I feel bad for this. I've...not really been interested in this since I left Belgium. Bishing is moar fun with two people.

That's an easy way out. The lineman isn't responsible for Chelsea giving away all 3 goals, defending terribly, missing chances at the other end (including that terrible, terrible miss from Ramires in the first half when he should have buried it, not to mention the three chances Torres missed...) and giving away a penalty. That is all Chelsea's (un)doing. Not to mention, Dirty Ashley Cole following through on Hernandez. Also, Welcome Back, Spurs fans.

I've had mixed experience with agencies. I went home during my first summer at Uni and tried to get a job in Newport. Printed off a ton of CVs and went to sign myself up to different agencies. I walked into the first one and they shook their head as soon as I walked in. Really was quite a comical experience. They didn't even say hello! Walked in, they shook their head, I asked if I could sign up and they just said they had nothing. Right... It's quite unusual, there are about half a dozen recruitment agencies all within the same street at the arse end of town, yet they all said they had nothing. Before even looking at what sort of work I was looking for. In the end, I was able to carry on with some work at a company I was previously working for before I moved away. That's a bad experience. However, I've had 3 good experiences since then. Two have been with Hays (one was Hays Education) and they were pretty brilliant. Hays was in Brighton, and managed to get me some call-centre work very, very quickly. Hays Education were also brilliant at getting me some supply teaching, despite me not having a car and many of the schools being tricky areas to reach. They were grateful that I was willing to go anywhere, even some tough-ish schools, and eventually they even found me the full time job I have now. I highly recommend both Hays and Hays Education. Can't remember the other agency, but they managed to get me a call-centre job in Newport and I was even offered a permanent contract there, but had to leave to go back to Uni (it was summer work). They can be pretty useless. A lot of the time, you hand your CV in and you never hear anything. But, when you do get something from one, with a little bit of luck, they can treat you well. Reed.co.uk are fucking useless, by the way. Must have applied for nigh on 30 jobs with them and have never heard anything back. Ever. Avoid like the plague.

I was almost sick from laughing at that Torres miss. No joke, I almost keeled over and had to run to the toilets after the game. We weren't great, to be honest. Defensively and in central midfield, we didn't look all that good. Too many stray passes, not enough closing down. The first goal was probably against the run of play and was offside. Pretty sure the second goal wasn't off, but will need to see the replay. However, the difference between United and Chelsea was our wing-play was much better (Young and Nani were our best players, Smalling and Jones also ran themselves into the ground and were visibly shattered in the second half) and we took our chances. Whereas Chelsea didn't. Torres should have scored 4 goals today. Rooney's penalty miss was awful, a good John Terry impression. But, apart from that, he played well. We were very lucky to be 3-0 up, because Chelsea were winning the midfield battle. They defended very poorly for all 3 goals, so maybe it isn't luck. Nani's goal was amazing. Mata had two chances to put a tackle in and failed both times.

Skrtel isn't even good enough to be playing in a first choice back four, nevermind out of position at right-back.
-
Wow, 3-0 and Liverpool down to 9 men. I'm slightly regretting putting the score down as 2-2 and putting Suarez in my fantasy team. Madddoooooooog!
-
I put my banker bonus on Arsenal to win 2-0 today (for I know the score). Along with a few other results turning out really differently, I'm -50 for this week. Also, I've decided to ditch Ramsey from my fantasy team. Arsenal have caused me nothing but trouble this season. First Wilshere getting injured, then the team not getting points. They were awful today, mind. Defensively, all over the place. What's new.

So, I signed up after Haden's YEARS OF CONTINOUS PESTING. What the fuck do I do now?
-
Well, we left Nani on the bench and Young out of the side altogether. Those two have been useful with assists and chipping in with goals. Also, Hernandez on the bench, too, so Rooney by himself. The worrying thing is that I'm not sure who is best suited to partner Anderson in midfield, because nobody seemed to be making the runs forward or playing high up the pitch like Cleverley was. The game against City will be hard. Aguero, Dzeko and Silva are all in great form. We're going to have to defend really well to keep them out.
-
Ugh, that penalty system is awful. Also, slower!? Fuck that.
-
Oh yeah, it's easier to forgive because it was pretty much a second string, which consisted of a different midfield to the one that has been playing together this season) The Arsenal match contains a different set of circumstances, the team were winning for a start before conceding a late goal, being one of them. Ultimately, both games could have been won but the teams have to settle for draws. It's not really a devastating result for either team.
-
Well, it was Benfica away and it's the first start for quite a few of those players in the first Champions League game. Also, 8 changes from the team that won last week. How many other teams can make 8 changes, go away in Europe and get a draw against Benfica? It's probably our hardest group game out of the way now. Not a great performance, but I doubt we're going to see that midfield play together again this season, in the league anyway.
-
That's a good idea in theory. Don't know if it would work in practice, though. Because there would be no incentive to choose any team. In that case, you may as well just have the option of choosing two teams, player one goes for one and player two goes for the other. (it does remind me of the times where I played an ex-housemate at Fifa10 on his 360 and we both went for Man United. We did that quite regularly. Completely destroyed him at one time, 4-0 before half-time, when he decided to rage quit) The opposite of that is, like you say, one team have far superior stats to the other. Maybe it could work in a game-mode where the stats are set to neutral, but not as the main mode. Hated 11. The PS3 version of it anyway. It just felt very dull to play. I'm hoping 12 has a little more flair to it.

