You mean this? Alas, I couldn't resist. With all those Magic Cards from 1994 - 2007 or so sorted, plus some boosters from 2012 - 2016 I decided to go bang up to date with a whole booster box plus a bundle with the intention of building a deck from them. Not going to be buying any more cards for a while now though... I hope.

That's what I'm talking about! Pre-ordering that, well... just as soon as it's available on ShopTo anyway.

C-can I please use the Circuit Special as well instead? Anything to get out of having to choose a bike over a kart.

Resident Evil Revelations 1+2 Coming To Switch
S.C.G replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
But... I have the original Resident Evil Revelations on 3DS which is fantastic, boxed physical game, great. I think I downloaded the game on the Wii U as it was very cheap, though I never really felt the urge to play it. I have Resident Evil Revelations 2 along with all of the other Resi games available on the PS4 so getting the first game to go with them would be great, plus Raid Mode online on PS4 would be amazing! On the Switch though? Great news obviously, having it portable and on the big screen, even better but... One on cartridge and one as a download? Using up valuable space... Yes I have a 200GB card but still, that's for the life of the system hopefully. I might just buy it on the Switch but not download the second game, or sell the code because it sounds like I'd only want to play Revelations 2 once anyway. Good news overall in any case. -
Do you have/still own a 3DS @drahkon? (I genuinely can't remember) Anyway, if so then you might want to give the KORG Synthesizer software a go. It's frequently on sale (both versions) and allows you to create amazing music tracks, plus it's probably good for learning about music in general. Just a thought anyway. I can't really talk as I own both versions though I've barely used them but one of my brother's who is into music uses his a lot as it's a really good tool to have.

Wishing you all the best Hannah. Give me a shout if you see me on Steam and want to chat, I know I'm not on there as much now but I'm often happy to talk in the evenings. (the only reason I don't tend to start conversations on there and on Facebook/any instant messenger is because I often feel awkward about starting conversations these days in general, call it anxiety or whatever but I never used to be this bad) I've been ill for the past month or so, seemingly getting better but still got the remains of something on my chest, plus my voice hasn't fully recovered yet and whatever I sprained inbetween my ribs from coughing weeks ago still hurts a little bit. I feel like all my problems again dim in comparison to everyone elses it has just been frustrating to be not feeling my usual self as I want to get back to sorting stuff out, I'm doing what I can but it doesn't feel like enough at the moment. Anyway, sending general good vibes to the whole forum for what it's worth.

So, it seems I've ended up getting into Magic The Gathering... I'm kind of surprised but not... in a way. I've always liked card games, possibly more the collecting element but the way in which they play has always intrigued me. My previous ventures into cards include Pokémon TCG, Lord of the Rings and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (although I think those were more on the collectable side) I don't really have any experience but someone has kindly offered to teach me about the game, so after a couple of weeks and getting lucky with a job lot of cards online, I've gone from owning nothing to a few thousand cards. Currently spending some of my evenings sorting through them, will have to post some pictures if I find any good rares or any favourites. Hopefully I'll be learning more about the game soon, but it has just brought back to me how much I like collecting cards and appreciating the work which goes into them.

Samurai Shodown... (though it depends what fighting game you're looking for really) They are both decent for different reasons, get Fatal Fury Special and King of Fighters '98... see which you like. As for Metal Slug or Shock Troopers... the former is a purely side-scrolling Run 'N Gun title, while the latter is a Top-Down/Side-On, Run 'N Gun title with a bit more freedom of movement, both are excellent. Soccer Sidekicks... well, it's currently the only Football game available on the Switch arguably it's probably the best we'll ever see as well, it is supposed to be famed for its excellent gameplay so I'd say buy it. Yes... Alpha Mission II, Blazing Star, Last Resort and Aero Fighters 2 (out on Thursday) basically all of the shooters, if you really like shooters, if you don't then... What's wrong with you? But they are all good. Aside from that, Magical Drop II is an ESSENTIAL purchase, one of the best Puzzle games I have ever had the pleasure of playing.

Happy Birthday Serebii!

You can definitely do this, so if you find a years sub for £30 - £40 elsewhere you can just buy it, add it to your existing sub and it will extend the date by a year.

