Gametrailers Review - 7.3 http://www.gametrailers.com/player/24659.html
-
It could be a Ghost item, not quite in the centre of the box yet...
-
Looks nice, havn't really been interested in the series before though, prefered Burnout.
-
I know what I'm talking about Dante. There was no mention of an island, and whilst one location was set in what appeared to be a castle, other scenes seemed to showed a snowy location with a very industrial feel to it and seemed to be the hidden core of the Umbrella corportion! This final part of the story appears to have made its way into Umbrella Chronicles in first person! EDIT: Original Trailer http://www.gametrailers.com/player/3295.html The castle also looks like it might be in a snowy location, with what looks like snow blowing in through the windows.
-
First Code Veronica, now this!! The ONLY reason I'm interested in this game now is for the new Umbrella section! The rest might aswell not be in it! And if only they could have told that part of the story as they were originally going to! A glorious third person adventure to the center of umbrella secret snow base, starring Leon!

Star Road It's not really the same in Super Mario Galaxy, but more of a reference/tribute to it I guess!
-
Gameplay Video http://www.gametrailers.com/player/24575.html Looks abit rubbish really! It's supposed to control really well, but you don't really get the sense of that from the video, though lifting the Wii-mote Rocket Launcher on to your shoulder could be pretty fun!
-
Yeah I think it's just making the point that it's different to the first Pokemon Stadium, but I wouldn't be surprised if the original turned up as one of the classic stages (providing Brawl has them)!

Yeah same! Yeah there wasn't Easy in Prime 1/2, but I thought maybe they'd added one for Prime 3 for more mass market appeal! Anyways, Veteran it is then I think!
-
Well it adds replayability for one thing! And surely a game like Mario Galaxy offers a number of ways it could be used? New mini-levels, alternate suit colours (fire flower etc...), new hidden stars... I dunno, just to add some new fun things once we've found all 120 stars. And anyways, what about games where there is reason to? Wii-Sports - new course/backdrop, Excitetruck - a new vehicle, course, Mii - new customisations
-
Agreed! One of the best [designed] boss fights ever!
-
What are the difficulty's in MP3, is there an Easy mode or is it just Normal and Hard? If there's no Easy mode, then I think Normal mode will be pretty straightforward like Twilight Princess. If so, then I might try Hard mode for first playthrough (if it doesn't have to be unlocked?)!
-
It does baffle me why not even Nintendo themselves aren't even using Wii Connect 24! It's so underused it may aswell not exist! Nintendo themselves could have at least updated the Mii customisation menu, or added a different court to Wii Sports Tennis or something!
-
That's rubbish! There's an official MP3 discussion thread, so use it!A new thread just talking about your opinion on Metroids difficulty isn't exactly the most interesting and likely to spark a lengthy discussion, just post your opinions on the game in here! I don't really agree with you on Metroids difficulty. Echoes took things a bit far perhaps, but Metroid Prime got it spot on and yes Resi 4 was well balanced, though a couple of bosses were a tad easy (but the game as a whole made up for it!). I don't want to just walk through a game! I'd much rather a game offer a challenge than be a toned down to suit the everyone, something which Zelda is really suffering from!

Wonder if it's back to the Antarctic base of Code Veronica?Well a different part that wasn't blown up! Maybe Steve's being held captive there and you have to face him in a boss fight, and then save him or something? Either way, surely they'll give Steve closure in this game (if they do intend to use him in a game again), because unlike Sherry, I can't see him progressing into any of the 'new' storyline games as he wasn't an as key character. And once again, Leon and Claire better be in this!! Especially if Steve ends up in the game, it should be Claire who saves him! Just remembered this image a few posts back and I have a bad feeling Resi 2 isn't in the game! Surely those 4 outlined scenarios are (although I can't read them)... Train Mansion Racoon City Umbrella Laboratory Despite Resi 2 also taking place in Racoon City, the part that was going to be in Umbrella Chronicles was the Police Station etc... There's no fifth scenario in that list for a seperate Police Station mission and I think Racoon City will just incorporate Resi 3 (Jill and Carlos) as that's all we've seen so far!
-
Still no Leon and Claire! they had better be in this!! Dunno why but I have a slight feeling they are going to make a mess of the umbrella collapse story! Oh and also... Claire is being played by the hot Ali Larter (of Heroes fame)...

Heard on the news last night that he was critically ill in hospital and it shocked me! Hoped he'd pull through, but then woke up to the sad news this morning. He was a legend in the music world!
-
Hmm... I'm still gonna call fake on this one! though it'll probably turn out real! I still have the issue over the characters on the box, being only characters revealed up until that point (when there's still months to go). Also, the 'Brawl' logo is abit lost and the Samus design looks abit wierd! It's also a kind of drawn style that Nintendo hasn't used before (but that doesn't really mean anything as they do something different for Brawl if they want)!

Apple Press Conference (New iPods, iPhone price drop)

Looks to squashed IMO! Prefer the older design! iPod Touch looks nice though! The font and everything, I just thought of the Wii when I saw this picture! -
Gamecube games you thought would be good
Retro_Link replied to mcj metroid's topic in General Gaming Discussion
And then when you got there... ...nothing! -
haha, yeah I thought it would for many people, but honestly I just don't get why it's considered by many to be the best of the lot! I actually think it's just a little dull, still great! but compared to the rest... I really like meeting Yoda and everything that happens on Dagobah, but with more of a focus on Han and Leia, Lando and Cloud City *yawn*... plus when you've heard the whole "No... I am your father" thing once, the film looses the impact of that in any subsequent viewing!

My reflection on the Wii's first year is that there simply hasn't been enough quality titles on the console for me to warrant purchasing one! I've always bought Nintendo consoles (at launch or there abouts) for Nintendo's epic First Party Titles, the likes of Mario, Zelda, Metroid, SSB, F-Zero etc... and for masterful Third Party titles like Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing, Resident Evil etc... I like single player games that last a long time, games that offer a challenge, or with plenty of replay and so far in it's first year the Wii has had very little of that which is a real shame! So far Zelda has been the only regular Nintendo franchise to appear on Wii and outside of Resi 4 (which I've got on GC), there haven't been the type of games I like from Third Party's either! Wii Sports is really the only game I could see myself getting alot of use out of! Thankfully with the soon to launch Metroid, Mario and SSBB I can finally see the Wii being worth getting! I'm still that little bit skeptical because obviously once those titles are done with I want there to be plenty of other games on the console that can hold my time! Nintendo's new approach and line of games, Brain Training, Wii Fit etc... don't really interest me! and whilst I will wait to see more of Wii Fit, they're not really the type of games I'd like to see! Same with this vast array of mini-games! From my perspective there's Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers, Guitar Hero III, Zack & Wiki and We Love Golf to look forward to... But I really hope Nintendo are working on their next batch of true First Party titles (F-Zero, Starfox, Waverace) and that Third Parties begin to deliver true single player adventures along the lines of Resi Evil, Banjo Kazooie etc...

Great 2D graphical style! But will this get to the US or Europe do you reckon?
-
So you don't think the peanut guns will be like Fox's blaster, but like the bow and arrow?I can't really see a pistol weapon being like that (having to determine the speed and distance you fire)! plus they're not like that in DK64
