Yeah and that level with Bowsers docked submarine... I think something there put you out into the small lake furthest from the castle!

OK so I've completed all the Princesses Books Found all 100 paintings Beaten World Pro on Table Tennis and won all three animal races! What else do I have left to do?... I have 52/58 treasures, but I can't understand where these treasure would be?! and I'm still puzzled by King Shiska' letter from up high... a secret hole, south of the whirling valley (or something), where three rocks point... The whilrling valley is the passageway between the Kingdom and the Jolly Kingdom right? It's pretty difficult to determine what south of there is!

Well teams still pit for tyres... they can effectively pit as many times as they want for those, or not at all, so there's a gamble/strategy aspect still there, it's just yet to come into effect because the tyres are too good! The idea behind removing fuel stops was to try and encourage cars to pass each other on the track more, instead of cars simply putting in the fast lap when the car infront pitted for fuel... something that started happening because on track overtaking has become so difficult in F1. The problem we have now is that it's still just as difficult to pass cars on the track, and we have no fuel stops. Thus unless we have a wet race, you're likely to actually see less overtaking until they ban the double diffuser in 2011 and take further steps to reduce the cars aero grip!

Great race... but then it would have been if there were still fuel stops... I think what no refuelling does is just make the boring tracks/races that much more boring, that is all. Good drive from Button, Great drive from Kubica, Poor Vettel Massa was a bit all over the place today! and that weaving infront of Webber was crazy! But there is NO WAY that on race 2 of the season he should have to move over for Alonso... Brundle saying that really pissed me off! If Alonso's good enough he'll get round him. Rosberg delivered a top drive yet again! Schumacher... oh dear... him and Alonso were together after their bad starts... Alonso got past Jaime straight away! Schumy never did! Pretty immense driving from Lewis, but man was he pissed!!! haha, it was basically Blah Blah Round 2...

GT Review - 8.6 I'm not totally sold on this game, swordplay may be fun, but it's not a game I'm gonna return to and it sounds a little empty.

Kingdom Update... - Completed the Songbook! - 100 paintings GET! ... and some citizens fell in love.
-
I found the game to get quite old and frustrating past the halfway mark. And it became a bit of a chore to play for me tbh. However much you are charmed by that blob now, come world 4 you will be cursing at the little bugger from time to time! The ending does make up for it somewhat though!

Todays progress... - Completed the Flying Machine - Completed the Food book - Completed the Animal book - Completed the Scenic Book... Apricot ftw!! - Now have 98 pictures - Found probably 5 more songs... yep, the song book is gonna take so many 'in game days' to complete at this rate!
-
Yeah the song book just seems like it's gonna take forever! But I think I want to try and get a 100% playthrough... though I'll see how it goes! Another question... I'm avoiding collecting the final flying machine piece atm because I'm not sure if completing the machine will trigger flying off in it?... it probably doesn't, but just wanted to check I can I still wander around after completing it?

Hmm... we seem to have lost some posts! Anyways... had a good play session of this again today! Beat Jumbo! That laser beam he fires that reduces your villagers class is a bit of a bitch! I quickly learnt to try and avoid that! And the battle gets pretty tough near the end with the Steam rollers, Giant Pencil, and Onii you have to stop feeding him! etc... Seriously what AWESOME music!! (when it goes up tempo around 30+ seconds in) Audio But sadly I lost my first ever citizen, Suika, a lumberjack who's been with me since the start ... ah well, I guess it's only right I get to experience every aspect of this great game before it's finished, so I attended my first funeral today, a touching experience! - Completed the Enemy handbook - Have one more UFO to find to complete that book... will do that tomorrow - Beat the Rabbit, actually found him the hardest - Beat the Two Pigletts on my second go (should have had them on the first) Couldn't believe they were called Boo and Bii - Beat the Rabbit, Pigletts and Bear on my first go. - Have got up to Advanced Pro on Table Tennis... Howsers a bitch! - Finally connected up the entire Kingdom by building the bridges to the New Island from the beach which I can finally access! - Got my Magician Regarding the other Princess books... - Seem to be missing 1 or 2 foods... have no idea where they could be! - And the singing one!!! I've only found 3 songs since I got that book... no one seems to ever be singing! and there are 30 to collect!!!! Does EVERY villager have to be happy for people to be singing or something? :wtf
-
Man, how awesome is the intro the King Long Sauvage!... (not Long Sausage) Great stuff!! Just beat him, easy really, I only took about 12 people into battle with me to keep the numbers small on that mountain! Slutty Hot Princess GET! And just found part 6 of the flying machine.

I think they may have lost the plot! They seem to be desperate to get something on the 360/PS3 after what was probably slightly dissapointing sales of The Conduit. However, I predict this new version of The Grinder is going to absolutely bomb on the HD consoles, they have absolutely no reason to buy it, it doesn't even look good (even by many Wii games standards) and seems to have completely lost its style. HD console owners have there Bayonetta's and God of War to play. The previous version of The Grinder is bound to have outsold on Wii alone, what this new version will sell on 360/PS3 (and possibly Wii) combined.

Well they could take quite a few pages out of LKS' book and integrate a bit more of a story throughout. It's obvioulsy a bit more difficult as the Pikmin don't speak, but they could have Olimar speak and the pikmin incredibly expressive during the cutscenes... Also like LKS, any main story cutscenes could also be in a more animated artstyle... they could be plastercine animations (like the artwork for the game). It might also be nice to build a home for yourself on the planet this time. You could build a small settlement from all the everyday items you find around the planet... Boxes, cans, bottles etc... for structures Strung Christmas lights for streetlamps, powered by a car battery etc...
-
So first half of 2010... Mario, Metroid, S&P2 Late 2010/11... Pikmin, Zelda, Retro's Project?! Awesome!!
-
hmm.... Well at least then these films can be filmed with 3D in mind, as opposed to crappy 3D conversions as they near release.

Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Retro_Link replied to Ren of Heavens's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Gameplay/Developers Diary: Doesn't look as good as the sceens above, but some parts of that video looked nicer than others, so maybe there are a few stages of development in there? I just don't understand the Wii!... The Gamecube was able to produce Resi 4. Developers talk about 'completely building the game from the ground up for Wii'... 'great engines' etc... and yet the games still look just like a decent Gamecube effort. Are developers budgets much smaller for Wii titles now or something, because surely a custom built game for Wii from a series and developer like this, should be able to give us something of Resi 4 equivalent throughout by now! On the plus side, I can see the gameplay being fun, switching between powers and implementing them into the environment with the Wiimote pointer on the fly! -
I just don't get what they were thinking!!... New Developer Diary: I just can't see 360/PS3 owners buying this! They have so much better stuff in comparison, at least Wii owners have a lack of this type of stuff, so surely Wii should be their primary audience?! They constantly hark on about wanting to work with and get feedback from fans and the media, well surely everyones reaction to this change is... UMM NO THANKS!... so surely they should scrap it. For a small developer, surely they wasted a lot of time and money on the original version to just forget about it, it looked to be at a good stage! All seems a bit of crazy.

I don't understand why a lot of people seem to prefer The Conduit to The Grinder (obviously not the new version). The Conduit (even as a potential series) just seems so generic in so many ways!
