I think we should arrange an epic Harm's Way match for tonight/tomorrow night. If we can fill all 8 slots it'd be win! Who's with me? Say, 8pm GST?

Brilliant news Will make sure peeps be watching, yo!

there 's a small number of fans on here Where are you up to? I'm a few eps behind in the current season. If you like it at the start, it truly gets all WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUU around the end of 4 and the start of 5. I think 4 had some brilliant one-off episodes, too. You're in for a treat

If I had the money I'd be good. I hate shopping, so working on a frugal budget is especially annoying. I have to get things for; my dad, his wife, my mum, my sister, her husband, their baby, my girlfriend, our two friends, girlfriend's mum and dad and bro. She will say that I don't have to get them anything but I want to. Bottle of wine and a dvd for teh parents to watch is the plan. Aahrahrharh. Sorted only with mum on that list, and I know what my sister wants.

USA 5 - the last bit, remember the slide! take your time and slide under the swinging hammers. *gloats of time of 1:15:542* And I made two mistakes before that! If anyone wants a game on Harm's Way, or perhaps wants to snag that last achievement, add me and msg me. I'll be up for it in about 30 mins and hopefully for the rest of the day.

The word 'rape' effectively means unconsentual sex. In the case at hand, sex was consentual, but the lady was not aware he wasn't to use a condom, thus it went from consential to unconential, which in the grand scheme of things is not worthy of the FBI most wanted list, and is clearly a distraction that whatever governments are involved are causing in an attempt to villify an individual who has chosen to take freedom of speech to the most extreme that teh maxim allows, yet an extreme to which is naturally woven into every constitution in the western world. This 'rape case' clearly has no relevance to the leaks, which are caused by an american officer. Thus much of the liberal world sees this focus of defacing on the website's leader to be merely a distractive case -- but the point is that legally if he is convicted then, as a criminal, his website and anything under his dictation (which the leaks can be argued by good lawyers) should be discredited and overlooked. It may just be a character assassination - but HONESTLY - in the next generation of citizens, such an obvious subversion of human rights can easily be twisted and spun to produce a different result. The MAIN thing about the leaks is that it has the potential to cripple the west's unity - or, at least, the west's public's opinion of their leaders. The security scares are serious enough because what is supposed to be 'secret' is 'secret' to protect you and I. Countries protect us by witholding the 'truth' - that isn't the same as lying. They are there to protect us, and beurocracy and politics are pointedly not blunt in order to avoid international feuds -- yet these leaks threaten to break these unmentioned promises. On the one hand, it is easily argued that the best relationships are built on honesty -- but relationships of necessity, regardless of which party is in need, are built on politeness as much as anything else. These leaks will serve to break the west. Ideally we'll survive and evolve through this era of information; we'll preach trust in a different way and use such a new-wave philosophy to launch a new attack on 'the east.' Realistically? Who knows. We are just a labour force/voting party. Governments are mostly worried that they're not completely certain about voting patterns. Some may argue that the preliminary leaks cause nothing but a focus on playground politics. While this may be true, it at least forces governments to question their own morals. This is why I'm a fan of the leaks. They prove to the government that we are now aware of their dubious nature. I have no doubt that our secret service saves our lives more often than we could imagine, but I do not care to believe that we are needed protection from mere opinions. The less opinionated people are, the less you ought to trust them. if they are paddying to both sides then they must have their own goals. An individual, or a government that claims to be understanding of differences needs to be able to express this reasonably and externally. Otherwise my Star Trek future will never happen :P

Also, what breed is your hamster? You ever considered getting them a mate? Rodents are fairly similar with travelling, I think; it is stressfull and unnerving, but totally fine. Just be sure to give them a decent amount of bedding to burrow into, and plenty of their favourite food to allay any stress they may have. As you only have one hamster, she (a guess) probably sleeps most of the time, so try and let her sleep through it by having an opaque container. My mate used to transport her rats on short (1hr) journeys in her hoodie pocket, feeding it occasionally and just generally I just looked at this site and gladly it confers with me! One added bit is talking to the animal as it'll recognise your voice. Don't play with it, but talk to it.

The bird would then learn that if it wanted food it would just have to peck me. By inflicing injury on it, it would then have to decide whether the pain is worth more food. I've been chased by dogs in three different countries. 4 if you count Wales. :P

So I'm walkin' up the road, listening to my G's playing their tunes all up and attem like the way I get it and then BAM WTF IS HAPPENING OW THAT HURTS! Seagull! Justpecked my head! BAM OW STOPPIT YOU TINY YET SCARY LOOKING THING! That's my arm! BAM BAM OW OW STOPAAAAAA OK YOU WIN YOU WIN *throws half a sandwich at seagull and walks rapidly away from the scene* *looks back to see the seagul is still eating* *looks back to see the seagul has finished and is staring at him* *looks back to see THE SEAGULL IS WALKING QUICKLY AFTER HIM* *rounds corner and hides* I think it's because when I look into an animal's eyes I can see their soul, and their soul speaks to me. It usually says "we hate you." SO how about you?

I know nothing of birmingham nor of its unis, so I can't help you there, but another question is; which semester will you be going? Leeds is fucking cold in the winter. Course/uni info would be better to know. Oh, yeah; and leeds accent all the way. Oh, yeah; and leeds accent all the way.