This is...so bizarre. Why didn't they put this on the Wiiiii?! Still, very happy we're getting a new Mario Tennis. Hope it's as awesome as the one on the 64. Didn't play Cube version.

Motherf******!! Was not expecting this/that at all. Pretty much sold me the 3DS now.
-
I'll be surprised if we see one report stating that. I'm expecting mostly "dull" or something. Lindergaard looked good when he was given something to do. Don't think he could do much about the goal, as it was a good finish. That performance reminded me of how we played last season. It also shows how things definitely needed changing. Particularly in that midfield.
-
Ah, ok. Fergie made 8 changes to the team.
-
Nothing. I was talking about outfield/creative players. Unless you mean why isn't he playing, in which case it's just to give Lindergaard game time. We're playing shit. No creativity whatsoever from the midfield. The passing is sideways or backward, nobody is making a run forward to support Rooney, and nobody is getting the ball to the striker. It's so slow. Games like this will show how important Cleverley, Anderson, Young and Nani are to the team. They all offer pace, mobility and creativity. Giggs' goal was good, but he was so sloppy before that.

What is this routine, Goron? I take True Whey from MyProtein.com. Apart from that, I don't take anything else. Mainly because of the price/me being skint.
-
It was a good result for Arsenal. Bad because they were winning, but most fans would have taken a draw before the game. United's line-up for tonight worries me a little...all the creativity we've had in the first few games seems to have been left out of the squad. No Anderson, No Young, No Nani, No Hernandez in the starting line-up. All four have been amazing so far. Looks very defensive, to me. Still think we'll win, and its obvious the line-up has been chosen with Chelsea in mind.

I did mention eet, yes. Whens the new season start? Ok...I'll do eet.

I've been doing squats and deadlifts a bit more regularly now. I deadlifted 97.5kg a few days ago and also managed around 90-95kg for squats. Trying to get past the 100 mark for both, as it would be a big psychological boost for me. Trying to fit it around work is tough, but I'm going in the mornings before work now. My routine is to get up at around 5:30-5:45, have breakfast, train, shower, get to work and have my healthy snacks/protein shake, dinner at school, afternoon snack, home, tea, healthy snack/protein shake, and trying to get to bed earlier. I found that when I went to train after work, I was too tired from work, as it would be pretty late when I got there. Also, it would be far too busy, meaning my workouts were not what I wanted to do anyway. So, it makes sense to go in the morning, for me.
-
Fuck yeah, gym thread! I went twice today! Did some cardio stuff in the morning before work, and then went for some shoulder work afterwards (with a bit of tricep thrown in, but predominantly shoulder stuff.) Knackered me out, hehe. As for this press-up and sit-up stuff, it's good for your endurance to go for high reps. It's not really my sort of thing, though. I'd do it if I didn't have access to equipment.

Did you really just compare ignoring Terminator 3 to ignoring somebody banging your Mum up the arse?
-
It does affect them though in one vital aspect: The ending. The ending for Alien 3, Ripley's sacrifice, is made redundant by the introduction and whole plot of Resurrection. It's cruel what was done to her character and wrong. (sometimes cruel in tv or film can be good, but we're talking the bad kind, here). As for the Terminator films, like I mentioned, the message of the second film is lost due to the third film. "Hey, remember all those awesome set pieces where we destroyed Cyberdyne and changed the future...welll...it didn't, lolollol." I still watch these film series' (not the atrocities) and love them to bits, that will never ever change, but the ending has undoubtedly less impact because of their sequels. There's no escaping that. It really relates to the previous part of this post, the ending for the films. Not only that, but the legacy it leaves behind. Instead of Ripley dying heroically, we learn that she is cloned, is an Alien-hybrid, crashes back on Earth 200 years after she died and...has a significant personality change. That's the legacy that is left. Terminator 3 is pretty much the same, and that film even created a platform for future films, such as Salvation, even though they're not really direct sequels. I get wound up about these because I'm pretty passionate about these films in question, but also because they're good examples of their genre. Seeing bad films in the series does impact on their reputation, especially when you consider that names are being dragged through the mud due to the AvP films and so on. It's not good or healthy for their genre.
