I've haddock up to here, these jokes have no sole and I think it would be betta to quit now rather than sea how far we can string this trout; otherwise it'll just turn into a load of codswallop.

Happy Birthday Guys! -
Buy it/borrow it and play it for a day... then you'll feel the love. Oh yeah, I got my 1000G on it now too.
-
Completed the game and got every S-Rank along the way for all challenges. Shouldn't be too bad getting 1000g in this... I really enjoyed the game overall including the final boss battle once I figured out what you actually have to do. They should definitely make more Sonic games based off the template of this title but with even more zones.

I'm not a big follower of sport in general but I can understand that this is a huge loss for his friends, family and fans alike. He was a gent and a legend. R.I.P Joe Frazier.

I got my copy paid about £13.50 for it with the deal + discounts... ... now to leave it on the shelf until I've completed Sonic Generations! ... What? Gotta get my priorities straight.
-
Hardened edition? No idea... probably the same deal applies though if we have it in stock, turn up tonight or on the day and find out.
-
I can confirm that the above deal is indeed correct and should be nationwide, just to give you an idea of stock levels our store alone has about 400+ copies (supposedly) so stock shortage shouldn't be an issue though I expect we will sell a good few at midnight.
-
Probably... might be able to find out what Tesco might be doing with it today but then again maybe not as I saw an advert in the paper for it stating midnight launch but no mention of any deal... ... which doesn't mean that there won't be one either, there could be but for something as big as this they would usually advertise deals in advance. Regardless I'm going to be picking my copy up tomorrow morning as I have a free £5 paid pre-order on it - thanks to Deus Ex - plus a £5 off voucher and staff discount = cheap MW3 for me.

The amount of stages isn't so bad when you consider that there are five red rings for both classic and modern Sonic to collect on the main run and then five challenge areas per stage - again for both classic and modern Sonic - each of which feature either their own layout/new way to play. So over nine main levels that'd be ninety red rings plus ninety challeneges plus a few more if there is an extra zone at the end - I haven't got that far yet - personally I think I'm enjoying it more because I refuse to move on to the next stage until getting all red rings and then when that's done I refuse to move onto the boss until I've completed all the challenges so it feels like it's lasting me longer. Each to their own though but personally I feel that this is one of the best Sonic titles made within the past decade matched only by Sonic Colours.

So who else is enjoying the fuck out of this game? @Cube? I'm currently loving it the classic Sonic levels seem pretty well designed and enjoyable as do the modern Sonic levels which may have the odd moment of 'why did I just make Sonic boost off the edge... fuuuu' but this time it feels more like you've sent him to his death rather than the game being terribly broken as honestly these instances are few and far between for me and only happen when I'm trying to go somewhere that Sonic isn't really supposed to. Still sticking rigidly to getting S ranks on all acts and challenge stages before moving on, I'm still in the first 'area' of the hub world - which is excellent btw - I haven't even faced my first boss yet which reminds me... this game seems to borrow its structure from Kirby's Epic Yarn because the hub world is similar, you had a set amount of levels before facing off against a boss plus challenges on previous levels, sound familiar? Not that this is a bad thing of course, far from it because it actually works to the games advantage apart from the fact that many will perceive it as 'oh there aren't as many bosses' while this may be true at least having fewer boss battles they should at least be challenging ones which is better than having loads of easy bosses really. Anyway... yeah, gonna get back to playing now.

They are unlocked and viewable from the extras(?) menu at the main menu upon completing the game.

I don't wish to spoil anything for anyone so I'll just say all of it because it is genuinely stunning from start to finish. Did you watch all of the behind scenes featurettes? I found them all to be particularly inspiring and insightful.
-
No... clearly that's the right thing to do. Really loving this game btw, I've decided that I won't move on to each new stage until I've properly completed both acts with all collectables so I'm currently only up to the second stage but I'm enjoying every minute of it so far.

I received mine at 12.00pm today... ... and then I had to go straight to work. :/ But I'm home now, have unboxed and dammmmn this is one nice special edition, definitely worth the money, the box and contents currently have pride of place displayed in my room. Now to play the game.

RUMOUR: Silicon Knights - 75% of the workforce axed?
S.C.G replied to david.dakota's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Seriously... if they are really returning to their roots like they say then this has to be Eternal Darkness 2 and it will more than likely be on Wii U, for them Too Human was something of a mis-step as even though it had a solid enough concept the way it was executed was surprisingly sloppy for a game that had supposedly had more than enough development time and as for the X-Men game... well... it clearly shows that they had lost their way - and all profitability- just wanting to recoup some of the cash that TH had lost them. It would be a complete waste of time for them to continue to persue the supposed Too Human trilogy, they would be the sequels that no one really wanted in the first place; if they are working on ED2 then this can only be good news but what frustrates me is that they could have been working on it all this time instead of wasting precious money and resources. -
Charted Hard get! I've just finished the game, completely and utterly stunning from start to finish... easily one of best games of this generation. As for treasures I managed to get about 68 I believe and that was with me looking pretty damn carefully throughout the majority of the game. I'm not gonna talk about anything relating to the story, not even in a spoiler box but all I will say is that I enjoyed it very much as it kept me hooked. Anyway... I'll let you all get back to your 'charting' while I sit back and enjoy the rest of the credits.

Nice comic, you should post it in the funny stuff thread too maybe.

I've saved a lot more than £20 by regularly using ShopTo so it all balances out, besides I'm just happy that I'm getting the collectors ediiton. The fact that it's back in stock now doesn't matter because it'll soon sell out again for sure... ... anyway I can't wait to play the game!
-
I have complete faith in ShopTo, they snet me a text today saying that it's packed and is with TNT 24 hr... I'm sure I've had other limited editions/large items sent this way and they've always reached me quickly and in pristine condition so I don't see why this would be any different.
-
You're not allowed to mention that you were playing a game on it?
-
The official release date is tomorrow, I'm playing it now though as ShopTo were awesome as always and got it to me in advance. Game is amazing btw.
-
Uncharted 3 arrived today, gonna go play, kthxbai... edit - this game is pure win! *sniff* its been too long since Uncharted 2...

That sucks @Ganepark32 I guess it could have been worse but still it's shit that you'd obviously rather not have to put up with/deal with... people who break into houses to steal stuff/harm others are scum.