Yep, pretty much my thoughts, also it's worth noting that he didn't turn the stick sensitivity up. Straight after the intro, I turned motion controls off and stick sensitivty to maximum and I've found that works best for me. Now, motion control on the Wii? That's different... playing Metroid Prime Trilogy for instance with motion controls, actually pointing the device toward the sensor bar in line with the TV screen... that works well for me. But when I've got a traditional controller in my hand, I tend to find that motion control is only really good for secondary aiming, such as when you adjust the throwing arc before chucking a grenade from cover using a PS3/PS4 controller in the Uncharted games, for me that feels more natural. If motion control works for others in Splatoon 2 then that's all well and good, but don't go counting out those of us who just use sticks as I'm finding it to be far from anything like a disadvantage and more like a default way to play well in online matches.

Kaepora's disconnecting nightmare
S.C.G replied to Kaepora_Gaebora's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Do you have anything in or around your setup which could be causing signal interferance? It's an odd one, that's for sure. I think we got our Xbox One consoles around the same time - you likely had yours before mine though - and I've never had any controller issues with mine. With the Switch Joy-Cons though... we know there is a known issue with some of them connecting to the console but the fact that they had been working perfectly until now, suggests that there might be an outside factor. Let's see if we can figure this one out, with N-Europe on the case, we'll surely figure it out or at the very least debate it to death. -
I finally got to play this for an hour, I've had it since Friday but couldn't really play until now. Well, it's what I expected, Splatoon 2 is the same as the original but more streamlined, with faster loading, refined gameplay elements and is still a hell of a lot of fun to play. Personally I'm just amazed that it runs on the Switch so well, I can hear the system fans going almost constantly to the point that I'm almost scared to play for too long just in case my console overheats at all but it's probably fine. Of course I had to turn the motion-controlled aiming off as that just didn't feel right, just like on the Wii U but aside from that, this is the most fun I've had with a Splatoon title to date.

Annnnnd after that session, guess which Kart I just unlocked?
-
It's me, I don't have it unlocked.
-
Uh oh... I've just seen that list and I've got £50 credit to spend on the PSN store, obviously this is a good thing but... it's going to vanish pretty quickly.

N-Europe Review Here it is, see what our very own @Kaepora_Gaebora made of Splatoon 2.

It is vastly superior, it runs better, looks nicer, has all of the DLC on the disc, you can play the multiplayer on it but obviously on your PS4 so it's more relevant/easier to play with friends and it has an extra difficultly mode. Ah so it's the PS3 Super Slim then seeing as it has a top-loading drive, if it's the black-coloured variant, is the 500GB model, is in reasonable condition and hasn't been anywhere near your N64 Rumble Pak... then we may well have a deal. If and when you decide to sell it anyway... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hmm, now to get back on-topic... I completed What Remains of Edith Finch a couple of weeks ago, so I guess that counts and you can add me to the pile of people who have played it on here. For some reason I thought it had been out for ages but it's still quite a new release, I get all these Narrative-Driven games confused, but hey! Since playing this I'm now at least a partial convert and have even started playing Dear Esther as well. As for more... consistently interactive games requiring more button presses than story and walking simulation, I haven't played much due to being ill but I have been replaying Castlevania: The Adventure for some odd reason... I was out for a couple of hours one day and had my 3DS with me so... anyway, it's OK for what it is, I wouldn't bother playing it without save states, though one day I should really get around to playing the Wii Ware remake while I still can. I've been playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild of course but then who hasn't recently?
-
Why don't you just buy The Last of Us Remastered on PS4? I tried to play it on the PS3, it was the game which almost killed my original model console, didn't quite take to it, got it on the PS4 and loved it. The you can either play Portal 2... or don't - I have it on the Xbox 360 and still haven't played it - and sell your PS3 if you're eager to do so. Incidentally... which PS3 is it that you might be selling? If the price and the model is right then I might even buy it off you for my brother if you were looking for a quick sale or trade or something. Anyway, that's just an aside... the main thing is, please do play The Last of Us on any platform you can as it's brilliant in its own way.

The other day I was looking for the physical version only to find it didn't exist... if it had been available one disc for £30 then I would have picked it up once it has the single player stuff added. Indeed that might actually happen, I gather... so disc version with all the latest content at £30 and I'll be there.
-
Of course it went live when I had to go to the Doctors... Just as well I got one with GAME the other day and the amiibo from the German version of Amazon at extra cost... So it has come to this Nintendo. Ah well, day one either way so can't complain, plus I got a regular copy for the collection and a T-Shirt.
