right thing at the right time, because we all know how stupid the DADT 'rule' is. I just don't think her heart is in it at all. She lucked upon an easy target to increase her profile, tbh.
  22. I am laid back, but I have a very short fuse for wattlers. Unfortunately the first few times I encounter such ramblers I just let it slide, so they think I'm their best friend... then I snap! And tell them how they are Doing It Wrong.
  23. After what you've said; I'm surprised it's only 12! So I'm guessing the societies fair is in a couple of weeks? Dude, like, totally wait till that before you make up your mind. You're saying that, essentially, you have an interest in all of them, which suggests you have an ambition that you hope they can help you achieve. It's not 'til you ask their stall (usually committee members!) proper questions that you'll know whether they can deliver for you. But from the off, I'd say the 'japanese' society is not going to provide. When you go around the fair have certain questions in your mind; - How often do you meet? - What do you do? - Can I come along just to see what it's like? AND! - What did you do last year? Good societies will rave about certain occasions, disorganised ones may complain about the union not supporting them with what they wanted to do. Follow up with; - So can you do it this year? And if they say "hopefully" then AVOID. Because the 'problems' are internal to the society and not the union's fault. Anyway, you'll quickly evaluate which societies are more open to beginners (as you are) than others. They all claim to love them, but ultimately may not cater for them. Just be open about the fact that you want to develop your interests, and see how they sell it to you. And yeah - I don't think there's much point doing dance, rock climbing and gymnastics. The latter, especially, is probably for those who can rather than those who are interested. Besides, it's far too much to do all these at once. You will be physically drained from any one of them each week.
  24. Break them down into categories. Which are you considering because you've always wanted to try; which ones reflect your current hobbies or interests that you actually feel competent at? I'd suggest going for the one that you feel most defines you, that you feel comfortable at doing. I went for juggling and those people ended up being my core social circle. I tried teh Rock Society and they just went to the glam/mullet-rock pubs and clubs and wore black and talked about obscure rubbish. Similarly, some of those will be more demanding than others, time-wise. At Hallam, there's Mario Kart society where people turn up and play mario kart for two hours (srsly), then there's a Drama society where they meet up twice a week to practice and rehearse actual plays that they will perform in front of actual people. Then there's Jugglesock. We just met up at pubs and parks and drank and threw things. For some banal reason I've actually been sitting here for like 10 mins trying to work out which of those societies would be best, but really I'd probably not join any of them. Most important is I have no idea what any of them involve (and I don't know you :P). Have you been to/will there be a Society's fair?
