Hmm then maybe I'll get Fuze 4 to tide me over until Petit Computer 4, to tide me over until the ZX Spectrum Next comes out in that case. And in the meantime, I'll resurrect my good old Amstrad 6128+ which I got a new scart cable and power adapter for a little while back, hope it still works.

Well... I know I mentioned about the ZX Spectrum Next, almost a year ago and it looks like the finished units with the cases won't be arriving for a bit yet either. So it's now a case of which will come out first in the UK/Europe? ZX Spectrum Next or Petit Computer 4 for the Switch. At this rate, I might end up getting Petit Computer 4 to tide me over. Although all credit to the team who are making the new Spectrum a reality, they really are taking their time to get things just right and it has been a long and bumpy road.

Yep, fantastic video there. One of those where it's an hour long but I wished that it could have been longer as watching it didn't seem like an hour because it was genuinely fascinating. There was plenty in that video about M2 that I was unaware of, clearly their passion for videogames knows no bounds! I know those Sega Ages 2500 games didn't make it over here but I think some of them are import friendly, I mean... you still need a way to play NTSC PS2 games but still. I actually went ahead and bought Phantasy Star Complete after watching that amazing Phantasy Star episode... ...it still hasn't got here yet as it's coming from Japan but it should only be another week or two... It has English language I believe, that's what swung it for me and the quality of it. All this time and I thought it was JP language only... also I have since got the Phantasy Star games in their original format but it never hurts to have options. It would be amazing if the other Phantasy Star titles got the same Sega Ages treatment as the first game on the Switch because I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

An excellent idea for a topic @Eenuh as it is deifnitely a tricky one, especially in today's market for videogames, especially retro titles. But I would say that @Fierce_LiNk is right to want to hold onto certain titles, as there are plenty which will likely hold their value if not increase over time. I don't like the idea of selling games if I think that I might play them in the future but even I admit that there are some titles I've sold because I likely don't have the time to play them. One such game was Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse which I finally decided to sell recently because while I did originally purchase it with the intention of playing, that didn't happen... and it's an Atlus title, as a publisher they are notorious for only doing very low print runs so subsequently the value did go up and even though I still maybe didn't want to sell it, I did anyway and I'm glad that I did for various reasons. Firstly, I made my money back and a little bit on top even if that wasn't my main reason for buying it, secondly I did take lower than the buy it now price and I'm glad that I did because I ended up selling to a guy on eBay who I won't name in case he didn't want to be named but he's one of the nicest chaps I could have hoped to have sold to and again while I won't go into all the details, we did get talking about various games and I said that he'd be more than welcome to join up here which he said he may do in the future, so that's cool... also he's now really enjoying the game so I couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. It's nice when things play out that way because I can't tell you how many other times I've had difficult sales, or sales where you don't feel like the person buying the game was really that bothered... but then I suppose you have to separate those feelings most of the time as you're just selling a game and they are paying you for it and for you to post it to them but it is nice when you put the extra effort in and it's then appreciated. I had no idea that those three DS games had gone up in value so much... as it happens I am in the process of going through my own collection because while there are plenty of games I do want to keep, I will be selling some to make a bit of room, I did actually pick up Ghost Trick a year or so back for a few quid which I was glad to add to my collection, as for Kirby Super Star Ultra... I have the US version (black box) if yours is the UK Pal clear box version then that seems to be worth more, I had no idea that it was so collectable now but I suppose with Kirby, the prices will go up with the characters enduring popularity. Last Window... that's a game I've been aware of and I was going to pick up at some point, let me know if you did want to sell it and I would gladly pay you what it's worth but... equally, if you want to keep it then by all means do that as it will surely keep its value, plus if you think you might want to play it in the future... anyway that's a nice game to have. All of what @Dcubed said in his above post is very good sound advice, there are plenty of fake DS games on eBay but there's no reason to think that yours are anything but genuine, if you want help identifying them then you can always post pictures of the games in here and we'd be happy to help I'm sure. In general though, it's not so easy deciding which games to keep and which to sell, the only titles I'm selling at the moment are doubles of certain titles but they are pretty niche... one is a sought after Neo Geo Pocket Color game, then there's an aftermarket NES game, a Genesis title and a couple of sealed GameCube games. I will be going through my collection with a more critical eye soon though as I need to get rid of some stuff and if it comes down to it... some I could sell if I really need the money. Generally I try to be a lot more selective these days though, but one things for sure... it's always good to have great games in your collection to play and enjoy.

