That's nasty. I guess the police wouldn't get involved unless a punch had been thrown or unless somebody had been physically hurt. I do agree that more could and probably should be done, though. You did the right thing by ringing them up though, because then the responsibility is passed on to the police and it's then up to them to choose if they deem it worthy of following up or not.

Please don't tempt me to do the same. Out of curiosity, how long do we think the PS4 will keep going for? It's been going for nearly 5 years.

Woooooo! I often spend a lot of time just wandering around, looting houses, talking to the characters, etc. Trying not to miss anything.

Seems like the right kind of appointment for Arsenal, but is Arsene really going to go this season? I think he'll go when his contract runs out next season.

Finally got around to finishing this last week. I think I enjoyed the final section in this more than the final section in Uncharted 4 (except for the actual ending-ending which was just sweet). Great game! Loved the size of the game, the look of it, the content, etc. Big thumbs up from me and would happily play another game with Chloe and Nadine.

Started this on Saturday and have apparently put 16 hours into it already. Where the fuck did that time go?! Love it, obviously. It's just like a continuation of the first time and it basically feels like the next episode in a series. Captain Diabetes and Jimmy are the GOAT.

It looks like the PS4 will be going on for a while yet, so if the opportunity is there to go ahead and upgrade to a Pro, then it's probably a good idea to go for it.

I've decided to shelve the Japanese for the time being and am focusing mainly on Italian at the moment. I'll probably go back to Japanese in the future after my Italian has progressed a lot further. Italian is quite fun and it's a nice sounding language.

Will your quality of life be better or worse in the new place? From the sounds of it, you'll be poorer due to the loss of welfare, won't be earning as much as your current place and will be having to travel a lot further. If you're not completely sold on the idea of switching, I'd stick with it and find a better/more appealing job later. From the way your post was written, I think you already know that the new job isn't the right one. Better to stick with what you've got for now.

Dayuuuuum. I would be all over that if we weren't going away to Italy on Wednesday.

Think Liverpool could do them over two legs. 2-0 victory at Anfield and then play for a draw at the Etihad. Two legged ties are different mentally to a straight one-off match. If Liverpool concede more than one goal at Anfield, then I think the tie will be over and City will go through.

I still think of the Wii as just one generation ago, but then I remember the WiiU. I remember unboxing it for the first time and playing Twilight Princess. Not quite nostalgic about it just yet as it still feels too fresh in the mind for me.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider ( 14th Sept 2018 )
Fierce_LiNk replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Other Consoles
Loved both Tomb Raider and Rise, so will definitely be interested in this. Be interesting to see the direction that they take with this entry. -
Shit game, shit tactics and shit performances from players. Sanchez and Pogba are on huuuuuge contracts and need to start playing like the high profile players that they are supposed to be. Lukaku is the only player who can come out of that game with any shred of dignity. Rashford had a few moments, but ultimately it was a very disappointing performance. Mourinho got it massively wrong over two legs. No idea why he decided to give Sevilla so much respect and backed off that much. We looked miiiiles better when we started to attack after going 2-0 down. If we had played the whole game like we played during the period of play where we scored, then it would have been a different outcome. Probably the worst European tie I've seen from United in terms of a game over two legs. Both legs were rubbish and tonight was embarrassing. Sevilla played well and deserve to go through, but we rolled and bent over for them.

I've just watched the video and hope some action is taken against the driver, assuming that he is the one filming the incident. Carragher was stupid to react and should have just wound the window back up. Spitting is disgusting and is horrible. But, the driver is just an absolute prick for going about it that way. Caused a problem and created a situation that just didn't need creating in the first place.

Looking forward to this. Won't be able to play it on release...it might even be a summer game. But, it just looks so lovely. Why won't they release the first game on the PS4?!

We've not had any really juicy battles on here for a long time. This place is very tame compared to what actually happens in stadiums, in pubs or in the streets. I do feel that this situation is completely out of character for Carragher. I don't claim to know him in real-life, but he must have been really pushed over the edge to have reacted like that. The fan does deserve to share some of the blame. I've not read or followed the full incident, but (based on what I heard) the fan was driving around holding a smartphone with his daughter in the car and shouting annoying comments towards Carragher. There's no real need for that. It's just pointless and it only serves to goad the other person. It's different to a situation where you might be friends or workmates with this person. Poking fun at your friends or colleagues is different to hurling comments at ex-pros who are just going about their business. But, Carragher is ultimately in the wrong because what he has done is lawfully and morally wrong. Spitting is disgusting and he should feel ashamed about having done that. He will feel ashamed about it and he might even lose his job over it. But, ultimately, it was a spur of the moment thing and he completely over-reacted. He'll have to live with it. But, I don't like all of this hounding and witch-hunting that is taking place. It's a situation that should have been avoided and has solved no purpose other than to wind someone up and to get them to do something stupid. Baiting, basically.

I've been out and have missed all of the West Ham drama. Will have to catch it on Match of the Day.

Yeah, think I should've kept my mouth shut there. Wooooo, full-time. Defended too deep in the second half for my liking, but we took the pressure and limited their chances. Bit annoyed with the Bailly own goal, which was a freak goal and just invited more pressure onto the defence/the game. But, happy with that, more so the first half than the second. I can breathe now.
-
Yeah, but all it takes is one corner or one mis-timed tackle in the box and suddenly the whole game changes. Van Dijk had a free header in the first half and should have scored. So, there will be chances. I'm hopeful that the defence will stand strong and I could see us scoring at least another goal, so I still think/hope we'll win. I originally had the game down as a 1-1 draw. So...we'll see what happens.
-
Bailly has been excellent and I'm loving the link up play between Lukaku and Rashford. The first goal in particular was just absolute class. It's only half time though and we need to start the second half strongly. I can quite easily imagine us losing focus and allowing Liverpool back into the game.

Mkhi will probably play terribly the next game now. Good player when he's on it, but was at times our worst performer when it wasn't working for him. Still think he'll do ok/well at Arsenal.
