Well, for the first few months. But then, everybody claimed to be the messiah, a Nintendo Insider, a Secret Government Agent, or God himself. It got a bit tiresome with all of the talk about the specs, photo-realistic graphics and the visor stuff. It was very exciting around E3 time, and whenever an event rolled around. But, it was also torture, haha. There are no fans like Nintendo fans, they hype up everything. -
They were the team that looked like they could do eet last season, too. Spurs have also been flirting with that fourth spot. I might be wrong, but so far I think both Villa and Spurs have had little to no trouble with injuries, as of yet. They've got that early momentum, and with Liverpool showing their weaknesses, it really is up for grabs. I just don't know if either team has the squad to make it, though. Champions League football would be tough on both of these teams, imo. Not just that, but the congested schedule. We already saw at the start of this season where Fulham struggled to find momentum in the league due to having a hectic schedule. Both Villa and Spurs have great players, but they'd have to add to that squad I think, it needs more depth there in the event of players picking up injuries or being knackered from games. If football was strictly just about the starting 11 and form, then it would be much easier on both of them. But, it's about the squad now, I think.

Oh god, are we talking about processors, gyroscopic sensors and VR headsets/Visors already? Where is BigTac when you need him? -

You should read the other pages, although it is 9 pages long now, so you can be forgiven. "I think the general consensus is that the people are buying the songs because they are a product of the X-Factor. Rather than the song itself. I swear I saw a post earlier which said that the winners of the X-Factor could sing anything and they'd still get to Number 1 For Christmas. The last four Christmas Number Ones have been winners of the X-Factor. I believe that quite a large section of the public thought "ok, we've followed this guy/girl through the show, they've won, and now we're going to buy the single to show our support." I don't think it's to do with the songs itself, but the people behind the songs. (That's my opinion/take on it.)" That's my post from earlier, page 5 I think. -
Would I be correct in guessing that the two shapes on the right are Quality Street tins? The definitive Christmas gift. I love Quality Street. They're Quality. Edit: Doohhhh. I didn't read the small print. I fail. Edit, the sequel: Aha! You didn't say they were Quality Street. So, I guess I don't fail.

Rage Against The Machine Xmas No. 1 2009

There are many people who want to see Rage win. I mean, they badddddly want Rage to win. So, hence why they're buying multiple copies. It is a bit daft. But then, some people have more money than sense. In all honesty, I think that's got more to do with themselves than it has to do with the actual "point" of Rage taking on the X-Factor. These people want to see the song that they chose win. If they see a song that they chose win, they think that they themselves have won. If that makes sense. -

If we ban Christmas, then there won't be any need for a Christmas Number One. If there's no need for a Christmas Number One, then this thread won't need to be here. Then, it will cease to exist. And Ashley will bring Daft closely to his bossom and we will all link hands and dance rejoicingly to a song that isn't the Christmas Number One. I love ignorance. It is my friend. -
It's tight at the moment, but it's still pretty early on, I think. In the first half of last season, Villa were in the same position they were now, in the top 4. Injuries get picked up at some point, your form falters, your team is tired from already playing a big number of games and I think mentally you become tired, too. The injuries play a huge part...just look at Everton this season.

It's not worth crying over, I agree. For some, it's a "I love Rage, and think it would be funny to see them number one for Christmas." For many, it's them standing up to the X-Factor winners being given a free run at the Christmas number one. It won't mean an awful lot if Rage don't win eet. Plenty of people will be listening to that song for years to come anyway, so I doubt they'll care much. -
I was hoping for Pompey to get a point against Chelsea. But then, they go and give away a penalty. Damn you, Flameboyyy. Also, Burnley are a great team at home. I was shocked when they beat us there, even more shocked when they beat Everton there a week later. God, if only their away form was even anywhere near their home form, who knows.

I think some people just love Rage, and would like to see them Number One for Christmas. *nods* If you asked me a year ago if Rage would be fighting eet out for Christmas Number One, I'd have said..."You lie!" or something. But, that's life, and stranger things have happened. It's a great song, and I've been listening to eet for so many years now. I've already posted my thoughts on the subject already, so it would just be pointless if I said it again. (in particular, my response to MadDog's post) -
Uhh..well..these things happen. Haha. Although, I hope you do a lot more than wave your fist if you find out somebody is sleeping with your wife! *walks in* *catches wife in the act* *waves fist* "DAAAAAMN YOOOOOU, WIFEEEEE!"
-
This would make a grea story. Although, I would be gutted if Ine was my sister. We've done things that should just not happen with your relatives. Unless its with your wife, haha.
-
Who sang at 49 seconds? "At Christmas Time, its hard, but when you're having funnnnnnnnnnnnnnn." It's brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It's so hard not to smile/chuckle when listening to eet.
-
That's harsh. But maybe we can get somebody to spank him (in an un-hot way) and smack the jokes out of him. Bagsy not meee. Or better still, pair him off with my Mum. She tells just as bad jokes as him, haha. Although, that would make ReZ my Dad. Uhhh.
-
Is there any possible way you can remove his jokes whilst you're at eet, Ashleh?

Ice Mario does rock my world. There's just so much genius behind the game. The whole package is beautiful. Up to 65 stars now and still going. I thought Bonefin's Galaxy, with that "boss fight" against King Fin was excellent. I was humming the Jaws theme whilst doing that. That, and the Matter Splatter Galaxy.