I think I'll stick with my NEC MultiSync EA234wmi in vertical orientation for Tate mode games. But I do agree that using the above Samsung display for Switch games would be a much better use than... whatever it was originally intended for which seems like a waste. Also... I think my option was a little bit cheaper £200 or so versus... £1,500! Good luck to them selling that, my current main TV is a Samsung, as weas the one before it but... it looks like they're chasing after a completely different market now. Anyway, my Switch games look pretty good on both my displays, though I do need to start using that vertical monitor more for what I got it for, Ikaruga.

What... I didn't realise that Alien Soldier is currently exclusive to the JP version? That needs to change with the last lot of games released. I do have ways in which I can play the game already (MD cart which is sadly just a repro and the Wii VC version) but it needs to be played by as many people as possible. Thinking about it, it's also on a lot of the recent Sega compliations, so it's even more baffling as to why it wouldn't be on all versions of the MD mini.

Nintendo eShop sale? PSN sale? Xbox Live Marketplace sale? They all pale into insignificance when compared with the Epic Store Mega Sale!

I think that's probably it for the night, I just jumped into a random match to see if anyone else was playing, just one or two players it seems. Best to give my Switch a bit of a rest too, its gotten pretty warm in that last hour or so. The fan seems to kick in at the same point as it does in Mario Kart, when in the lobby and especially during races. Anyway, it was great fun and I'm sure I'll be up for playing some more soon.

Annnnd... 103 point reached, got the Game Boy Tetris theme, so that'll do for me. Not bad for just over an hour of Tetris playing, I got into the top 20 a few times. Anyway this new skin will make the game all the more playable for me so I'll no doubt be back and I'll probably drop the £9.99 on it soon. Although... I just had a thought, what if... in a similar way to winning £9.99 eShop credit in a future event, they gave unlock keys for the dlc for a certain amount of players? Or just keep it to the £9.99 prize I suppose as some might have already bought it, yeah... just a fleeting thought, nevermind. Anyway, I like what they've done with Tetris and adding additional dlc later included in the £9.99 is a good move.

So shall we play a few online games in the evening then? Give us all a chance to get to grips with the controls and unlock a few things.

Nope and double nope! It's definitely lacking a lot of the finesse in options that Mario Kart 8 DX has. But who knows if it will get patched in at a later date?

Well, from playing just the first race I can say that it definitely runs well, it all takes a bit of adjusting from Mario Kart 8 DX though. Fortunately there is a control scheme which is close to MK8DX which works better than the trigger option I feel. Also I noticed that both @Ike and @Lens of Truth seem to be in the early copy club as well, let me know if you want to try out the online.

It only arrived today! Seems like I was lucky with an early delivery from ShopTo. What was version 1.0.0 like? I couldn't tell you, because it's not version 1.0.1 already so there's a day zero patch. As for everything else, I'll let you know.

Not that I've seen but... my copy should be arriving soon from ShopTo so... I might just review it for the site. I can't buy the other versions to compare the performance though, that would get expensive. But I'll let you know if the Switch version runs well or not in docked and undocked mode.

Good news indeed on the Version 1.0.1 update. Now it just needs a physical release.

Another racer for the Switch eShop? Why not! Rally Rock' N Racing certainly looks interesting enough to consider purchasing if the gameplay holds up.

Thanks for sharing that DMC retrospective @Hero-of-Time I'll be sure to enjoy watching it... ...just as soon as I get back to completing the series. I can't believe that was nearly two months ago that I was making some nice progress on DMC3 before it all went to hell. But there are still demons left to battle, so I think I'll get right back to it.
