  1. Sabre Wulf... what could be more historic than that? Perhaps even if this isn't Rare's main game, maybe we'll finally get a playable version of 'Mire Mare' which never saw the light of day originally but could be revamped as an arcade title perhaps? I'd love an Ultimate/Rare arcade compilation personally, I used to love playing Knight Lore on my Amstrad 6128+ back in the day.
  2. Which is what they will be bargaining on, more people buying the game new = more profit for them, personally though if I decided to go for the console, it would probably mean that I'd end up waiting for most of the games to drop to below £20 before even purchasing them new, that way it won't feel as if I'd 'lost' quite as much as if I'd purchased it for full retail price. I don't know... we'll see what happens at E3 but at the moment I think Microsoft and EA are completely delusional! :p
  3. Well I don't really want it at the moment but this could change come E3, but I'm already partially turned-off by the fact that you don't 'really' own the games when you buy them. The games that they announce will have to be damn good for me to consider purchasing the console, so we shall see but right now, I'm happy with my current 360/PS3/WiiU setup.
  4. I think it's general, crappy American speak for it'll be the main 'thing' that people will be talking about at work, at the office, or specifically at the 'water cooler' at least I think that's what they meant. It's a stupid expression in any case.
  5. But... now that we know part of their - evil - plans to effectively eradicate the second-hand games market, is anyone going to be really... that interested in the games? Seriously, the only thing that could have a small chance of swinging it for me is if the rumored Rare game is something really special, and even then I'll probably just say to myself 'oh well... guess that's one game I'll never play' due to me really not wanting to purchase a console which tries to dictate what I do with my games that I've paid money for. It makes no sense at all.
  6. That's both awesome and strangely hypnotic... It's a GameBoy within a GameBoy, within a GameBoy, within a GameBoy, within a GameBoy, within a GameBoy... ...within a GameBoy.
  7. And for that very reason, I won't be buying one... there are other reasons but that one is definitely the main reason, it's also why I partly won't buy Playstation Plus... yes it's a very good deal, if you're on the console all the time and want to just play the games and be done with them but let's just say for arguments-sake what happens to all of your digital games when they 'turn off' the Playstation Network? (Which I know they won't) You can't play the games that you got for 'free' can you? At least with discs that you just put in a console and play without you having to be online, you know where you stand.
  8. Nicely put Zechs, but you've said it all 'twice' in one post.
  9. Listening to this right now for the first time while writing my reviews, loving it so far, I feel that this could be an album that I could 'live inside' for a while. ---------------------------------------- Currently 'losing myself to dance' and loving it, 'c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'monnnnn!' ---------------------------------------- I really do think that they've 'touched' upon something brilliant with this album. ---------------------------------------- Its definitely gone 'beyond' my expectations so far, making me realise that its been too long since I last properly listened to Daft Punk. ---------------------------------------- Motherboard... ---------------------------------------- 'Doin' it right'? That's basically this whole album summed up as clearly a lot of love has gone into it. ---------------------------------------- What a final track, Contact is brilliant! Overall a really enjoyable album that I can only see myself enjoying a hell of a lot more with future listens, stunning stuff. ---------------------------------------- Yep, it definitely gets better upon second listen, will put it on my MP3 player and listen to it again when I'm next on my way into work.
  10. Hmm well... I guess it'll be something like, 'oh, that console looks... reasonable, what about the games?' basically the opposite of Sony's conference, 'oh, those games look... reasonable, what about the console?' Even though it ultimately comes down to the games, I do like to actually see the proper hardware that's actually running them, with Sony I was seeing things, great things... (games) but not quite believing them so I expect Microsoft's conference to be more about believing what their machine can do but then wondering where all the games are.
  11. I don't think I've switched on my Xbox for about three weeks... :p I have games that I could be playing on it, just... Idk. Then again my PS3 was the same until I switched it on the other day to update it and yesterday to watch a Blu Ray. I do like owning all consoles but I tend to go through 'phases' of playing just one for a while, at the moment it's my Wii U because of Monster Hunter, Super Metroid and Lego City - when I get around to playing it - we'll see how the conference goes, if a load of games get announced for the new Xbox and I end up wanting one I'll probably be thinking 'hmm best clear some of that backlog on my 360 then' however if it's underwhelming then I'm more likely to think to myself 'PS4 for me then!' *switches on PS3 and finally plays inFamous 1&2* It literally all depends on the games.
