lol what? I really don't like that part of the EU, well not that part exactly, but the Dark Empire, it's just too farfetched, even for Star Wars. Hamil talked about the possibility of an Episode VII, so who knows?

Can't believe you're saying it either lol They seem to be interested in making MGS games I can't play. :P

I'm really liking it too. I mean, it's incredibly rough around the edges, more than it should considering it's a big dev. Enormous ammount of bugs, the moral stuff still sucks ass and works incredibly bad, loadings become unbearable, pop up sucks, combat is horrible, etc... Yet I'm still having a very good time (maybe I wouldn't if I paid full price for it lol) and it's a very charming game, that breaks from the over-americanized space marine, UE3 fest.

People can like whatever the hell they want for different reasons, for example I prefer Wii controls in FPS to twin sticks, specially on PS3, not to mention stale level design, useless physics and features that have been on the PC for ages. If The Conduit has great controls that alone makes it more interesting than most FPS out there, if level design and AI matches it, then yes, it can be much better than a lot of PC FPS. The best ever? No chance in hell, probably not even close, but hey, each one wants different things from games. That's no reason to take the lately packed elitist (and stupid) "Wii games are a stopgap in quality and they just like them because there are very little good games, I'm the one playing high quality stuff." route.

Actually I think there's no proven limit to how many fps our eyes can perceive :P Movies look good indeed because the image is all drawn at once, while in TVs it's drawn line by line. A 60 hz TV displaying in 480i displays 30 fps for example. Anyway, tech in 10 years!

That looks awful, but I love love my K770i. It's fast, pretty, light, thin, great screen, great camera and the battery is the best I've ever seen. Sony Ericsson ftw

I love you guys! *group hug*

lol genious Unless you weren't kidding, that way it'd just be retarded

Not going in detail, it was the worst year of my life so far.

Again, without triangulation, it would lose a big plus. Like I said, I never had any problems, but I know it's not perfect.

OK so I get home after that particular event where you're gone for a while and there's my wife and kid and she's introducing my kid to me all grown up! Big scene! Except he's CLIPPING INSIDE HER! I CAN'T SEE HIM! Oh but wait, that's nothing, when he er... comes out of her... he's black! WTF? Can your wife cheat on you? Or is it yet another bug? lol If they can cheat, it's a problem easily solved with an axe.

The sensor would be somewhat the same, afaik other positioning techs are complicated and expensive. We never know how the tech will be in a few years though. Never had any problems with IR anyway, specially not with light, I've head full power (lol) sunlight shining directly at it and it works normally. It's not perfect, but it's possibily the best alternative right now.

Not quite. The Wii remote's accelerometers measure linear acceleration not rotation, when you rotate it they just sense gravitational acceleration. So basically... tilt. Gyroscopes (motion+) on the other hand respond just to rotation (gyro :P), not movement, so they're not affected by gravity. Put the two together and what you have is a device capable of tracking pretty much every motion. So, it cannot see where you are pointing at all, you wouldn't be pointing, the in game gun or cursor/wtvr would just move accordingly to your hand movements and replicating it but it would never know where the Wii Remote is. Meaning that the information of how the wii remote is being held can be interpreted as, I'm pointing the gun forward and now moving it up, but realisticly it has no idea where you are pointing. Not that you are pointing to the TV either with the IR, but IR triangulation together with the remote would me much better than limiting it to just the remote, considering that even with gyroscopes and accelerometers, there's no way of detecting where the wii remote is in space. There's a reason why you need to point the remote at the screen at the begining of sword fighting here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1emrtvihg8&feature=related Those who played CoD:WaW, to me it felt incredibly weird pointing when you were looking down the sights because since you didn't see any aim, you basically felt that it was replicating your movements. It's not the same thing as using just motion+ of course, but some effects would be similar to removing IR. Pardon me if I'm not making much sense or saying something wrong, I'm a bit woozy :P Even smaller? Why? Consumer demand didn't even justify a color change much less new hardware. Not to mention it's very small and light already. And what's the point of HDMI out?

FPS aren't the only things that use IR. Think of a shootemup, like HoTD, some people feel weird pointing already because they're not pointing at the screen imagine if the pointing was due to your movements being replicated?

*shudders* This one totally blows my mind.

Not useless at all, IR still is the best method for pointing, relying on motion+ alone would not only be more trouble for the devs but would be awkward in lots of situations. It's useless to speculate, specially since Nintendo likes to throw curveballs, I just want the controller to be pretty a much a traditional controler split in two, each with gryoscopes and accelerometers, both with rumble, at least one speaker and IR on the right one. Now that they don't need to cater as much to new crowds I think it's feasible to have a controller with more buttons.

Superman movies are filled with stuff like that. Turning back time by inversing the rotation of the earth anyone?lol And the part in people watching it.

This. It's been like this since... hmm... the NES?

I'm so glad Choze is picking up steam again. Thank you I thought PS3 was just a Blu Raay player now I am wiser and know PS3 is bold... and insane!

I you don't mind I'll post this again: Wolverine's origins always were a double edged sword though, they come up with cool stuff, but it kinda ruins part of the magic. Still, do want.

Ah damnit I thought someone else already had the game. It's so awesome ^^ I'm a noob at it though.