Happy pooks, birthday! P.S. Wasn't goemon pronoinced gay-mon? You're gaying for pookie, C_F? :P (tbf we all are) -
TBH it should NEVER be up :P People erronerously think that a show's twists and climaxes should be free to talk about just because it was aired years ago. The correct manners is to assess who amongst the discussees hasn't seen it but wishes to watch it. I really wish I had seen Soylent Green without having heard the spoiler already.

Ok, Harm's Way is quite lacking single-player. Most fun to be had is in the turret. You can't get upgrades/downgrades in single player so that actually makes a few more of the achievements online-only - or potentially offline. Both games are quality party games!
-
Harm's Way achievements are a lot easier. The two multiplayer ones are simply host a game and join one - and for the hosting one you literally just have to make a lobby. The rest all look easy enough to achieve. Nobody seems to be playing it though! Can't find a game to join and nobody's joining mine. Onto the single player then!

Just had some great fun on Crash Course with SCG! He had started before me, and so I was aiming to not just gold but beat his score! Then I got to the 5th USA stage and it literally took me 5 mins to finish it - the very last bit with the hammers KEPT ON KILLING ME. I got so worried about it that I was sometimes falling off the fan before i even got there - and one time made it past the hammers only to fail to use the following fan properly! Then me and SGC raced through - was so tense! On I think the 4th level He beat me by over a minute, on the 3rd level I overtook him RIGHT at the end, and on teh 5th level I managed to shave 3 and a half mins off my best time - on my screen I thought I'd won but alas he had beaten me by 0.015 of a second! And that time's still only a silver-medal... Well worth getting it guys, it's great fun but so fucking tense. I'm physically shaking from the adrenaline. Having a look at the achievements there's one level-specific time to beat; japan 4 in under 1:40. I shudder to think how hard that'll be. Giving it a rest now, moving on to Harm's way!

NEW WORLD ORDER! You have signed on now, haven't you? I have no other help for you. I just woke up so I left my words of wisdom half-soaked into my pillow. I also agree; life sucks right about now.

The Dark Knight Rises (Spoilers inside, enter at own risk)
jayseven replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Chit Chat
There's a point to be made - Batman's 'power' is that he's human. Him overcoming superpowers has pretty much been overlooked in the new movies. however! I quite enjoy this. Look at spidey 2. Dr. Oc was a 'realistic' enemy. Superpowers and their various knock-on effects do better in serial form where it can be explored, but in cinema terms, especially as an enemy, it is harder to fully appreciate. I disaprove of Mad Monkey's decision that action films are automatically substandard. While scifi has a larger potential for awesomeness, it typically does far worse in cinema terms than action does, though - devil's advocate - that may be because of special effects levels. Depending on the argument you wish to pursue. I think that we all have our favourite types of movie, but it is unfair to the styles we dislike to instantly dismiss them merely because they do not check our one box. There are dozens of boxes! One must realise that being constrained by one genre is a futile and ridiculous notion that your 50-year old self will scold you for. -
The one thing I wish this thread did was post results :P I often come in here having missed champs games and just see people posting opinions -- but fair enough. With the newc situation; it's ridiculous. Any Caroll, while shellshocked at his england debut, has been fantastic all season. He's sneaky and swift, and just about the cream of a crop that deserves to stay up. Being in 11th is, honestly, probably where they were aiming to be a the end of the season. While they've had some fantastic results it cannot be overlooked - they have let some important and theoretically easy points slide. At the moment newcastle are only performing well when they are expeted to perform badly. Against opponents of equal or less skill they are performing far too poorly, and I think that actuall it is fair to say it's the manager's fault. While he is good at motiviating as an underdog he has no skill at turning his headlights towards teams he should beat confidently. I especially look at the difference in carrol's performance in the black and white and how he did with three lions on his chest. I think he's been psychologically trained incorrectly. A new manager will probably mean instability for a period but if newcastle fans have any sense they'll not overlook the next manager's strengths or results. I think the newcastle players have good potential and I have to say that hughton was carried on the weight of his players as much as anything. Fuck all this talk about past accomplishments. If anything, I'm surprised Ken Hodginson has survived as long as he has. I guess it's fair enough to blame the money side of things for the poor b-team squad, but you cannot ignore torres's poor start. it's the manager's job to turn those tides and he didn't do it quick enough. Stuff.

I refer to my first post in this thread; the show is transforming the graphic novel to its tv form fairly well. There are clear points where the story has been driven in one direction in order to cover plotpoints further down the line -- The graphic novel did not know where it was going to end up, nor necessarily did it set up catastrophies or relationships as well as the tv show is able to. Perhaps it can be argued that the show is over-emphasising such key points, which may be reason to contest this series to be no better than Jericho's or 4400's first season. To summarise; lots of potential if treated with respect. I really do feel that a larger episode run will allow more constraight - and as we all know

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but with the chess.com app, you can both choose to play either on the main site or via facebook. It makes no diff whatsoever -- except facebook has more distractions. The chat on fb is, surprisingly, superior. Diageo - Murray jayseven - supergrunch Jonnas - mundi Haden - mike1988uk Charlie - cube Dwarf gourami - Raining_Again Flameboy - Mcphee Peeps - mcj metroid mcj you'll play the winner of mcphee/flameboy. Some day.

nxe6 would either make it a queen exchange, or a night's sacrifice but white queen survives moving to d4! Black would then have to either sacrifice white bishop or a white pawn. Queen would then have more room to move and could potentially make up the material difference, but white's under-developed comparatively! Edit; mmm no, black would play e5 after the white queen moves