  12. Excellent, I can't wait to see what they do with that amount of time, as it has the potential to be something truly fantastic.
  13. Either way, it sounds like it's going to be one hell of an episode, which sounds quite befitting the series 50th Anniversary. Because it's a special, do we know if it will actually be longer than 45 mins? I'd love the idea of it being the length of a short film, i.e 1 hour 30 mins but I have no idea how practical or logical that would be.
  14. Well I finally decided to cancel my pre-order on ShopTo, just in time by the look of it being that it's out in a few days! As anyone who orders on the site will realise when you cancel your pre-orders they always ask for your feedback to help improve things on the site so I wrote... Seems pretty reasonable to me, I figure that because the game is multi format it shouldn't take long to drop in price anyway, plus this will probably give me time to actually finally get around to playing Lego City and put in an extra few hours on Monster Hunter, not to mention the run of Super Metroid that I started the other day! Yeah, I clearly have enough to play as it is already.
  15. Not gonna lie... part of me wants a PS4 but aside from Infamous Second Son none of the other games appealed to me, it's great that they have so much power to play with but they've got to actually have interesting games to back it up if they want people to spend a substantial amount of money on the machine. Currently there's more that will be coming out on the Wii U within the next few months that I want than is on any other machine, I do hope that it gets some EA games though, even though I won't be buying I'm sure they'll make a difference to a few Wii U owners.
  16. If ShopTo put it up for pre-order I'll definitely be getting it, will most likely download it first though then keep the boxed copy sealed, it'll be worth a fair bit in the future for sure.
  17. In fact the only thing I want from Nintendo right now is some kind of unified account system or at least a fail-safe for if things go wrong, an easy way to recover your Nintendo Network ID if it gets deleted because at the moment there isn't one which I find ridiculous - this may be the same for 3DS I assume? - yes I'm aware that they do have ways of reinstating games or reimbursing you but it's still the principle of losing the account. Something a bit more 'secure' brought in with the summer update would be awesome because currently although I'm buying a few downloadable titles, I'd be inclined to buy a lot more if I knew they were a bit 'safer' and I can't be the only one who feels this way surely?
  18. I won't be able to see this live - work :/ - but if I return home and see at least one positive thing from this latest Nintendo Direct then I'll be happy... ... yep, that's how high I'm setting my expectations!
  19. But... the way I read it is, even if the Wii U suddenly starts outselling everything EA still won't support it - which would be rather stupid - in answer to your question though, I suppose not. I still don't like EA regardless though, I haven't done for a long time and could quite happily not buy most of their published games, even for the few I do want, I feel it'd be best to just pick them up second hand and forgo any online modes. Here's what EA will be releasing in 2013... Fuse The Sims 3: Island Paradise Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar Madden NFL 25 NHL 14 FIFA 14 Battlefield 4 Command & Conquer Dragon Age III: Inquisition Out of those titles I might be half-interested in two... (Fuse & Battlefield 4) and even then I don't think they'll be 'must buy' games, not to me anyway.
  20. *adds EA to the list of publishers NOT to buy games from* At least not first-hand anyway... I seriously dislike EA and will be making a concerted effort to not put any more money in their pockets... this may be tough if Criterion release any more games soon as I do tend to buy their games on release but I'll find a way. Sure, you can say ' but one person won't make that much difference' perhaps not... but something has got to be done surely? Yes I'm aware that Nintendo are also perhaps partly to blame but this is mainly EA's fault!
  21. Stick with the Dual Blades for a bit, upgrade them as and when you can and they will see you through a lot of the game, I'm over 250 hours in... I only recently tried out the bow, which is a good weapon but takes some getting used to. That quite often happens, if you ran there as quick as you could though, it won't have actually properly healed, but it will just appear like it has so my advice there would be to keep plugging away at him, he will fall eventually.
  22. So anyone else getting this on Wii U then? I'm on the fence about whether to keep my pre-order or not as I was mainly buying it for the prospect of playing Raid Mode online on the big screen but if not many people are getting it from here then I may just wait until it's cheaper, Capcom are milking it a bit anyway. :/
  23.
  24. So it was you! In that case, come on Serebii... you did it subconsciously right?
  25. They still did it deliberately though, look at Eevee's face... then look at the cameras/cartridge slot. Cannotbeunseen...