Haha, that's actually pretty clever. Well done. I can tell you were chuffed with that one. I dunno, I think a sequel to Donkey Bollocks 64 would be worthy of a launch game. How many of Nintendo's patents or trademarks actually materialise into commercial products or such? They trademark a lot of stuff like this to just cover their backs. It could be like Emasher says, to prevent a "rip-off" or dodgey product being released that is similar to the Wii. -
I did find the jumping really uncontrollable at first. But, whenever I press the A button and hold "up" on the analogue stick, it seems to do the big jump when I need it. It works for me, heh. This one level I used up about 10 lives trying to perform one big jump...because I just couldn't do eet. I can now.

Beast Rider plays like aids, apparantly. IGN gave it something like 3/10. Edit: Gah, sweet stuff on the Commando 3 news, but I want eet on the Wii.
-
There are quite a few I would like. Here are some: Mercs - A childhood favourite on the Megadrive. I love playing this, and I think another 2D/3D edition on the DS would be bluddy sweet. Or even WiiWare. Cyberdyne Warrior was a favourite of mine on the Commodore64. It was pretty simplistic, but I think it also had a great soundtrack and a fun factor behind it. Again, I think DS would serve this best. Oh my shit. Zombies! How sweet would this be to play with some updated visuals, a hoard of new enemies and new locations? This was probably my favourite game whilst growing up. And finally, Golden Axe!! I love this. I know the PS2 got a remake of this, but I think a brand new edition of this in either 2D or 3D would be heavenly. Please, God.

Well done with the victory on Saturday, too. How many has Milner scored this season now? He must have scored about 4 in the last month or something? Hasn't Heskey got 3 in 6? If I was going to make a team of the season so far, Richard Dunne would be in it. My Man of the Match on Saturday. Bastard.

It's a bit of a shame for Wolves, because there were a few occassions where they got the ball into some great spaces. Had they had some of their regular players on the ball in those situations, they might have put one in the back of the net. The game itself was ok, I thought there were some great bits of play, but I don't think we ever needed to get into that second gear. Rooney's got another goal, which is great, and it's lovely to see Valencia getting another one. He's got 4 in the league now, and 2 in europe (according to the stats on the Champions League Website. I know one goal is debateable.) Although it's great that Rooney is scoring these goals, I still don't think his overall play this season has been as good as it has in previous seasons. He was pretty good tonight, but there's just something missing I think. Edit: Look at Villa and Birmingham storming up the table. Can we expect a video by The Villan where he punches the walls, has his lips covered in milk and crying if Villa fail to make the top four at the end of the season?

Life At the moment, there are many good things that are going on in my life, and a few things I want to work on. I don't get out of the house as much as I want to, and I really want to see my friends a bit more. The trouble is that friends are working lots, and then my friends in Brighton are quite a bit far away. It's costing me about 100+ and 5 days of travelling to see them all. Money is a bit tight, but the situation is getting better. I want to have my overdraft cleared by March, so that I can start putting some savings together. At the moment, I'm so, so close to being....halfway there. But, work in the last month has been really quiet, so I haven't made as much progress as I wanted to. I'm absolutely loving working out at the moment, so I'm going to be carrying on with that. I've got my own goal with regards to that. Next year I want to be bigger, stronger, and I think a bit tougher mentally and physically. I definitely see a difference in that respect compared to a year ago, so I just hope it continues. Events There's not a lot I can see in this category. I really enjoyed seeing Massive Attack and Novastar (Belgian Music Artist) with Ine, so I hope we can see more bands and stuff together. I'm really looking forward to the World Cup starting, and also I want to see United do well at the end of this season and the start of the next. Friends/Relationships Things are going well with Ine, and we're spending our second Christmas together soon, wohoo. I don't think she had a guy ever there in person when it was her birthday, but she did last year. So, I hope it's the start of many "firsts" for us. Hopefully we'll be together on Valentines Day. At the moment, it averages out about once every 6 weeks we see each other, which is pretty good considering the distance. Having work coming in means I don't have to worry about money when I plan on seeing her, which is one less thing to worry about. I think it's still early days for us, we've only been together a year, so it'll be good for us to spend as much time together, keep getting to know each other, and just enjoying things as they come. Places and Entertainment There's not an awful lot I can say for these two at the moment. I'm looking forward to No More Heroes 2 and Super Mario Galaxy 2, and probably one or two others. But, these are the main two at the moment. Work Perhaps the biggest thing that I need at the moment is a permanent post as a Teacher. The supply work is coming through pretty regularly, bar the last month. But, my main goal is to get that damn job. Once I get that, then I can get my Newly Qualified Teacher Year done. Also, this will also mean I can probably afford to get a place of my own, and hopefully a few things will fall into place. At the moment, this is the biggest piece of the Jigsaw that I am missing. It may mean that I need to move away from home in search of permanent work, as Wales is pretty crap for teachers at the moment. Too many applicants, not enough jobs.

Retro, I think I need to play a bit more before your post makes actual sense to me, hehe. I've been playing this a bit more. I think I'm on 58 stars now. This game is so bluddy fun to play, and I can't believe how it just keeps getting better and better. I wasn't a fan of Spring Mario at first, but I quite like eet now. I really get excited about playing more. So, can't wait for tonight.
